“A Great find”
Reviewed 10 May 2012

We stayed her for 5 nights as we were visiting the Island for a wedding. Our rooms was warm and comfortable, clean and refreshed on a daily basis. The hospitality we received on arrival and throughout our visit was second-to-none. Rosie and Eddie are great hosts. The breakfasts in the morning were fantastic and a great selection on the menu. On our last night we arranged a meal for 14 and there were asolutely no complaints. Everything went well and we then moved into the bar area where we sat and had a good nights craic. My only complaint would be that as our flight was not until 6 in the evening we had arranged a late check-out but at 12.00 noon, the housekeeper arrived to change the bed linen despite us telling her that we had arranged to leave about 2 or 3. She was so insistent that we just packed up and left. Apart from this minor hick-up, our stay at the Sulby Glen was great and I would recommend it highly

Room Tip: Try and get a room away from the bar area of the hotel - its much quieter

Stayed one night here in 2010 while cycling around the island. The hospitality was first class, as was the food, drink and rooms. I am looking forward to staying here again.

Although we are Manx residents we decided to make a holiday out of our trip to Sulby for a fell race.

We found this hotel to be a great little find - warm hospitality, friendly service and very good pub food.

The rooms were very well appointed with a nice sized bathroom and nice views over to Snaefell. There were even plugs near the bed which is a nice change to chain hotels!

Breakfasts were excellent - couldn't have asked for more (lots of choice including kippers!)

Look forward to returning for another mini break!

As always, great beer, great food and great atmosphere from Rosie, Eddie & the team at the Sulby.
Excellent beers and lovely meals, including breakfasts!
A great place during the TT when it gets very busy with race fans.
Good beers from Bushys as well - what more could I want?

Stayed for 5 nights in Sept 2011. Food was very good indeed. I got a surprise one morning to see through the kitchen door that kitchen staff were busily peeling/preparing vegetables from scratch for the day's menu - no catering pack veggies here!

More of a pub (a very good one - excellent beer) with accommodation than a hotel, the service was good and friendly. It only slowed on one evening when a separate function in a marquee brought it to the level common in most establishments. Views from the rooms were of the hills. Parking is at the rear - which is obviously the delivery/service area of the pub. Don't let this put you off. This is why the estbalishment is 2* even though the accommodation is 3* and food is 4*.

I'm just back from my third trip to stay with Rosie, Eddie and the team at the Sulby Glen over 3 years. I always feel welcome and looked after when I go there and take every opportunity I can to recommend the hotel as a great place to stay.

The food, service and rooms are truly excellent, while as a CAMRA pub you know that the beer is going to be good. Nothing is too much trouble for the people there (not that I try to be any trouble!) and as a location it takes some beating; a few minutes from Ramsey, not far from the mountain section of the TT course (via a truly stunning road) and sat on the Sulby straight just after Quarry Bends. With a decent car park and very biker friendly, unless they are full next time I head over to get a lap or two in, I won't even be thinking of staying anywhere else!

Room Tip: I don't think there are any bad ones; room 3 is a great family size room with a double bed and s...
