Crowne Plaza Venice East-Quarto d'Altino

Once we decided to drive from Milan, a hotel with good road access, free parking, and proximity to a commuter train became desirable for our quick visit to Venice. This hotel meets all 3 criteria, plus it is well-appointed, with good-sized rooms, a good breakfast, and reliable free WiFi in the room. The staff were efficient and helpful, and the convenience of buying train tickets at the desk was much appreciated. We don’t often stay at modern hotels in Europe, but the Crowne Plaza definitely fit our needs, at a very reasonable price. An unexpected plus for us was an excellent seafood restaurant—Cosmori—just up the road. If you don’t want to pay top Venice prices and don’t mind the reasonably short train ride and the somewhat quirky schedules, then definitely consider this hotel.

The hotel is right next to the train station which takes you into Venice in 30 minutes - very convenient.
I like staying outside the tourist area because you get so much more comfort & space.
The staff was friendly, and our room for 3 was huge (Club Level).
My wife & daughter loved the shower!!!
I would definitely recommend this hotel to business or tourists.
There is a great Pizza shop within 100yds of the hotel (take-away only), reasonably priced and VERY friendly. They even had an English menu for us to order from.
Some tour books recommend staying right in the old downtown Venice. After watching folks struggle with their luggage up/down steps, banging around crowed streets and wading through flooded areas...I am SO glad we stayed outside.

Room Tip: The Club Level was awesome!

The hotel is 1 min walking from train station. The train is going to Venice 30 min. So if you want to visit Venice there is a really good choice. It's cheaper than same hotels in Venice, and better than hotels with same price. Breakfast and lunch are not extraordinary but good.
Junior suite is really good room - spacious and comfortable.
I recommend this hotel.

Stayed at this hotel Friday-Monday, in early May. The location is well outside Venice itself, about 10 minutes away from the airport.
The hotel offers a shuttle bus to/from the airport at set times during the day. That is well worth it- our flight was late and a taxi cost us 43 Euros one-way!
Whilst the location is some distance from the sights of Venice it is right beside a Railway station that offers cheap trains into the heart of the city (tickets are only 5.70 Euros and can be bought from the hotel front desk; trains are at least one every hour).
I am a Priority Club Platinum member and was upgraded upon arrival to a Club Room. The room was spacious. There was free wifi in the hotel, though its speed was generally very slow. The bed was very comfortable- my wife and I slept well each night. There was litle noise to disturb us.

Breakfast was included and was buffet style. We did return from sightseeing each night to have dinner in the hotel. The restaurant was nothing special, but reasonably priced. You are short of alternative dining in the area- which is largely residential- but then again you can also choose to dine in Vevice proper.

Room Tip: Ask for one facing away from the Railway Station- our room looked out onto a car park area. Very qui...

We (family of four with 2 children) stayed for 2 nights in this hotel. The room was undoubtedly spacious considering the Italian standard. Same goes for the bathroom as well. Also both seem to be refurbished recently. In addition to the king bed, we had a sofa bed in the room as well as another rollaway - so we had a very good sleep. Breakfast was good!
Considering the price, it is a very good option to stay off Venice. We could reach Venice in 25 minutes and trains are running every 30 minutes or so. In between the journey (probably 15 mins from Quarto D'Altino), there is a nice shopping center called Vale Center which we also found quite good.
After Venice, we also stayed in Crowne Plaza St. Peter's at Rome but we found this hotel much better than Rome!

Room Tip: Choose the Family room with Sofa bed to have more space!

We stayed in this hotel for 3 days on the 7th May. The hotel and staff are lovely. They upgraded us to the Deluxe suite on arrival as it was our anniversary. I would highly recommend this hotel. Venice is 20min train ride way but once you plan your day around the train times your fine.

We returned to this hotel, about 25 min train ride from Venice, because of the large comfortable rooms with great king-size beds, close proximity to the train (a five-minute walk away), friendly and helpful staff, and excellent breakfast (€9) and dinner (€29) buffets--both include a wide array of attractive and tasty options. This is a great value for the money. There is alos free wi-fi andairport shuttle!
