Description: Sanpa is a small organic family business; growing with customer demands and feedback. I started off on my own selling extra virgin olive oil and fried tomato. The shop used to be located right at the end of Peach street with nothing more than boxes of olive oil and tomatoes. Growth has had to be modest, being entirely reliant on ourselves. Coffee was one of the first requests and investments after the olive oil and tomatoes. We wanted to offer people decent coffee, as this is standard in Spain and in many other parts of the continent. Paella Friday, shortly became a tradition and still is at the new premises. Over time, our customers have voiced how they'd like to go for a coffee, a glass of wine, eat something and not break the bank, but eat and drink well. This is how we see ourselves at this stage. Now we are able to offer a small selection of tapas during the day and a set menu in the evenings. We are thankful to our customers constructive feedback and look forward to our unwritten future.

This establishment clearly divides opinion. If you want formulaic menus and decor then this wont be for you. If you want quality authentic Spanish food (including the paella!) served by people who love what they do and for a very reasonable price then this is well worth a visit.

Took friends to this restaurant as had enjoyed wine and tapas there some weeks previously. What a disappointment!! We were given a trestle table upstairs in what was obviously a store room. Packets of loo roll on display on rickety shelves! No soft furnishings at all so the noise level was horrendous. We could not hear ourselves think let alone talk! We sat down at 7.45, at 9.45 we had still not been served our main course of paella. When it did arrive it was clearly not paella. No chicken, no seafood. When we enquired we were told it was beef and bean!!! What a shame? This restaurant could be good but they mustn't expand without the staff and fixtures and fittings to do so successfully otherwise they will only succeed in driving customers away. This is a small town and word soon gets around.

If you enjoy finding those quirky restaurants in back streets of European capital cities then you need to look at this unique little Spanish one in Wokingham. If you want luxury if you want speedy fast food forget it enjoy the chilled atmosphere it's how meals should be. My daughter had specifically ordered the house paella for a Saturday lunch it was better than any I have ever tasted yes even in Spain. Don't expect Seafood it's not but baby ribs and chicken amazing. I would pay twice the price for the food here whilst not an extensive menu the tapas is also great and the house Rioja superb and great price. We also had the house homemade ice cream not done in a machine but by hand and yes it was amazing. Everyone expects something different from a meal but as a restaurant owner myself and a bit of a foodie this is up with the best at 40% of the cost. Like l say AMAZING will be back

This is just the sort of place Wokingham needs. Very chilled, laid back atmosphere with great food and very friendly service. We went in not knowing what to expect and they just kept bringing out different courses - cooked meats & cheese, gazpacho, patatas bravas, croquettes and paella. It was really good and very reasonable and we will definitely be back soon.

This is a delightful place - with a wonderful atmosphere and really good Spanish food. I lived in Spain for 8 months some years ago and really enjoyed this place.
The food is simple - meat, cheese, salad and paella but all is fresh and great tasting.
Service is friendly and slightly haphazard adding to a fresh and easy atmosphere.
Great wine at great prices rounded things off.
