.I did and received so much back....

Thanks everyone at Teach na Cheoil B&B (The Music House) in Ballyvoy, Ballycastle
part of the beautiful Antrim Coast in Northern Ireland.
... If you are looking for a warm, friendly atmosphere, top quality yet inexpensive accommodation,; somewhere to exchange cultures and language. we did;Te Reo Maori (NZ) and Celtic (NI).. Then Micheal is the host you seek. You will enjoy the company, the food, breakfast, bread, bacon and sausages are all locally produced. It was a pleasure to share, music and history with this very talented and caring family.

My room was upstairs, a luxuriously comfortable bed and bedding, with beautiful views of the countryside, the hills, valleys and on the skyline the coast and cliffs, guardians of the Giants causeway, and Carrick-a-Rede. Easily accessible and only a short distance away. I took advantage of the lovely hot user friendly shower evening and morning, and ample fresh towels provided for my use.

There was ample parking, in a quiet rural location, WIFI internet facility, and full use of power to download photographs, recharge cameras and cellphones to ensure I was in instant contact with family, friends, and safety networks throughout my journey. I was given directions to local historical sites that I wanted to visit. Local knowledge is unique and what I most enjoy about staying in B&B accommodation.
I was on a driving holiday, my days full of meeting new people, new experiences, travelling joys and woes, sightseeing, in all kinds of weather: I was assured that I would be very welcome to stay and thus it was confirmed to be so. I appreciated being so very warmly welcomed by the whole family.
This is so much the way of how things are; of the People and the Land, when in Northern Ireland i found..haere ra...

We had a lovely weekend break staying with this delightful talented family of musicans (and a writer!) All our needs were taken care of and we very appreciative of such a beautiful setting in Glenmakeeran yet within short distance of all of coastal North Antruim's attractions. The crossing to Rathlin Island and seeing its colony of Puffins in such close proximity was a real highlight.
We'll be back.

We've just had a lovely relaxing stay in Teach an Cheoil, just outside Ballycastle, in the beautiful north of County Antrim. The proprietors are the most friendly and welcoming you could meet and when we arrived there was a session of Irish traditional music going full swing in the kitchen (it drew to a close at a sensible hour too, which was a pity!) Teach an Cheoil is run by a family steeped in Irish music, language and culture, and their passion for their heritage is clear and infectious! Nothing was too much trouble for their guests and every request was met with courtesy and promptness. The B&B is spotlessly clean, warm and very comfortable, and the surrounding countryside provides stunning views from every window. Ideally-located just off the world-famous Antrim Coast Road, this is the perfect base for exploring and enjoying the surrounding countryside - the present reviewer would particularly recommend a trip across to Rathlin Island, for a complete escape from, well, everything! The proprietors are to be heartily congratulated on creating a unique B&B experience which is centered on great hospitality and comfort, combined with a totally authentic - not contrived - Irish cultural experience. Very highly recommended.

It was truly our pleasure and privilege to welcome Patrick and Bronagh here. Knowing their deep appreciation and skills for Irish traditional music and culture their kind words mean the world to us. We are the real McCoy or Sands (Ó Seanáin) in this case. We believe that our Gaelic culture is welcoming, inspiring and open to everyone from wherever they visit. In fact, it is our singular duty to promote it and we aim to do that via the B&B and in our lives as musicians, teachers and writers. Fáilte romhaibh uilig, táraigí ar ais chugainn gan mhoill.

I had the pleasure of being one of the first guest at this new bed and breakfast near the Antrim coast. It's a lovely clean family home. The countryside could not be more picturesque and peaceful. They are a musical family with traditional kitchen sessions. They'll welcome you to join in playing, or just relaxing and enjoying the music, song and Irish culture. In my short stay, they had me playing whistle and learning Irish phrases! My room was bright and warm with a beautiful modern bathroom and plenty of hot water!
