Perfect location, and this is a big deal in Lindos! The intense heat in July and draining walks up and down make the position of Kyriakos Studios excellent. Also,if you have car hire, there is a large free car park 2 mins away.Access to the beautiful St Pauls bay and the lovely town are instant/ish...even thats tiring in the heat! If you like a local feel, its great to sit with the locals, while their kids play on the square in the evening, at the Melia Cafe Bar,just 20 metres from the studios. On the downside...You knew it was coming!...We stayed in room 5,which i called the Wendy House. The bedroom is a mezzanine floor, with a low beamed ceiling with 2 mattresses under the air con.The bathroom is a wet room. There were 2 wooden chairs to sit on-nowhere to relax. On the upside,it made us go out all the time instead of being tempted to slobber around in the evening. We got used to it pretty quick tho. Most people in the fancy accommodation had a horrendous hike back in the blazing heat-and had to do the same in the evening.Glamour or convienience and ease, take your pick.We soon realized this .So, Kyriakos Studios----The maid kept everything spotless, the kitchen and bathroom fittings are new,any staff we talked to were very nice,in fact, all the greeks in Lindos are so nice,a great vibe.Nowhere is perfect.Fact is;if you want to go to St Pauls bay and the amazing town every day, choose these studios...or get a private chauffer,as its truly exhausting in the July heat.If you have not been to Lindos before, heed my advice unless super-fit.

This is our first complaint to be made in Lindos but we want to warn others of our plight and hopefully save you from the same ordeal!

We have been travelling to Lindos for 20 years and have stayed in various self catering studios around the village including St Paul's Bay. We are no strangers to basic as we use the property as a village base only but air conditioning is paramount when selecting a place to stay which Kyriakos advertises.

We knew of the Kyriakos' location as we stayed next door last year so knew there would be some sort of noise..... Noise was an understatement...... It was horrific !!! We were allocated room 8 which opened out onto the road and had the use of a shared terrace above us. The location was Ideal and a lovely view of the acropolis and amphitheatre but this is where it all ends.......

The bedroom door opened immediately onto the road so you had the full force of the noise coming through the room plus there were no shutters on the windows to buffer the noise either.... The cars, motorbikes and refuse lorries were all directly outside the bedroom door and I know it's no fault of the studios but the inconsiderate people in the room above moving their furniture around at 03.30-4.00 am each morning was terrible.... The noise resembled the loudest thunderstorm claps imaginable......

The room itself was very spacious but after 9 days I still had the cigarette burned sheet on my bed and towels changed just once..... The bathroom stank due to lack of ventilation.

We asked for the air conditioning to be switched on when we arrived which our travel company arranged -however it was like walking from the heat outside into a sauna..... The air conditioning was controlled by the electrics which only came on with entry into the studios so we accepted this reason for a bit of heat plus there was a big hot water heater tank in the bathroom which we believed contributed to the heat of the room......

In the early hours of the morning we woke up breathless with the heat and thought we had perhaps had the settings wrong..... After day 2 we were still boiling hot and complained about the heat to the maid as we had paid €100 for what we believed to be a faulty unit. The maid said she would get it fixed for us..... We came back early evening to find the unit had been selotaped as the swing feature (vent that circulates the air) wasn't working.... We gave them the benefit of the doubt as although it was roasting hot in the room there was a noticeable difference between outside and inside after 10 hours of the unit being on..... NOT INSTANTLY like everywhere else where we have stayed.......

We were naturally agitated with no sleep and after 8 nights of hell and getting more annoyed with us knowing we had been robbed of air conditioning we went to see our resort representative who promised to look into the situation. When we got back to our room the owner had supplied us with a fan which was cooler but in our eyes confirmed there was a fault with the unit.... The company we booked through came out to see us and agreed that there was a problem and contacted the owner of the property...... We were kept updated by our representative and on day 9 confirmed that the unit was faulty and was going to be replaced 2 to 3 days before we we were due to travel home..... They offered us a €50 refund and said they would switch the unit off ........ The red mist descended as although it was obviously not working, there was a slight breeze from it.....we could not believe that they were still charging us for something they confirmed was broke but were switching it off! We demanded a full refund or be moved as we didn't have what we paid for.... The owners attitude was absolutely disgusting; she left us a note to say they had fixed it but would get it checked again..... When our rep went back to the owner with our suggestions on how we could relieve the situation they would not budge. They refused any refund and said the machine would be disconnected as they were giving us €50 back which equated to the 2nd week of our stay without air conditioning which wasn't a refund at all...

Whilst some people may not pay for the air conditioning, please be aware...... You won't be able to open the window as it opens onto the street that people can look in and worst of all, you will be prone to the possibility of the stray cats coming in which scavenge around the village bin depot which is directly opposite the apartments.

We were lucky to have travelled with an outstanding company who went the extra mile in giving us another property with air conditioning which exceeded all our expectations. They saved our holiday from disaster and it wasn't Cosmos who we travelled with. Their clients appeared to be given the better rooms away from the road - 8,9 & 10.

If you are in room 8 and reading this, a new air conditioning unit was apparently being installed on Monday 14th July...... We got the feeling that they want to line their pockets and not provide the clients with the services they advertise......

We definitely will not be returning to Kyriakos any time in the future!

Room Tip: Avoid rooms 8 & 9..... exceptionally NOISY.... And VERY VERY HOT..... Owner reckons it's...

At 6 3 I was unable to stand upright in the bedroom unless I wanted to bang my head onthe ceiling beams. There was no bed just a mattress on the floor!!Had to wait a day to get the aircon switched on. Asked to use the room past midday checkout due to late flight home was refused and my baggage and possessions were left outside the room. When i got home i discovered we were missing a considerable number of toiletries and a pair of sandals. The owner and maid were very rude. Don't bother!!!

Just returned from another trip to Lindos. Having stayed in 5 star hotels and in the village, village life wins hands down. It was with some fear that we arrived, having read such mixed reviews. If you want a synthetic high end accommodation, go pay over the odds and stay in big hotels that actually aren`t even in Lindos ( plus you`ll be paying for a taxi every night to eat in the many brilliant restaurants). Kyriakos are situated just up from the road leading down to St Paul`s Bay but within easy reach of Pallas and the main beach. You are right opposite the Amphitheatre. We stayed in room 9 and watching the kids of the village play while enjoying a sundowner on the terrace was a great way to end a lazy day before heading out for the evening. Yes there is noise that starts early in the morning but why would you want to lie in when there`s a bakery tempting you to a pastry and coffee for breakfast? The rooms are basic but hey you only use it for a base. You really only need a bed, a shower/bath and somewhere to make a brew. This place has all these and is clean. Would I stay there again? Most definitely.

We stayed here for the week 21st May-28th May 14, myself & husband in room 8 and our friends in room 9. The only problem we had with noise was the first morning (Thurs) starting about 5.30/6, where the delivery vans & cars dropped their goods off for the shops, bars & restaurants, and to be fair there's only really 2 drop off points in Lindos for that to happen (the top & the bottom of the village) and unfortunately the Kyriakos apartments are near the top one, but honestly all the other days we heard nothing till around 7.45/8ish when we were getting up anyway. The apartments were really basic but a good size and had all you needed in them for a self catering apartment. The lovely Melinda cleaned and changed the bedding as needed so was really happy with that. Beds we're comfy and had clean towels twice awk. The only real 2 downsides we had was that we thought A/C was included in the price & didn't know till we got there that it wasn't (50 euros for the wk) and as it was late ish (around 10) when we arrived we couldn't turn it on till next morning, very warm :( the other was it cost another 50 euros to keep a room on as we weren't being picked up till 5pm and had to be out of our room by midday, thought that was very over priced. All in all as we have stayed in Lindos before and got more for our money elsewhere I wouldn't stay here again UNTILL the prices were dropped on the added-on items mentioned above, which is a shame as it's a really nice place :/

Room Tip: Rooms 2,4 & 5 not to near road but smaller than 8 & 9.

Stayed in room 9 from 9th October for 1 week. It's definitely noisy, even off peak. The room is street level on the main access road to the lower end of the village so delivery trucks and bin men from 4 am onwards.
It's a big room, so cool and spacious enough but if you want to open the curtains on the one window be prepared for passing pedestrians to have a look in. There's a door to the street too, but why would you want to leave that open; the cats would wander in.
On a positive note, it's a great location, really close to the little St Paul's bay and 2 minutes from the town centre, but if I'm honest it's just too basic for me.
The shower room really needs upgraded, if it's been modernised since the early 80's I'd be surprised. The self catering aspect/ I'd say don't bother. The kettle works but the basic cheap toaster and camp hob don't really support making a meal. In addition to that there was a ridiculously silly assortment of mismatched plates (side only) glasses (2 different size tumblers) bowls and mugs and even less cutlery.
Worst of all: COSMOS! Didn't see the rep the whole time.....what do these guys get paid for?
In summary: if basic is your thing; you'll probably be ok. It's not for me.

Room Tip: Not number 9

Just back from this small apartment complex, booked through Cosmos. My wife and I stayed in room 9, which we were told by other holiday makers who'd been before, is the biggest in the complex. It's on the street; one of the only ones that cars can use to get into the town so there's a bit of traffic, deliveries, bin trucks etc. and there was quite a bit of noise and we had to keep the curtains closed, which was a pest, but did not spoil the holiday. Basic accommodation not sure how to compare with others in the town however location is perfect.
It's not really self catering as the provision of kitchen equipment and utensils is really basic (we had to buy glasses as the two we were provided with were ridiculous; one huge and one tiny wee tumbler). However you do have a kettle and fridge and the maid is very helpful as she did try to find us a couple of wine glasses. The room was, it should be said, spotlessly clean and the beds pretty comfortable. You also have access to a roof top terrace which is shared with next door, again very basic plastic chairs that don't match but the view of the acropolis is incredible.
I'd have loved to have seen some of the newer rooms, the ones we seen were pretty dated, but to be honest, you're so close to the beach and the centre of Lindos that it's a great option if you don't mind very basic and simple accommodation.
Very disappointed in Cosmos. We were dumped at the top of the hill outside Lindos by a bus driver who couldn't give us directions, who apparently should have sent us to a taverna where our luggage would have been transferred and directions given. As it's the end of the season I don't think the Reps were particularly bothered and certainly I didn't feel very valued as a customer. I also had to phone them (on the emergency contact number) for pick up details on the last night as nothing had been communicated.......again end of season might be the reason, but it's not an excuse for poor customer service.
Lindos is beautiful, we'll definitely go back, but we'll look for accommodation that's not on the street and if we can get that at Kyriakos I'd say we would go back there to stay too.

Room Tip: One of the newer ones, rooms 13, 14, 15, 16 seemed better and had balconies too.
