This was the other half of the Roman Theatre property. It is well worth the visit. I would like to go back for a performance.

Together with the Teatro Romano, a must-see in Mérida. If possible, I would recommend taking the guided tour. The guides are superb and make the visit a very enjoyable experience.

the amphitheater is large and well preserved/restored in places. It is adjacent to the theater and offers you a view of how substantial Merida was in Roman times. Well worth the trip to see.

Inner part is well preseved and the auditorium is definitely getting one "back" into those times, two thousands years ago. Outer walls are on the contraire - completely missing.
