The guide hardly spoke English so even if she knew something interesting to tell she just couldn't (at some moment I wasn't even sure if she really worked there).
We payed 10 euros each to get 1 glass of their cheapest dry wine (fino) + 1 glass of another one (sorry I forgot its name the minute we left) + 1/4 glass of their 30 year old Pedro Ximenez.
And they didn't even bother to serve the first two wines - the girl just put the bottles on the table and left for like 25 minutes.
As for the shop there're only two versions of each wine: the cheapest and a 30 year-old one.
If you've been to Porto and visit this place you really risk to get disappointed.

My wife and I toured the Bodegas and the Aromas that emanated from those barrels was phenomenal. The tour guide was very knowledgeable about the Brand and answered everyone's question. Bring a good camera and ake all the pictures you want. The last part was my favorite the hospitality courtyard you get to taste all the brands hmmmm watch out for the Ice cold Harvey Bristols Cream it is super smooth and will sneak up on you.

Over all a very enjoyable day tour for those who wish to learn about the first sherry made in Jerez.

Our moderator, Virginia, did an outstanding job detailing sherry and brandy making and some of the history of the Domecq operation. The trip was well worth the time. The tour was about 1 hour and we concluded with a tasting of 2 sherries and 2 brandies...well worth the 8 euro cost. Suggest you go on the tour in the late morning so the tasting precedes your lunch in the Jerez square.

It made for a very nice day at the winery and in the plaza for lunch.

Good tour, but no tapas at the end. I'd recommend that if you have time, take more than one Bodegas tour.

Nice bodega, reasonable price, they take you around the place, which looks great, and then leave you with several bottles of sherry, not too shabby...
