“Premier inn Cobham and Premier Service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 June 2014

We stayed at this Premier Inn as a stop off before going to Ascot races the next day. Set away from the road in a pleasant green area this Premier Inn is a set in a very pleasant location. Our room was compact but clean, but what makes this Hotel stand out is the Staff both in the Hotel and the restaurant..

As mentioned by other reviewers, this hotel is perfectly acceptable for an overnight stay if paying approx. £35.

My family (2ad + 2ch) stayed overnight before going to Chessington World of Adventures and it was great! Friendly staff, good sized room and clean. It does show that it's one of the older Premier Inn' but we had no complaints.

Would definitely book in again................

Our worst stay ever at a Premier Inn has converted us back to a Hilton user.
From the unhelpful receptionist who refused to check us in at 4 minutes to 2 o'clock "because check in is from 2". After 4 minutes of finger tapping it was announced that check in could start - like a scene from Faulty Towers!
Even though we had reserved online including breakfast we had to repeat the whole process to make sure we got breakfast.
The room was so small the space between the bed and the walls was 12 inches on both sides, with a miniature shower room. If I wanted to move around to unpack my wife had to sit on the bed as 2 people could not move around.
Lunch in the pub was poor quality - not much without chilli or garlic so we tried the sausage and mash - served in a soup bowl looking like a soup and tasting worse. Service was extremely slow and took over 20 minutes to pay the bill only after 3 requests - and only 3 tables were occupied at the time.
Same story at breakfast. Examples being no choice of milk - semi skimmed or semi skimmed? - no cranberry juice and sausages served raw on one side and burnt black on the other.
Nothing really positive to say other than the beer garden could be good if you could get something decent to consume in it.

Room Tip: Do not stay there

Stayed overnight as family of four. Easy, quick check in by friendly receptionist and we were in our room in moments.
Room was enormous. Super king size bed that was very comfortable along with two single beds the kids slept in with no problems at all.
Bathroom was big enough with shower gel and soap along with a decent, powerful shower and deep bath.
Went for dinner at the pub next door which was great too (reviewed separately).
Our room faced the road and despite having the window open, heard no noise from the road at all.
Breakfast the next morning was back in the pub. Kids eat free with an adult so good value. Full continental range and then you can order what you like from the cooked range. My only tip would be to make sure you put the toast through the toaster twice or it's just warm bread.
We stayed here as it was close to Chessington World of Adventure. Sat Nav took us through a number of wide lanes and we popped out just down the road from the theme park. Only about 10 minutes drive so hotel is ideally situated for visiting the park.
In all, good value for money, friendly, efficient staff and clean, large room meant it was an enjoyable stay.

I stayed at the Premier Inn Cobham on 23rd May 2014. I was completely satisfied with my stay and the comfortable nights sleep was what I needed. The breakfast was top notch and the staff were helpful!

Nice hotel and pub/restaurant. Rooms very clean and tidy. Food in restaurant was very nice and very good value. A very warm welcome from Helen the receptionist who was very helpful and funny. Nothing was too much trouble for her. Like a breath of fresh air.

Stayed for a week working nearby. Usual Premier Inn rooms with good food in pub next door. What made it special and will bring me back again was the staff, mainly Helen, who was fantastic on reception, made our stay very enjoyable.
