Owner description: The Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art Foundation, in Jerez de la Frontera, is famous all over the world for its show called "How the Andalusian Horses Dance", a unique exhibition of horsemanship which both exhibits and summarises the work which the institution has carried out since its establishment. Although the show "How the Andalusian Horses Dance" may be considered the highest attainment of the School's work, there are other aspects which are regarded as equally, or even more important, for the Institution. Among these, we would like to highlight its role as a social and cultural vehicle for our equestrian heritage, the selection and promotion of horses, the training of Haute Ecole riders, the preservation and promotion of Classical and Country Dressage (Doma Vaquera), maintaining the prestige of our horsemanship, the breed of our Spanish horses, our traditions and culture. Furthermore, the show enables the Royal School to play host for the Province of Cadiz and to act as ambassadors abroad on annual tours to various foreign countries. In addition to the show, you might enjoy a visit to our training facilities as well as the Museum of Equestrian Art and the Carriage Museum.

A wonderful display in a lovely setting. The limited commentary was clear and precise. The riders and horses were superb. No cameras allowed. An hour and a half flew by with a 15 minute break In between. We sat in the front row was was excellent but viewing would be good from anywhere in the arena.

This was the second time I had visited this Ecuestrian Centre and I wasn't disappointed. The training that must be involved to get the horses to the standard shown must be immense. I like the fact that you can go behind the school to watch the horses being put through their paces but you need to get there early. The seats are arranged so that nobody misses anything. The parking is not easy, the local streets being used. Our hotel was just a short walk away. All in all a very good and interesting couple of hours.

We visited on a training day so did not go to the show. I enjoyed this much more than expected. It was great to be able to into the indoor arena and sit and watch the horses and their riders being trained. We also had a guided tour of the stables which was very informative.

An amazing hour show displaying the perfected skills of highly trained specially bred horses faultlessly going through dancing and jumping routines, including balancing on their hind legs for lengthy periods. No photographs allowed. Everyone was impressed watching the unique spectacle of up to 8 muscular yet elegant horses undergoing intricate manoeuvres and formations displaying great skills and grace. I would have welcomed either headsets or announcements in English in order to gain the best understanding of the different routines. Recommended.

The show is amazing although I am a little concerned that horses are made to do things that seem somewhat unnatural.
