Booked online, and rang the hotel itself to check accessibility, so was surprised to be given a first floor room. I am a wheelchair user, and lifts cannot be used in a fire, so always prefer to sleep on the ground floor! Was shown to an accessible ground floor room, which was a double. I'd booked a twin for my sister & myself, and though we're close, we prefer separate beds.. As we were meeting our family for dinner, I asked if the double-bed could be separated whilst we were out. I was assured that the bed would be sorted out.. When we got back, at 11pm, I found I had to sleep on a camp bed as my sister needed the double bed for her bad back. By morning, I had a bad back too, & a 200-odd mile drive home on hardly any sleep :(
Not happy at all,& the staff were unconcerned. Not going there again..
Breakfast at the Brewer's Fayre next door was good, so had plenty of coffee!More
