Hotel Red Fox

The Red Fox has a great location in the bustling centre of Le Touquet. The room we stayed in (407) was great - large, modern and clean. We did see a few other rooms and they looked a little on the small side. The price was a bit steep at 98€, but that was more down to the weakness of the pound.

Due to its location, parking can be a little challenging, although there is a free public car park about 200m down the road.

At 13€ per person, the breakfast is verging on the extortionate. Better not to take it, buy some pastries at the lovely patisserie over the road and then order a coffee at one on the pavement cafes. The ones that don't serve breakfasts don't mind you eating your own pastries there.

Le Touquet itself has a slightly faded charm about it which is quite endearing. There's plenty of restaurants and bars and the evenings are busy and lively without being too boisterous. Restaurants are fairly priced.

The beach is huge and there's a large amount of 'wind-based' activities going on like kite surfing and sand yachting.

Just back from a wonderful weekend in Le Touquet, 6 girls all had a great time. We had requested x2 triple rooms but it was suggested we take the larger type for an extra 10euros. What a smart move. Lovely bedrooms, all seemed newly redecorated, four beds in each and very spacious. Bathrooms were lovely and very modern with good shower and added benefit of separate toilet also a hairdryer fixed in. Plenty of coathangers in wardrobe with room to lay your things out and store away your bags. Air conditioning helped and meant you didn't have to have the windows open. We took ear plugs and all used them as it really doesn't matter where you stay, Le Touquet comes alive in the morning whether it be the market or the wonderful brass band marching down the street. I do think some of the reviews on this site are quite harsh and having stayed in The Windsor, Blue Cottage and Nouveau Caddy this was the best. Staff very helpful at check-in and very welcoming, we didn't have the breakfast as not usually up in time! We used the car park as the car was stacked with wine on the way there - you have the space right up until you leave Le Touquet (not check-out time). Had some fantastic meals there, we love the Paris-plage for seafood - amazing langoustines and the goats cheese salad was fab. Make sure you have a Kir Royale!!

We checked in to the Red Fox and they told us that our room was across the road in their brand new extention to the Hotel. it had only been open for 2 days. Excellent... very clean and new. So nice to stay in a really clean and new hotel.Beautifully decorated and great double size shower. hairdryer in the bathroom but no tea making facilities. Breakfast is 13 euros so better value to go to one of the many cafes where we had the same for 7 euros. our room overlooked the back of the hotel and very quite, our friends were at the front and was equally quite given with the help of brand new double glazed windows. friendly staff highly recommend.

Well for a start the Red Fox is very central to the town... however pictures on expedia make it look bigger and the room was so small and a bit of a squash!!
We stayed for 2 nights and slept badly both nights.. however after 2 late nights and a bit of alcohol it was ok i guess.. wouldn't stay again however... although le Touquet is just so so beautiful and the beachs are just stunning..

We arrived in Le Touquet with a view to camping on our way down to Le Mans and being unable to find a campsite I started ringing a few hotels, The Red Fox I had noted on TripAdvisor as being recommended and was delighted when they confirmed that they did have two rooms that night. We drove round to the hotel and took up the offer of the secure underground car park at an additional 10E. The rooms were both of a good size and the bathrooms have been recently refurbished to a high standard. I didn't notice any noise issues, but as we had been travelling so long I could have slept stood up frankly! The only thing that annoyed me was the extortionate 13E each for breakfast which was fairly rubbish so did make our one night stay quite expensive. Good hotel overall and a top central location with secure parking, if you don't mind paying for it.
