Pleasant hotel in a good location in the national park. A little remote from the route home but worth the detour. Restaurant a bit limited for fussy kids but the drive into Troyes was worth it . Grounds were great for walking the dog. The room (suite) was very comfortable with lots of space. Beds very good although both were doubles and Teenage boys had to share one. WiFi was poor. Good Air-Con if a little noisy.

We have stayed in this hotel on numerous occasions both winter and summer, our last visit being in 2013. It is comfortable and the setting is lovely. However, we were really taken aback by the attitude of the staff. The receptionist was totally indifferent, making us feel we were an inconvenience. Likewise the blond girl who served us in the restaurant had such a bad attitude we found her downright rude. The restaurant no longer has its buffet menu and the food is poor as is the breakfast. Queuing for the coffee machine for 5 minutes is appalling! It seems no-one is in charge of the running the place. Our one night stay was 200 euros and for that price there are plenty of alternatives!

We arrived for our annual stop over en route to "South of France" it was lunchtime but no food was made available apart from damp soggy rolls , room had a terrible smell and the toilet as well, i called Reception who were as on arrival unhelpful, had to wait for housekeeping , who never arrived despite two more calls to reception, I was also convinced that the sheets were soiled. Dinner a real disaster our Rose was warn we mentioned this and were given a saucer of ice, the head of the restaurant said sorry that was it as he said to a couple of other people who were dissatisfied, we were credited for the wine but not for the cold food, breakfast was low on display not good. Reception was not interested on departure, I have cancelled our return stop over already booked for 16/08/2014 never again after 8 years would I go back Its worn out and tired needs refurb

Room Tip: no good rooms all very tired decorative as the staff are

We arrived at lunchtime en route to Italy. The hotel is in a lovely setting and easy to find. Service at reception was unhelpful. We had a lacklustre lunch in the bar (lots of wasps) and then went for a dip in the pool.

The pool seems to be a semi-permanent structure, filled with insects - both alive and dead. There is a filthy cabin the corner to get changed in. Luckily the pool is big enough to swim properly and allow the kids to splash around in.

The room was OK with a mezzanine level for the kids. Small bathroom and separate WC.

We had booked dinner in the restaurant - a huge mistake! We were still plagued by wasps, but the service was truly dreadful. Downright rude when someone did decide to speak to us, slow, unhelpful. We didn't hang around for dessert. It wasn't just because we were English either, as the party at the next table sent back one dish because it was cold and another dish was over-cooked.

We didn't bother with breakfast at 13 euros each the next day (café at E Leclerc cost 7,50 euros for four people). We definitely won't be back.

On arrival we weren't made to feel welcome, rather that our 9pm arrival was an inconvenience. The hotel was outdated and very corporate, it sells itself as 4 star and although surroundings are grand, the hotel itself has seen better days. Breakfast was a joke, the hot food ran out at 8.45 and was replenished with just a few slices of bacon and enquiry into whether there would be more was met with a disbelieving no. The pastries ran out too and weren't refilled. Plates ran out and so no one could serve themselves, then the coffee machine (with rather poor coffee!) broke down and the waitress snapped rudely at a woman who complained 'well there are lots of people the machine can't cope'. The restaurant was half full but anyway they should plan for the number of guests they expect! All of the problems - no hot food, no plates, no coffee - could have been forgotten if service had been smiley and apologetic, instead it was rude and irritable. Wouldn't dream of staying here again.

Average chain hotel, a bit drab and outdated but ok. Staff very unhelpful and disinterested on arrival. Didn't feel welcomed at all, maybe we disturbed their evening by arriving at 9pm? Certainly felt that way. Was only a stop over on a road trip but preferred our budget Ibis stopover! Wouldn't bother again.

In the middle of Nowhere surround by a golf course and woodlands, so you will need your sat/nav.to take you there. We were with a group of sports car fanatics driving down to the south of France and this was our first overnight stop. What a great start to our holiday, superb double bedroom and luxurious en-suite. Lovely indoor and outdoor pools and other leisure facilities, well cooked and presented food for dinner and likewise breakfast in the morning. Certainly recommended.
