Reviewed 16 February 2012

In the centre of the town of Bautzen and easy walk to other restaurants, large free parking lot, reception friendly and efficient, rooms very clean but the heating could have been better given the outside temperature was -16 degrees C. A choice of pillows was offered which was great given the usual miniature pillows provided in Europe, a request for a firm pillow was answered very quickly. Room was well-equipped, comfortable bed and included a mini-bar where the prices were cheaper than those charged in the hotel bar, breakfast was good with a choice of hot and cold food, coffee arrived quickly and you could request fried eggs to go with the bacon, a considerable improvement over the Holiday Inn food in the USA. We ate one evening meal in the restaurant which again was very good, well presented with good service.

I spend there a weekend with my husband. The hotel has excellent location in the city centre and is very clean and well maintained.
I have only 2 constructive comments: the hotel Front desk staff does not speak English very well and the noise from the outside during the night is very unpleasant as there is a billiard bar on the side of the courtyard/parking and people are standing outside being very loud. But there is anything you can do with it.
Despite of the fact we were lucky because of the weather I was missing the a/c in guest rooms.
I liked the hotel indoor flower decorations.
I really enjoyed the bar specials: cocktails for Ladies. I tried them all and they were delicious.
Anyway, thank you for pleasant weekend.

This Hotel is super close to the fantastic city center of Bautzen. You have a gorgeous look to the old and aslope tower "Reichenturm" and it is just a 5 minute walk to the Sorbian Museums (the Sorbs are a Slavonic Minority who live in Lusatia). The hotel itself is good, nice breakfast and comfortable beds. Honest and friendly service.

stayed at the holiday inn bautzed a few times, overall about three weeks on business (year 2000). very nice english speaking hotel staff. clean nice rooms and definitely good enough breakfast.
behind the hotel at the other end of the parking lot there was a pool/bowling hall. they were a bit suspicious of strangers, but very nice, good tables and good food too. very nice italian restaurant around the corner. very nice Serbian restaurant in a cellar in the old city. cheap chinese restaurant around the corner. very good shopping mall right across from the hotel (but it was before the Euro, so i guess it's more expensive now. back then it was still in east-german prices, so we got some really good deals on coats and stuff like that).
unfortunately did not have time to see much of the town...

Our group stayed at the Holiday Inn for one night. We didn't have a reservation but the staff was able to accommodate our group without any problems. Great English-speaking staff.

We paid 132 Euros for our triple room, #234. Very large room. The main sleeping area had two twin beds. The sitting room had a fold-out bed. Our room was comfortable and clean. Large bathroom with a separate tub and shower. No problems with hot water in the morning.

The Holiday Inn had a private parking area next to the hotel which cost 5 Euros per night to park.

Buffet breakfast had a great selection of fruit, yogurt, cereal, meats, cheeses, eggs, potatoes, etc. Good variety of beverages-assorted tea selection, coffee, juices and milk

Great location in Bautzen. For dinner, check out the Monchshof (spelling?) which was recommended by the staff. Awesome German food. Chicken with Gorgonzola Sauce...delicious!!!

No complaints about this hotel. We plan on staying here again.
