“Memorable Week-End”
Reviewed 9 March 2014

Just back from Le Touquet, had a fantastic time, stayed at the Holiday Inn. The staff were of the highest calibre. Hotel spotless, breakfast buffet excellent. We were really made to feel that the staff wanted us to enjoy our stay. My only complaint very very minor is that there was only one English speaking channel, surely in this age more could be provided? We will certainly return and stay at this Hotel.

Room Tip: Don't stay in a ground floor room

My wife, our 3 year old son, my mother-in-law and I stayed here for 2 nights between Christmas and New Year. We booked a cabin (and a standard room next to ours for my mother-in-law) which meant our son had his own little bed in a separate annex (he was delighted). Our room, on the ground floor opened out to a small grassy area shared with a few other rooms. The room was spacious and clean with a generous king size bed.
We ate in the bar, which was a good choice. The menu is very much snacky but the quality and service was excellent, with a good selection of wines. The staff were all very welcoming and made our meals very enjoyable. Note that it is possible to walk to restaurants but we decided it was not a good idea in late December.
We used the swimming pool and the hot tub. The pool and hot tub could have been a little warmer but nevertheless we enjoyed it. It is necessary to collect towels from reception (this is not obvious) - there is no charge for the towels. The changing rooms were clean but the lockers were not really adequate for our clothes (and not lockable) so we took our clothes down to the poolside.
Overall we rate this hotel very high - it is in an excellent location near to the forest and only a 20 minute walk to the beach. Car parking is good and all the staff were very friendly.

Room Tip: Our cabin was spacious, clean and opened out onto a small grassy area which would be lovely in the s...

We took the chance to visit France for an overnight stay this week, and selected the Holiday Inn Resort at Le Touquet.
The decision was mainly driven by the fact that we were travelling with a friend, and we liked the "duplex rooms" that this hotel advertises for the use of up to four adults.
The hotel itself is a typical Holiday Inn situated quite close to the centre of town, but you'd probably benefit from using a taxi if you want to go for a meal there at night.
The rooms are right at the back of the hotel, and are exactly as described - duplex with a mezzanine floor containing two king size beds. The down side is that there is only one bathroom on the lower level and a separate toilet, which means one has to negotiate the rather narrow stairs at night!
The mezzanine was very hot (even in November) and a simple fan was provided. I can't imagine what this space would be like in the Summer months so take care then if you book.
We opted to stay in the hotel, and had the entire restaurant to ourselves that evening. The food and wine is of high standard, but equally of commensurate high price as well.
Overall, I would use the hotel again, but could not recommend the duplex room for the reasons mentioned.

Room Tip: A regular room would have suited us better, although the duplex would be great for a family group.

This is my third stay in this hotel, the staff are friendly and the hotel has comfortable rooms and bar area. I never used the breakfast facility on this occasion as the walk into Le Touquet town is only 10 mins, through beautiful tree lined streets where there are an aray of cafes, restaurants and pattisserie. The hotel is an unusual layout with almost a 'street' like feel to the downstairs rooms, which makes it a very spacious and airy. There is an open area with seats upstairs, where families can sit and play games, read etc. Small children would need watching as there is a tight spiral staircase that can be used as an alternative to the main stairs or lift to get upstairs, it appeared a magnet for them to play on when i stayed in the school holiday. I went with my husband and friends on this occasion and our rooms were clean, the bathroom and toilet were separated by a second door, i think this makes the rooms quieter as i never heard any corridor noise. The bath does have quite high sides to climb over to get into the shower and towels are fairly small but all the usual shower gels etc are provided. The room also has tea/coffee making facilities, you only get two tea bags, milk etc but the staff are more than happy to give more at reception. The only disapointment during this stay was the swimming pool area. The pool itself was clean albeit a bit on the cool side but the changing room lockers and floor is in need of refurbishment. There are two doors to the changing room but one was stuck open, often giving everyone a direct view in from the upstairs seating area, as the second door opens straight on to it.The stairs going down to the pool are slippery, although there are warning signs and there are only a few loungers to relax on. Overall i enjoyed my stay and would use the hotel again, probably not have a swim but enjoy it's convenient position away from the busy town but close enough for a lovely walk in.

Have used this hotel for business visits twice in the last couple of years and would not hesitate to recommend.
Beautiful surroundings, easily accessible, quiet, comfortable rooms and good bar service (but..... it wasn't open when we got back at eleven in the evening...which seemed a bit strange...).
Sleep quality was only OK, but then I find the first night away in any hotel is never the best. It's not the hotel's fault...it's just me I'm afraid. But I did have to get up in the night to switch the air conditioning off.
Nice breakfast service too.

Room Tip: A room on the upper floor might be preferable

We went away with friends of ours to Le Touquet and chose the Holiday Inn due to the photos of the pool.

I have to be honest, although the pool was lovely we all found it rather cold and even the jacuzzi wasn't much warmer than the pool. Lack of towels also was a bit of a pain and in fact after swimming the first day we didn't bother again so I would say be prepared should you book the hotel for the pool as we did.

However, the rooms were large and spacious, we had rooms 299 and 230 and they were perfect, very clean, super comfy beds and pillows, extra blankets and great heating. I could of happily stayed another few days.

The bar was a little pricey dependant upon your choice and the grounds and facilities were excellent.

The staff on reception were lovely and helped us out with our embarrassing lack of French.

It's a good 15 minute walk into main town and with heels in the dark this is hard so just be aware should this sound like you.

I can't comment on the breakfast as we wandered in to town to try different places.

A very warm and welcoming hotel and I felt very relaxed and at home. I certainly would stay again.

I have used this hotel twice before. It's a light and airy hotel, with a nice pool and bar area.. Found breakfast was comprehensive, offering scrambled eggs, sausages, bacon, as well as cereal, pastries, ham, cheese etc.. All the staff we met were friendly and welcoming.
Downside was the high sided bath that had to be negotiated before you could take a shower. The dreaded shower curtain, and a shower with a partially blocked head. In fact standing underneath a watering can would have been more powerfull.
Also on the downside was, you were only given 1 teabag and 1 carton of milk each per day. Found we had to ask reception for more on every day of our stay.
