“Under Development”
Reviewed 31 August 2012

Bangsbo mainly consists of a Manor House with moat around it which in turn is surrounded by botanical gardens and a museum telling you about the local history. It is a little bit out of Frederikshavn, so if you have trouble walking you will need a car. Bangsbo itself is a large development of woodland and on the outskirts there is Bangsbo Fort which is an old world war 2 bunker. The botanical gardens are still being developed so are not quite ready but the whole area is very pleasant and would be ideal for a picnic or the like. The only dislike was that it was so spread out we didnt get to see it all (as we were on foot) and the trail next to the river was a little muddy as it got little sunlight due to the trees, but other than that, a very pleasant experience.
