I have stayed at the Hotel eight nights from the end for February to the beginning of March. It’s a relatively good hotel. However I had some disturbance by some vehicles noise as well as some bad guest behaviours.
The reception staffs were very friendly and helpful, which I have asked to change my room few times before settling down. Although my request was a strictly non-smoking room, I have been allocated a room which was very stinky of smoking. Even though I have looked into few other rooms, most them were smell of smoking. There were no other choice, thus I picked one room by Rafaela Maria where there was Pay parking bay. It seems to be the room has double grazing, but I have some problem with the traffic noise, sometime it started around 7:30 to mid night.
The location of Hotel is very good, and it stands the corner of Plaza de las Angustinas where is the hub of local bus stop, as well as Pay parking bay. It’s walking distance to most of historical centre, shops and bars, and only 15 minutes to both Renfe train station and a long distance bus station. Thus, if you chose the room faces to this Plaza, you probably will have a good view and a traffic noise too.
The room has only basic facility, luck of wardrobe space for long stayer, an air-conditioned work properly, no additional pillows and blankets were available at the room and TV has only 16 channels and remote-controller does not work properly, and it’s not the satellite system. There is only an indirect lighting system (no ceiling lighting) which I felt very dark in the room at evening. Plenty of hot water was available but the power of shower was not good and the shower hook sat up to the high position. This was too high to me such as a small person (5.2 f).
Breakfast is an average standard and nothing special. It seems to me that the breakfast room is very small compare with the numbers of gusts (number of guest rooms). There were mixed of hot and cold dishes, but most of scramble eggs has gone quickly and I felt that is a first come and first services. Maybe my breakfast timing was not good. Coffee machine and sugary added a fruit juice were not my tastes. Fresh baked rolls and pastries were very nice. I also was fed up with being asked my room number every single mooring (eight days) by one of waitress, it is luck of professionalism.
Wi fi is only available at a common area (mainly at reception area) and it’s not at a guest room (might be you can get it for extra fee at your room), there is a PC at reception area and it charge you 1 euro for 20 minutes, and very slow.
Addition to, I saw few minors without accompany by Adults in this hotel, they were occasionally running around the hotel after 11 o’clock in the evening, and grabbed the pastries from the breakfaster counter unhygienically by hand. Somehow, the Hotel will lose a reputation, if the hotel continuously to allow staying those guests.
