Reviewed 24 August 2013

We stayed for two nights at this hotel in Jerez in August.

The entrance lobby is quite impressive and you really expect the 5 stars to shine up elsewhere, however the hotel needs some refurbishment and renewing.

Our standard room was large enough with comfy beds and included a small terrace to sit outside, something we might have done if August heat had been a little more kind to us in Jerez. Everything is correct (maybe toilet somewhat cramped) but again, the hotel definitely feels more 4 stars than 5.

Swimming pool is alright and the underground parking is rather small but still does the job (12€/day). We did not have any meals at the hotel so these cannot be rated (which gave us a chance to discover some good places to eat and one or two gems as you may seem from some of my other reviews in Jerez!)

Location is a plus point, because the hotel is just steps away from some main bodegas and the Equestrian school if the reason for your visit to Jerez are wines and horses. Old quarter, city centre and most attractions are just 5-10 mins away and the price was competitive for this time of the year (just under 60€/night).

All in all, good convenient 4 stars hotel and good location.

Room Tip: Our room on the ground floor had a small terrace partly secluded by trees and plants and lowers to c...

Hotel is 1st class and in an area close to the famous Spanish riding school. Staff in reception extremely polite and helpful as in the breakfast room. The accommodation is across a garden area which is very well kept, to excellent rooms very clean and comfortable, there is access to a small swimming pool and bar behind the accommodation block. For Cadiz, take the ferry from Puerta Santa Maria, 20 minutes across the bay of Cadiz and see the old town in particular.

Room Tip: We were lucky and were upgraded to a Suite, but the superior room we had booked was equally comforta...

Hotel was great they fitted us in last minute, rooms were lovely, only a short walk to the centre. They have us a great tour to join and recommended a nice restaurant. We enjoyed our stay at Jerez, it's a small intimate hotel, and the staff gave us lots of tips. Definitely the place to stay in Jerez!

We stayed in this hotel for 1 night. Had booked an executive room, 50 sq.meter. It was a good deal because we only payed 50 euro for the room. On booking.com they say it's a 5 star hotel. But for us it's more a 3 star hotel. Indeed we had a spacious room with a huge bathroom but this bathroom looked old and needs maintenance. We liked the pool area very much. Most of the staff only speak spanish and no english. So we had some confusion when we ordered roomservice. It's a short distance to the city center. You can walk to the center in 10 minutes. They have a parking under the hotel but you have to pay for it. About Jerez, we were there on a sunday evening and it was almost empty in the center and many restaurants were closed. We asked at the reception what could be the reason for that. They told it is always like that on sunday. So better to go another night.

We stayed in this hotel for a few days at the beginning of April. During the first night the room became very hot as the air conditioning was not working. I was told that they do not turn it on outside high season. For the same reason the rastaurant was closed for dinner and the swimming pool was not in use. There is no wi-fi in any of the rooms. To use it you need to go to the reception area in the other building. The hotel is on the other side of town from the train and bus station, which makes a long walk if you want to travel outside Jerez. This hotel calls itself 5 star hotel. I would rate it 3 stars at best. Although the room was clean, overall I was very disappointed with this hotel.

This was a fantastic 5 star hotel ideally situated within easy walking distance of the Royal Equestrian Centre, the Sandeman Port & Sherry Brewery and the centre of Jerez. It is built in large grounds and has its own parking facilities. The hotel is very clean and well decorated for such a big place.Well worth a vist.

the hotel is located in a former bodega, with a small garden and in summer swimmingpool.
the rooms are big with shower and bath, minibar and with space for extra bed to the kid without any problems. breakfast is good (especially when comparing to other spanish hotels) and the hotel employees nice and good advisors.
really a place to stay when in jerez, location perfect, walking distance to everything!

Room Tip: chose a room on ground floor for small terrace or 1/2 floor for french balcony
