My husband, all our guests, and I had a wonderful Wedding reception at this hotel. From the moment we booked our wedding we received excellent service from Kayleigh Devlin the wedding coordinator. Kayleigh would reply to my emails very promptly and all our requests were dealt with immediately. She even came in to check all was ok with us on her day off!
Liz Crombleholme the master of ceremonies was very friendly and welcoming. She went through all our details carefully and understood exactly what we wanted on our wedding day.
The guests were welcomed by the friendly staff especially Claire Wharvell. The grounds were perfect for the garden games we had and for our large photograph of all our guests.
The Rockingham suite looked spectacular with the tables set up as we had requested. Liz welcomed us in to the room and introduced my Dad very professionally. The food was delicious and served to a high standard. Nothing was too much trouble during the day and the room was quickly transformed ready for the evening guests to arrive. The dance floor was ample for our guests and the bar service was very good. Everyone enjoyed tucking in it the hot dogs, burgers and chunky chips served for the evening buffet.
We had a bouncy castle which fitted in the room perfectly. Liz was there until 1am making sure that everyone was ok. All our items from the wedding were left in a room ready for our collection in the morning.
We were impressed with our suite 'The Lordship Suite' and all enjoyed a full English breakfast in the morning. The staff at the hotel did us proud and we shall always be thankful to them. We enjoyed seeing the developments taking place at the hotel in the run up to the wedding and particularly liked the new chandeliers that were installed the day before the wedding. Well done to all involved. Kindest regards, Lisa Smith (was Adcock)

Dear D S (Mr & Mrs Smith),
First of all let me have the pleasure of congratulating you both on what was a fantastic wedding day and all the staff have passed comment to say what a pleasure it was to be part of your special day.
Reading this feedback makes us all feel really appreciated and reminds us of why we are in the hospitality industry.
Thank you for taking the time to write such a review on TripAdvisor. We do hope to welcome you back in the very near future but especially for your complimentary wedding anniversary dinner (which is part of your package), please liaise with Kayleigh to book this in nearer the time.
Once again thank you and congratulations.

Staying here at thwe moment. Has some issues. Basic cleanliness ok but needs more attention to detail hotel looking tired. On the positive staff very attentive particularly Gemma in the restaurant excellent in her customer service. Food good but served on wooden boards very 80s what wrong with a plate? Know that this hotel has been taken over by the future hospitality group who have some work to do.

Dear Chris S,
Thank you for sharing your feedback with us here at the BEST WESTERN Rockingham Forest Hotel, we take all feedback very serious and use this to enhance the guest experience.

We have been taken over in May of this year and investing heavily in to the property and receiving some very positive feedback.
The food offering on the wooden boards is the latest fashion and yes you are right this was imminent in the 80's, it shows that fashion does come around full circle. Should you dine with us again please request a plate and our attentive staff will be more than happy to request this for you.
Thank you for pointing out Gemma as one of many attentive staff we have here.
We look forward to welcoming you back in the very near future so you can share your feedback of the works being carried out to the rest of the world via TripAdvisor.

Thank you once again Chris for sharing your feedback.

Kind regards,

Warren Browning

I have stayed at this hotel a few times and have always enjoyed my stay. The staff are welcoming and friendly. They provide a good service and the night porters are very approachable. The hotel is located in beautiful surroundings and is kept to a high standard. I am looking forward to seeing the changes that have been made since my last visit. I have already booked for another visit later in the year.

Instead of visiting for one day we decided to spend a week exploring an area which we knew nothing about. We were very pleasantly surprised. We knew the hotel would be good having used Best Western elsewhere, but were surprised by a very pleasant town and beautiful surrounding area with villages comparable to the Cotswolds or Devon. The people of Corby are very friendly and only too pleased to be helpful to two "old crocks". We will be back in 10 days' time for the Birdfair at Rutland Water, only 12 miles away and it can't come soon enough. we will of course be staying at Rockingham Forest Hotel.

Room Tip: Wifi was better in reception area. The area is full of history with Rockingham Castle only 300 yds a...

Weekend bought for us as a present. Arrived at midday and was told room was ready. The room was quite spacious, large comfortable bed and choice of pillows. The bathroom was clean, fair size but could do with a light above the mirror. The hotel itself seemed a bit dated, the carpets were a bit ragged and the décor could do with updating. We went down for the evening meal and the waitress took our orders. 40 mins later the starters arrived, potato skins, stone cold. We sent them back and 5 minutes later we had microwaved potato skins. The main course of roast chicken was more like boiled chicken, apparently the chef was having an off night. In the morning we went for breakfast, a good choice of cereal and a fair choice of a piping hot cooked breakfast, pity this chef didn't do evenings. Plenty of fruit and juices on offer as well . The staff were all very polite and helpful .

Room Tip: Rooms at the front face the road but are not too noisy but pick a room at the back for quiet.
