“Great basic hotel”

I would recommend this hotel because the rooms are clean, modern and well maintained. The rooms are a tad small by Australian standards, however this is to be expected in Paris. Breakfast was great with a selection of fresh food on offer.

We found he staff pleasant & helpful for the French.

In most hôtels, there is some consideration regarding washing sheets and towels every day, now that we know for sure that there is an environment problem !! right ! Well, there is a sign saying to put your towels in the bath to wash.. well they wash anyway and change your sheets every day. Don't they do any mathematics. the cost of hot water, soap, personnel to do all this washing. they would have had money to change the toilets which are all old and look dirty because of a dark circle in each toilet !!
Wifi does not work in your room as promised, or in lobby... 2/5.
Some of the personnel is quite aware of the lack of consciousness of managers who only want to make money no mater what...
We found this hotel far from center...

I am boxing 85 years of age and my wife is 77. We both suffer from bad backs and we found the bed to be firm (no sag) and ideal for us.

While the room was very small (room 515) it had two excellent noise exclusion features. The room had a small "hallway" with an entrance to the bathroom (which was excellent) . A door separates the "hallway" from the bedroom proper. When closed it excludes any serious noise from the corridor. There are two windows, an inner and outer, both of which may be opened. All street noise is eliminated when both are closed. We left both a little open for fresh air and the noise was still reduced. We did not test the air conditioning

Storage facilities were severely limited. There is no wardrobe and clothes are stored on a gantry to which five clothes hangers are attached. There are two storage boxes.

Lighting was no better than in most hotels: not good enough to allow one to read a newspaper.

There is a big rigmarole in accessing the free WiFi. Bandwidth is poor and is unsuited to any serious work. It is OK for listening to internet radio but TV is very scrappy.

We had one meal only in the restaurant. It was very good and not too expensive.

We made our own breakfast with brown bread which we brought with us. The kettle was fast and reliable.

There are two Metro stations within 10 minutes or so walking distance.

Good value for money.

The desk thugs are rude and thieves: Don't ask for pillows or hand soap you WILL find out about rude Parisians and get a tongue lashing. Don't expect a wake-up call (The phone doesn't work).
The rooms are miniscule and dirty, more brothel than Hotel! Expect to be robbed after your Tour Director makes a Taxi Reservation and the DeskThugs or Management cancel it and make there own with a $5 buck charge for re-making a taxi reservation and upping the set price! The food is Unpalatable. And, there's NO HOT WATER! And, one more thing...Hire a Body Guard is you intend on walking the streets around the hotel

Room Tip: Find another HOTEL!

We had booked an extra two nights after our tour had ended and asked to be in the same room for the 4 days, but they put us in a twin room, whilst a single person on our tour was given a double room. Then when we asked to change our room to the Superior Delux room as booked they wanted us to store our luggage and not have use of the room for 1 day. Not satisfactory. Staff at this hotel were very off handed on the verge of being extremely rude. It is a half an hours drive from the city so not in a very good location. Rooms quite small and very green.

Room Tip: Perhaps look elsewhere

This was one of the first places we stayed for two nights on our 5week holiday of uk and europe. At this point in time we were travelling as a couple, on a large group tour.
Rooms are smaller than we are used to in nz and Australia, but still had everything we required and wasn't ridiculously small. We found this hotel to be clean and comfortable, I absolutely loved the choc Danish's served as part of buffet breakfast (this quite possibly was the start of my 5kg holiday weight gain ;)
Had an enjoyable time in the down stairs bar, although I think the bar tender was rushed off his feet. Really enjoyed our short time here.

We were booked into this hotel for one night only, at the end of a tour. First impressions of the room were that it was very green - in colour that is - and secondly, it was small. The carpets in the hall were worn, however, the paintwork in the room was new and fresh (and green). The bathroom was OK and we slept well as the bed was not uncomfortable and there was no road noise. The view was over an adjacent building so nothing exciting. The hotel has a lovely outdoor garden area as well as an indoor area for breakfast and we enjoyed sitting outside in the morning. Around the corner there were a number of cafes which served excellent food and the metro stop wasn't too far away.
