We live really close to this restaurant, but have only eaten in it for the first time tonight.
We opted for the buffet option, leaving the choices to the chef at £6.95 per head. The food was great. We started with popadams, with a pickle tray - lovely. The pickles were nice and cold, not stagnant as you can fine in other places.
Next came a vegetable pakora and chicken on puri - absolutely delicious.
Whilst we were eating this a skillet of sizzling chicken with onions arrived - very tasty.
The main courses were next, chicken curry and chicken tikka masala. Both were very good and accompanied by the nicest pilau rice I have tasted, very light and fluffy.
The owner insisted on us having a naan bread and we chose a peshwari. It was as light as a feather, just perfect. We were completely stuffed and couldn't finish what we had. If you were able to though, more food would be delivered!
We will be back and will bring our kids next time. Well done Eastern Spice!
