Sure it helps to have a Turk along as the staff members speak little English, but we met a British couple who stayed here for a week and had a wonderful time. The manager, Ali, owners and staff do all they can to make your stay good. We came for 2 nights and stayed for 3. The hotel reminds me so much of places I stayed on vacations as a kid, though up to date. From the lakeside rooms you walk down a flight of stairs to the beach where there are chaises and umbrellas waiting. The views from upstairs rooms are gorgeous especially at sunset. The lapping of the waves soothes you to a comfortable sleep.
They serve a typical Turkish breakfast and have good, reasonably priced food available for dining throughout the day and evening. Many Turks come for the day to fish, swim and "piknik" at the campground. A play area and game nets may be used by all. This in no way interferes with hotel guests.
Yes, the rooms are fairly small, but we have paid more for smaller ones. Same for bathrooms. Fresh roses from the garden appeared on our bed and in a vase. Cosy down comforters and softer towels than many places were a plus.More
