I felt the need to update my previous review due to the terrible service we received last easter. We had booked a table for 3.00pm, granted we arrived early at 2.35pm prepared to wait, but we didn't sit down till 3.25pm, drinks order took 20mins to arrive, and despite several requests the girl didn't take our food order til 4.05 then told us it would be 20 mins! By this time we went for main courses only, 5 of us started eating at 4.30pm and another at 4.45pm (they had forgotten his order). They only get a poor because the food was okay otherwise it would be terrible. We saw at least 3 parties of people walk out while we sat waiting so we were not the only ones. WE WON'T BE BACK!

Went with family to celebrate sons 16th birthday mid week mid exams!!! Table was ready and waiting. Staff were all polite and explained the specials. Most chose steak but some had the specials...curry and I had the chicken and chorizo. Wow...was absolutely delicious!!! Would recommend everyone to try The Navigation fab food and service. Cheers

As a party of 4 arriving at 7pm on a Saturday without a booking, when we saw the nearly full carpark we were skeptical, but went inside anyway. So glad we did! Although we hadn't booked the very polite waitress offered us a large table in the bar area, which suited us fine. We ordered of the £6,£8 and £10 menu and all were received well. A mega mixed grill for £10 was brilliant. We had a side of sweet potato fries which we all would highly recommend. Desserts again were well priced and lovely. Will become a regular place for good value, good quality food

For a good cheap meal this place is hard to beat. We treated our friends to lunch rather than have the hassle of home preparation and clearing up. Three of us chose the £8 menu and one the £10. Lasagne, Gammon, egg (and pineapple) and chips. Pork loin and veg. and sizzling chicken fajitas were all totally demolished. With drinks and a tip-£40. Earlier service problems seem to have been solved. Usually one needs to book these days>

I can honestly say until now I have always enjoyed our meals at the navigation but not on this occasion! Very poor service, and a hair in my dessert!
