“Fantastic Facilities Let Down By Average Food and Expensive Drinks”
Reviewed 24 February 2014

Just back from a two day conference at this fantastic chateau / castle. Location was first class; the surrounding area was excellent, and conference facilities were second to none.

There was free WIFI throughout the venue, but some of my colleagues had blackspots in their rooms(in which case - they just checked their mails etc in the the general conference area of the venue).

But this was let down by the buffet breakfast, lunch and evening meals, which were just average (not only my opionion - but also of my colleagues). We also agreed that the drink prices in the bar were expensive, ie a small glass of white wine (125ml) was €8 - which left a sour taste in our mouth (pardon the pun) - shame really - otherwise I would've given a five star review.

One other thing - no survey or feedback form to complete on departure - which was a bit strange.

This is one of the best training centers I have been to. Good surrounding areas, far away from city hustle, good scenic beauty with small lake and jungle area with good weather makes it a total magical place. Rooms are quite good for a single person to stay with adequate amenities.

Most visitors to this facility will be here for a business meeting. It works just fine for that purpose. Everything is set up for all the various technologies that are used to entertain and inform the troops these days. Meals and coffee breaks happen exactly when they should. The simple bedrooms are completely functional. On the other hand, it is a bit of a disappointment to travel a long way for mediocre food. No one will starve here but a French country estate makes one think of something a little less industrial. Another minor quibble (and not necessarily minor for some obsessive types) is the erratic cell phone coverage. I sat at a conference table with four people who spent the morning calling and emailing their home mobile phone companies trying to figure out why their phones would not roam successfully at this location.

The meeting rooms area and auditorium is perfectly set. The castle is in good shape. Wifi is all over which partially offsets the very poor cell service in the area. Rooms are monastic and with a questionable set up. Carpet in the bathrooms makes me frown at the achievable hygene.... The complex is in a fantastic wood. There is a pool I did not visit

Didn't stay here for the night but had a full-day business meeting. Great campus. The castle is in perfect shape. The conference center which is a modern building opposite to the castle offers great meeting facilities with floor to ceiling views of the surroundings and castle. Lunch at the castle was okay but not impressive. I would certainly recommend this as an inspiring meeting or sales kick-off location.

Stayed in this hotel for a business venue. Meeting rooms are bright with lots of windows.
The rooms of the hotel are very basic, based om an ecological philosophy. Everything is there but nothing more and very basic colours used. For one or two nights it is ok, for holiday I woud get depressed. Diner in the castle is beautifull but the food pretty average.
