This was a simply amazing stay

The welcome was wonderful

Maj and Chris made us feel like friends or family

The accommodation was excellent and spotless

The breakfasts were superb and there was plenty of choice

I have actually put on weight

On top of everything else, we had some problems (nothing to do with Ballacowell) that our
hosts helped us through

We feel that we have made friends here!

Thank you for a wonderful stay

I had to make short notice trip to visit my father on the IoM and stayed at Ballacowell for 3 nights. I received a very warm welcome from Maj with the offer of a cup of tea. I had the double room - my first impression was excellent and I was right! I found the room to be very comfortable, spotlessly clean and modern. The ensuite bathroom was as large as many family bathrooms and again spotlessly clean. A good power shower too! I slept very well in the comfortable bed. My cooked breakfast was wonderful - individually cooked, quality ingredients and piping hot. Throughout the visit I felt very welcome. I have spent literally 100s of nights in hotels travelling on business - this B&B standard met or even exceeded many of the 4 star hotels that I have stayed in. Well done hosts - Maj and Chis. I have already booked a return visit in March.

Very comfortable, clean & quiet B&B in the North of the island. Lovely situation & great view; excellent breakfast. You will almost certainly need a car - public transport would be difficult. I understand self-catering accommodation is also available. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: just a few rooms -all quiet.

My walking mate and I stayed here 22-25 October 2012. Maj our hostess welcomed us with a hot drink after our evening drive from the Douglas ferry. The accommodation was spotless and the breakfasts were excellent. Maj made us sandwiches for our snacks out on the hills and this was much appreciated. Our room had an excellent en-suite shower and the location was ideal for walking up Snaefell, Beinn-y-Phott and North Barrule. Nearby Ramsey has good restaurants and we certainly intend to return next year. Excellent all round!
