Anyone that rates this so call dream as anything better than poor needs to go to specsavers.
Another great decision by St Helens council to allow this plan.
Mis guided
Bad idea
Waste of money

“Sad end product for an inspirational idea.”
Reviewed 25 November 2013

This attraction, quite simply does not work. Sited on a former spoil heap of a decommissioned coal mine the area is plagued by every shade of humanity that you would not want frequenting the area of a tourist attraction. Lack of investment adds to the problem. This is reflected in the physical depreciation of the artwork itself (I would imagine quite a serious problem in the medium term), and the uninviting surrounding area. Until such time as considerably more investment is made available, this attraction is for the extreme enthusiast only. This is not Lancashire's answer to the 'Angel of the North'. Far from it. View it from the nearby M62 Motorway while you can. The growth of the surrounding trees, or the dismantling of the structure (whichever comes first) will eventually prevent it. So much potential, badly managed!

“Don't bother”
Reviewed 25 November 2013 via mobile

Only gave this 1 as there isn't a negative scale on here. Always covered in graffiti and once you get there the best thing to do is turn around and go back home.

“wasteof time”

I would say that this is worth a visit but unfortunately it has been spoilt by so many things. The totally irresponsible dog owners that don't pick there dog poo up, its everywhere. The obscene graffiti written all over the sculpture, that you have to pretend to your children what it means. The smashed what were spotlights cemented over. So much money was spent building this but nothing seems to be done about the upkeep. This is such a shame as its a haven for wildlife such as butterflys, but you can't look probably as your trying to keep your own and your children's feet out of the poo. This looks such a fascinating sculpture to visit as well, and to have a walk but save your time and just look at it from a distance as other people's selfishness have spoiled it. While it's still there

“The grounds are nice - the statue's rubbish”
Reviewed 25 November 2013

It's a lovely walk up to the Dream, which is what I'm giving it 2 stars for.
The actual Dream itself well................. my small children call it "the big white willy" whenever we drive past it.
Ill thought out design and very poorly placed - drive that bit further and visit the Angel of the North instead!
