I must admit to being a bit apprehensive when I learnt (after booking) that the hotel was in administration.
I needn't have worried. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff were friendly, chatty, helpful, and welcoming. I used the restaurant both for breakfast and for dinner (second night) and also had a bar meal on the first night. On each occasion the food was good and served with a smile.
Only minor point (not easily solved) is that in this day and age of phone chargers the rooms need more and better placed power points.
However for £45 a night + breakfast, the value can't be beaten - not even by Premier Inn.
I understand that the hotel has now been sold and I wish the new owners every success. The have a great building and staff members to work with.........

Stayed at this hotel as was on business near Birmingham. The hotel was clean, the staff were polite but the queuing time to check in and book out was simply not good enough. Myself and other guests had to wait at least 20 minutes to check in or out.
The evening food was tasty, but insufficient. 3 of us had a Mixed Grill and it had a very small piece of steak, a very small lamb chop, a very small chicken leg, one sausage and some chips with one veg. If you wanted a Fillet Steak, you only get a 6oz and it is £24.99 - that is far too expensive.
The breakfast however was very good.

Room Tip: Rooms on the lower floor were very quiet

Thank you for your comments following your stay. I was sorry to hear that you were not happy with all aspects of your stay. You wait time is clearly unacceptable, however you do sometimes get instances where many guests arrive to check in or out at the same time and there may be wait times. I will also pass on your feedback about the food to the kitchen.

Thank you once for your feedback

We stayed at the Holiday Inn to attend a friends wedding at Grafton Manor. We could not fault it. We had an executive room which was great, beds so comfy, we had complimentary drinks vouchers, water and chocolate in the room, robes, drinks facilities, everything we needed. We booked for Sunday lunch which was great. Fantastic breakfast! Would not hesitate to book again.

Stayed here several times before and have always loved the atmosphere, cleanliness and the general ambience of the hotel. The staff have always been very friendly and accommodating. The pool and spa are excellent. This was our first choice of venues due to our history. We married Friday 25th April 2014, Nick our master of ceremonies was absolutely AMAZING. All our guests complimented the service saying they felt very looked after- particularly our Gluten Free guests. Nick personally served the 2 guests with a GF version buffet and had laid the table with a subtle hint as to who needed GF. Both guests felt comfortable and had commented they had never been to an event and made to feel equal and able to eat until they were full!!! Of course we had a wonderful day and every step was fully explained and we knew what we were doing at all times. Our room was lovely, we had the bridal suit the night before and our wedding night- thanks to our wedding co-ordinator Lianne. The hotel is very lovely, looks like a little villa not a multi-story hotel. Give this venue a serious consideration - best decision we ever made!!!!

Thank you for your interesting review following your recent stay. I was sorry to hear that we did not WOW you on this occasion. As you can see from other reviews around and about, we do normally have our guests leave with more memorable experiences. I was sorry to hear that on this occasion we failed this. I do hope that this does not deter you from using the brand and the hotel in the future.

Having had a bad experience in our previous night's hotel in Wales, it was sheer bliss to stay at the Holiday Inn at Bromsgrove where everything met our expectations, from the friendly greeting at reception to all the staff we met who were polite, friendly and helpful. The hotel itself was exceptionally clean and met all our needs. It was wonderful to be able to have a swim in the pool even after we checked out before continuing on our journey.
I would particularly recommend this hotel to those travelling with children, as although we didn't have our grandchildren with us this time, the facilities and relaxed atmosphere would, I feel, suit any family looking for a few comfortable days away.

I would recommend the holiday inn as perfect weekend retreat. We were spoilt for choice at the restaraunt and found the price and quality of the meals very acceptable. The room was more than ample for our needs very cosy. My compliments must be given to staff of the restaraunt well done girls keep it up.
