Hotel San Andres II
Certificate of Excellence
Reviewed 17 June 2014

The Hotel San Andres is a very easy place to stay right in the center of Jerez de la Frontera. It sits two minutes walk from the main streets and very close to the market place. It is a low budget option with very clean rooms and great staff. The staff actually made the stay, they could not have been more helpful and polite (they do not speak English however but will try their best to help you out!) Note that breakfast is not included in the price of the stay but the cost for two people sharing is extremely reasonable and there are many plazas only minutes walk away which will cater for breakfast needs.
I will be back in this hotel again, I have already used San Andres twice on two overnight visits to Jerez, a really easy place to stay in a really great location.

Room Tip: At San Andres there is no parking so if you are in a vehicle you will need to use one of the public...

Noisey hotel. The place is old but clean. Smokers were a problem again.

The bed was disgusting. Why do hotels cover the mattress with plastic. Also, the mattress was worn out and sagged in the middle.

Parking is a nightmare.

Very cheap but would not stay again.

Room Tip: Do not get a room facing the street.

We have stayed here several times and for sure we would go back. The hotel is old style Andalucia with beautiful tile work everywhere and marble floors. Clean quiet and comfortable, it's not the Ritz with small rooms, if you eat cream cakes you might not fit. The WiFi is much better than the usual 4 star hotel and the Dueño couldn't be more helpful, letting us store anything we wanted in the hotel refrigerators. Location is good, just a few minutes walk to cafés and the central plaza and market. If you want to experience the real Andalucia and you're on a budget San Andres is well worth considering.

Room Tip: It's a 15 minute walk from the train, take a taxi if you have too much luggage.

Relatively easy to find. Room was clean. Staff were very nice and helpful. Hotel seemed pretty empty when we were there as did all of jerez to be honest. I would recommend to folk just looking for a simple bed in an air conditioned room. It ticks the box. We would stay there again if we went to jerez.

I have stayed in this hotel on many occasiions, and always use it, when I am on a budget. Situated in walking distance from most things thats going on in Jerez. In this quiet hotel you get the basics: a bed to sleep in, your own bathroom, wifi and a friendly and helpful manager.
The rooms are very clean and you have TV. No breakfast but that you can get around the corner from 6.30. You can also buy a beer and soft drinks in the reception.
Parking wise the hotel is situated in the strict blue zone. But the manager can tell you where to park your car 10 minutes walk from the hotel, where there are no parking restrictions.
I recommend rooms on the top floor, which is more quiet in the morning, when other guest get up.
You are certainly getting a good deal in Hotel San Andres.

Room Tip: Upper floor quieter in the morning

We found this hotel in the Rough Guide and could not have been happier.
The mamnager, Pepe, is very friendly, welcoming and helpful. My single room was very clean with its own small but more than adequate, bathroom.
The Hotel has all the basic requirements in that it is very clean and very secure.
We chose to use our car but with a bit of effort could have gone on foot to the centre of the city.
I recommend this hotel very highly.

This is a delightful and attractive hotel, centrally placed in an interesting and historic city. There are plenty of cafes and restaurants close at hand and the hotel makes a good base to explore Jerez. We found the staff helpful and polite. A very little Spanish goes a very long way, and is only courteous, after all. The rooms are clean, comfortable and quiet. We spent just the one night but would readily go back.
