We only stayed for one night during August on our journey through the Pyrenees. My husband liked the hotel with its ski lodge appeal in the rooms. We were on the top floor, which meant we had only sky light’s not proper windows. They had blinds that had to be secured by a piece of wire and they were full of holes so the light came in anyway. The walls were panelled and the room actually had a sofa bed which had been made up and two single beds which we used, as you couldn’t actually get in the sofa bed as it was in an alcove so you had to crawl in the bottom, which at my age is getting more difficult.
We didn’t eat in the restaurant as they didn’t seem to have anything for vegetarians but that could have been our lack of understanding the menu. Although we did have a lovely snack in the bar attached to the hotel. The hotel is only a short walk up into the centre of the town and we were lucky to stumble across a medieval festival in the town.
Parking may be a problem as there appears to be only street parking, although we had no problem getting a space. If you did, then there is a car park that’s free at the end of the road, which is only a short walk away. The pool is tucked at the back of the hotel and is very small, but nice for a dip in the hot weather.
The breakfast was fine and good value compared to other hotels we stayed at.
