Three of us went here on a Sunday evening for dinner. Ordered starters which came reasonably promptly. However, unfortunately the mains also arrived 2 minutes later and were placed on the table whilst we we still clearly eating our starters - who wouldn't be when they had only been delivered 2 minutes previously! Waiter informed us that the chef had made a mistake with his timings - just a bit! Starter plates were never removed from the table. No additional cutlery was supplied for the main course and no sauces etc were offered. Most of the food was ok, other than the broccoli which was discoloured and past its best. VERY DISAPPOINTED

Decided to visit the Three Frogs on the way home from a trip, slightly out of our way but well worth the extra miles.
This pub has recently undergone a makeover and is very welcoming and stylish.
The beer was good (what's not to like about GK IPA), bar service was efficient.
We reserved a table, which was ready for us as scheduled.
Something lacking in chain restaurants is table ordering, however, this was not the case here, the staff were friendly, efficient and accommodating of slight menu changes.
When the food arrived it was well cooked, nothing special (we weren't expecting fine dining!), but for the price it was tasty and plentiful.
I would have given five stars, however, the 'up selling' was rather irritating.
If in the area again, wouldn't hesitate to visit the Three Frogs.

We came at lunch time, it was packed, but the service was second to none. We chose from the two for £9.99 and were not disappointed. Staff were friendly, helpful and cheerful. Even though it was so busy (and hot!) nothing was too much trouble. Definitely return!

Had fish and chip , and the ale pie. But as soon as we arrived we were told there was a 45 minute wait for food, no problem since we hoped we found a hidden gem that everyone was coming too! No it wasn't , it was just ok....service excellent though! New menu seemed good, will give it a second go

Refurbished. Looking good. New menu great. Food excellent value,

BUT management/Green King are cutting too many corners with staff. The staff are excellent but they need to employ more of them. I don't mind waiting a while for a well cooked steak but watching staff doing their best to do 10 things at once is not good. This place will lose business if it does not employ more staff. Watching foreign tourists experience over worked (hard working) staff was embarrassing .

We love the fact it has a proper "pub" feel in the bar but expecting the same staff to work the bar, take orders, clean and chat to customers is plain silly,

In short a nice pub. Excellent staff. But until they employ more staff expect to wait and be nice to the hard working staff ...
