We have just returned from Lindos Blu, having had the best time there. The Hotel and staff are excellent as stated in all the other reviews and I will mention a few of the best points later. I thought to add value, I'd address a couple of niggles just to balance a (virtually) 100% positive review.
Not all rooms, balconies, pools get sun all day, the hotel is North facing so that is going to happen. However, the main pool area and the secondary pool both have sun traps if you want them and the hotel beach has all day sun.
For those of us who like a drink with our sun worship, the poolside bar closing at 6PM due to its proximity to the dining area was a bit of a minus, especially as this area gets the last of the sun and it is nice to watch the last rays over the bay with a long drink. There is a cocktail bar but we found the constant Fashion TV and choice of music a little too "clean" for our tastes (or are we getting older....)
The sound of the air-con and fridge in the room could make getting to sleep a little hard, but then sleeping in the heat without air-con and warm drinks would be more unacceptable!

Right, having spent the best part of two weeks prying out the minor issues above let me now take you through just a few of the features of Lindos Blu that you will notice within a day!

The whole Hotel ethos from the building through the staff and their attitudes to customers is probably the best we have ever come across. We visited at the back end of the season but everything was pristine and the staff always had smiles on their faces and made a point of engaging with you, if you wanted too. This was not just the "front of house" staff but everyone, the maids, the pool man, even the maintenance guys always had a smile for you. Everyone seemed to genuinely like their job.
The food in the main buffet restaurant, in fact the whole experience including service is the best we have found. After ten days they had not repeated themselves on the evening meal menu and the selections of hot and cold salads are a meal in themselves. As an example, on the last night their I was able to select a herbed, chicken leg, beef in tomato, Greek salad, lamb with asparagus, all before a main course of duck. Each day there are too many hot and cold dishes to count let alone eat, all excellent, and the same is true of breakfast and luch also. At least we think so, we only saw lunch from afar as, after a late-ish breakfast we didn't eat again until the evening meal at 8PM.
Suffice to say we have always been B&B hotel board people preferring to check local restaurants than be tied to one place. Not at Lindos Blu, when we return it will probably be half-board (and there are plenty of good restaurants in Lindos).

Room Tip: The superior rooms with jacuzzi on the balcony are excellent in facilities and get one of the best v...

I had high hope of Lindos Blu given the reviews I had seen on Tripadvisor, and we were not disappointed. Set in the perfect location with perfect views, the quality of the hotel, and all of the staff make it a fabulous experience - a true 5*!

We were met with complimentary bubbly and given a personal tour of the hotel, its' facilities and our room. The rooms (we had a junior suite to begin with) are very slick and well presented, the cleanliness is second to none and the room service and complimentary food and wine are delicious.

As a party of 2 couples, we had asked for 2 junior suites near each other, on arrival, as the hotel could not put us side by side (but merely above and below each other - no great problem for us!), they offered us a complimentary upgrade partway through our week to a luxury 2 bedroomed maisonette with its' own infinity pool....amazing! The staff also moved our things so it was completely trouble free.

I always ask myself if I would return to a destination and hotel, and as this is one of many to visits to Lindos for our party, the first part is easy - of course we'll return to Lindos! Would we return to Lindos Blu...every time!

Being an adult only hotel makes it even more relaxing and peaceful, however there is plenty to do so you will not be bored.

A final mention to the staff, they have clearly been handpicked for their level of professionalism and courtesy. Every single member of staff made us feel important and welcome at the hotel, they remembered our preferences and were consistently meticulous and alert to the smallest detail.

An exceptional hotel.

My wife and I spent our honeymoon at this wonderful hotel for 2 weeks in August / September 2012. Without hesitation, this is the best hotel we have ever stayed in and we have travelled to numerous places across the world. On arrival we were treated to a complimentary glass of champagne and our room had been covered in rose petals which was a nice touch. We booked half board and ate in the hotel every night and I can safely say it was fantastic every night, along with the excellent quality of the service.
All of the staff from the cleaners, bar / restaurant staff, reception staff and porters were absolutely brilliant and could not do enough for you, this made our stay even more enjoyable. I have to give a special mention to Savas and Eva in the upstairs bar, they were excellent and my wife kept Savas busy experimenting many of his superb cocktails throughout our stay!!
We normally go to different places every year, but we are planning on going back to this fabulous hotel at some point next year. All in all, we had a fantastic honeymoon, thanks to a wonderful hotel with excellent staff and superb food.
If you are thinking about staying at this hotel, do not hesitate, just get it booked...

We've travelled extensively and this is the best hotel we've ever stayed in. Everything is spot on and we enjoyed a fabulously relaxing week after a stressful summer. The hotel is stunning, very welcoming and with a relaxed atmoshphere created by the wonderful staff - every single staff member was polite, helpful and seemed to smile all the time - nothing beats that! Why can't it be like that everywhere?

The rooms are very well designed - a good size, light and airy, well furnished and with fab sea views - especially liked the large window in the bathroom providing sea views at all times (although you could pull down a blind if you wanted more privacy!).

The food was varied and excellent, with impeccable service.

The pool area was good, but we loved the beach. We never had trouble finding a lounger at any time of day, removing the need for the dreaded early morning scramble to secure your spot! It was sheer bliss to lie reading with the sea lapping round us, with enough space between you and your neighbours to not feel on top of each other. Also enjoyed swimming in the sea, but nothing to see whilst snorkelling!

Loved going into Lindos for meals in the evening. We enjoy walking, but the road is a main road with no footpath and looked very unpleasant to walk, so we relied on taxis - the service is very quick, but watch out for the 'I don't have any change' trick they pull or you'll be paying way over the top. My partner refused to get out of the taxi until the driver found some!

This is a fantastic hotel - we enjoyed the most perfect relaxing week, with the added interest of Lindos nearby. Although we love exploring new places we'll definitely be back at some point.

Just returned last week from our third visit to this amazing retreat. All you need to do is look through the other reviews to see how top notch this exquisite hotel is. We might have gone on holiday with a hint of intrepidation given that it's a return visit......How can an establishment get everything right year after year!!! Well, honestly, there's no need to fear. Everything just so, and this year we were greeted in all parts of the hotel by staff who knew our name. Such attention to detail goes such a long way to making you feel special and pampered. The room was perfect - newly decorated, spotlessly clean....even though we were staying in August nearing the end of the season, no scuffs on white walls like you sometimes see in other so called 5-star places. It's as though you are the first one welcomed into that room and it's been specially prepared for you. Full clean every day, and fresh towels twice a day. (Sorry environmentalists!).
Dining in the hotel is a treat, whichever restaurant you choose at whatever time of day. Breakfast is a slick but relaxed affair, with so much to choose from. Lunch at the pool restaurant is a welcome breather in the shade if you wish, where the service is impeccable and the menu delivers just the right level of choice from healthy fresh salads, through to refined pasta dishes or snackier options. Dinner in the 5 senses fine dining restaurant is a total treat. The new "meze" style plates (think Maize in London), are an explosion of flavour, and the celebrated "Lobster Night" is an opportunity to glam up a bit and enjoy a tasting menu full of delicious surprises. The setting is romantic and stylish, the service is attentive but discreet. Dinner in the a la carte Smeralda restaurant was a first for us this year and was a great option if you fancy an evening away from the hub of Lindos village / town.
Which brings me onto Lindos itself. Still stunning...twinkly candlelit rooftop restaurants serving delicious food. The local specialities are to die for - lamb, slow cooked rabbit, amazingly fresh fish. All superb, all well priced. It's a nice contrast to the elegant service in the hotel (where you never touch a bottle to pour your own water or wine), to be in a taverna style restaurant with a carafe of local wine on the table fending for yourself!!! And then it's back to the supremely stylish cocktail bar, overlooking Vlicha Bay, under the stars. Yet more attentive service and a new cocktail menu encompassing some spicy / herby twists (apparantly the direction cocktails are going in due to China and India's new found fascination with cocktails). Of course all the traditional cocktails available too!!
So all in all...so good we've booked for next year!!! Again!! Already!!! I know to some readers you will think it makes us sound like "stick in the muds", but I would say try it for yourself and then you decide. So many repeat customers in the hotel this year...we can't all be wrong! Thank you to all at Lindos Blu. We will see you next year xxx
