Reviewed 13 January 2013

This was a nice hotel to stay at but it is not close to anything you may want to visit as a tourist. Cabs aren't cheap and neither is renting a car of course. My wife and I stayed here and enjoyed the hotel but not walking the long distance to see the sites.

This is a good hotel in Paris if you are looking for somewhere to get a good nights sleep that is away from the hustle-and-bustle of the centre of Paris, and yet within easy reach of the metro. I would not recommend the restaurant for evening dinner. I was late arriving at the hotel, and decided to have my evening dinner there. I should remember that it is always a bad idea to have a meal when there is a menu that has photographs of what the meal will look like! So - the photograph of the steak was amazing - unfortunately the reality was nothing like the photograph - it was not tender to eat (a poor quality steak), and was served with luke-warm french fries. Disappointing meal.

This is the worst hotel at this sort of price that I have stayed at anywhere in the world. It claims to be 4 star which is a joke. Air con doesn't work so horribly hot unless you get staff to open the window (which doesn't have a handle so you can't close it again). Luckily we were at the back but rooms facing the Périphérique must be noisy if the window is open. Room on arrival was dirty plus no milk, no kettle, fridge didn't work. So after 3 trips down 8 floors to reception we were given another room but had to take all our stuff to it by ourselves and unimpressed by reception guy who went to get key card, shoved it into my hand while jabbering into his mobile and walked away while I dragged our cases along the corridor. And yet another trip to reception as we were given only one key card. Second room was cleaner, but air con still a problem, the safe didn't work and the carpet was stained. The room was not cleaned properly during our stay until we complained. Breakfast understaffed so on each morning of our stay there were either no bowls or no spoons, and when I came down at 9 o clock quite a lot of what should have been on offer had run out. Staff poorly trained - no spoons so ask a girl who says OK but then continues to tidy up the breakfast buffet, fill up the cereal containers etc while I and everyone else waits. David on breakfast duty was helpful and trying his best but let down by the set up. My husband was working late so one evening we ate in the hotel. The food isn't bad at a push though Paris obviously has a lot better to offer if you can get out - my scallop dish was quite tasty but small - but the waiter we asked for the bill appeared to be high. Some reception staff were good, others need more training eg it's no good blaming the guest for putting on the air con on the assumption that it would cool the room when actually even if set to zero it actually heats it up. And what sort of 4 star hotel is it that provides paper cups for the room tea and coffee, and only one of each sort of teabag in a room designed for 2 people? To be fair we were given one night of our 3 night stay for free, but I would much rather stay somewhere decent to start with. All a shame, as actually it's quite well located for access to the centre on the Metro, and other Novotels I've stayed in have been fine. Novotels are all bland and all look the same wherever you are, but you use them for their reliability. Without that, why go there?

clean, spacious rooms with daily housekeeping. close to metro for short trip into city centre. Would return to this hotel although i would prefer somewhere with less beggars about. The rooms have hot drink facilities but only offer 1 sachet of coffee per person each day so might be worth buying some before you arrive.

I’ve stayed in the hotel for 2 nights, in a business trip. The hotel is quite far away from center town, but I already knew that, so it is ok. The surroundings are not very pretty, but that was not a problem.
The hotel is quit modern, the staff at the reception was not very friendly, but they were professional and competent.
The room was very big, on the 7th floor, very clean in spite of some wear marks on the carpet. Toilets and WC were clean and fresh. I liked the coffee/tea facilities and safe (free), as well as the minibar.
Breakfast is not so good, the eggs were almost uneatable and the bacon was just raw and very, very greasy. I couldn’t eat it. There is no big choice on food, at breakfast and I might say that it was the worst of my stay.
If you are expecting for a real good breakfast, please don’t go there.
But, if you are expecting a average hotel, clean and well maintained, this is the place.
If I would go back again to this hotel? Well, I really don’t know, because, as I said, it’s just an average hotel. Not bad, not good…. Average!

My daughter and members of my family stayed at this hotel for 4 nights as part of a package deal.

Rooms were basic but clean and there were several 'small' issues, including air con not working. The main problem however which could have ruined a pleasant trip to Paris was the standard and adequacy of the food during the stay and levels of service was very poor. Tiny portions were served and the menu was basic to say the least. Grated carrot for starters and one small chicken leg and plain penne pasta as a main was sadly typical as an unappetiser. A badly bruised apple in a teacup adorned a pudding! McDonalds became a welcome haven for many guests. Not good!!
