A clean tidy hotel with basic facilities. Excellent value for money. All staff were friendly and checked with me that everything was to my satisfaction. The added value of a Beefeater restaurant made it even more convenient.

Stayed: May 2014, travelled on business
Thank Andy W

We (2 adults, 2 kids - 12 and 7) stayed here one weekend whilst attending a family party a few miles away. Premier Inn is our preferred family hotel chain not least for the breakfast quality!

Staff were very friendly on check in and the room was nice enough - 1 double bed, 1 single and a put-you-up bed meant that we were all accommodated in comfort.

Generally, the hotel needs a bit of a spruce up and so does the adjoining Beefeater. For example, there were spots of black mould on the en suite bathroom ceiling and the restaurant was a bit scruffy with taps loose in the toilets, etc.

The breakfast (cooked to order as opposed to buffet) was typically good as was the value for money at £73 (B&B rate). Just not as good as most of the PIs we've stayed in.

Just wanted to say that this hotel was one of the most relaxed, and pleasant surprises of a weekend trip. Attached restaurant was very good....but the star of the show was the lady at the reception of the hotel at 4 pm on 25/04/14...Premier Inn take note...this lady was fabulously friendly and helpful every time we passed her....whatever your bonus scheme is please nominate her.

Room Tip: Great location as a base but not as a centre

The staff went above and beyond to sort out travel arrangements for a music event we were going to on the evening. We got back after the restaurant had closed and the gentleman on reception sorted everything to get a take away meal delivered to us. The hotel was clean, quiet and you couldnt ask for a better place to stay.
