“Not as impressive as it seems”

its meant to be a tourist attraction but its better viewed passing by quickly on the main road .Its well signposted but when you arrive in the car park its in a very run down area next to a dodgy looking pub ,you then have a 10 minute walk to get to The Dream Only to be disappointed as it's just surrounded by a cinder path.I'd only Go if you want a walk and have nothing better to do for half an hour

Went for a walk here today and made the most of the sun finally making appearance. This is the 2nd time we have been. The first time we walked up and had a look at the big white head, then walked back down again. Today we walked up, down the other side then back again. Great views all the way around. Lots of people there with kids and dogs enjoying a leisurely Sunday. Not many bins for dogs doo doo. Could probably do with better signposting on some of the walking signposts.

This large white sculpture sits to one side of the M62 and keeps a watchful eye on the passing world. It is no "Angel of the North", however, as you have to be pretty close to it before you can work out that it is anything other than a shapeless, white blob.

Viewed from nearby, it is a well crafted piece of work and its message as a reflection of the dreams of a former mining community is clearer.

Like most modern art, this piece has been controversial, not least because of the cost. However, people will look and make their own minds up. I suppose that's how it's meant to be...

Having lived in St Helens I thought to treat myself to a trip to the dream what a mistake I use a mobility scooter to get around all the entrance stiles were never constructed with disabled in mind I only managed to get in with the help of 4 strong lads who carried my scooter over the stile for me when we did get to the dream it was fenced off and looked like a building site I have contacted the relevant departments in charge by email never even replied up close it does look like a male erection
