On arriving at 12,40 am we found a piece of paper stuck to a board outside our apartments with our name on a nd the room number!because it was so dark we couldn,t see the numbers on the doors and there was no-one around to help.eventually we dragged our cases up 2 flights to find the key in the door!.our first impression wasn,t good as it was dark and drab.Minimal equipment and couldn,t even get the adapters in the sockets .The shower head had to be propped up with the window latch but the hot water was great! The next morning we established the owner lived in the complex which comprised of 18 rooms set round a courtyard of orange and grape trees.Although he couldn,t speak English we managed to pay him 35 euros for the air conditioning which promptly blew a fuse resulting in no electricity!Soon mended but we were careful to only use it through the night. The rooms were cleaned every day by the owner and regardless were very clean.I personally wouldn,t stay here again and what I have seen there are better rooms available. The main square was literally on the doorstep and a great bar across the road.On booking the advert said we could use the pool across the road but got charged 6 euros! It,s well worth paying a little more for nicer rooms and we found there were plenty within the main area.Kassiopi is a great place with the most friendly people who are behond helpful and genuine.Well worth renting a quad or beach buggy from the rental just above the crossroads opposite a lane.We got him down to 35 euro and didn,t even use 10 euro,s worth of fuel to visit Rhoda and Sidari. The beaches are pebbly but walk to the right when facing the sea at the harbour to find the most amazing coves.WE had a cooked engish breakfast every morning at Jasmines cafe/bar for 4.50 euro with orange juice .Real bacon and sausage! In fact EVERY meal was great but try the Italian on the little road leading to the beach called Little Italy.Fantastic!

Room Tip: The top floor rooms were more private .

Perfect location, and this is a big deal in Lindos! The intense heat in July and draining walks up and down make the position of Kyriakos Studios excellent. Also,if you have car hire, there is a large free car park 2 mins away.Access to the beautiful St Pauls bay and the lovely town are instant/ish...even thats tiring in the heat! If you like a local feel, its great to sit with the locals, while their kids play on the square in the evening, at the Melia Cafe Bar,just 20 metres from the studios. On the downside...You knew it was coming!...We stayed in room 5,which i called the Wendy House. The bedroom is a mezzanine floor, with a low beamed ceiling with 2 mattresses under the air con.The bathroom is a wet room. There were 2 wooden chairs to sit on-nowhere to relax. On the upside,it made us go out all the time instead of being tempted to slobber around in the evening. We got used to it pretty quick tho. Most people in the fancy accommodation had a horrendous hike back in the blazing heat-and had to do the same in the evening.Glamour or convienience and ease, take your pick.We soon realized this .So, Kyriakos Studios----The maid kept everything spotless, the kitchen and bathroom fittings are new,any staff we talked to were very nice,in fact, all the greeks in Lindos are so nice,a great vibe.Nowhere is perfect.Fact is;if you want to go to St Pauls bay and the amazing town every day, choose these studios...or get a private chauffer,as its truly exhausting in the July heat.If you have not been to Lindos before, heed my advice unless super-fit.

This is our first complaint to be made in Lindos but we want to warn others of our plight and hopefully save you from the same ordeal!

We have been travelling to Lindos for 20 years and have stayed in various self catering studios around the village including St Paul's Bay. We are no strangers to basic as we use the property as a village base only but air conditioning is paramount when selecting a place to stay which Kyriakos advertises.

We knew of the Kyriakos' location as we stayed next door last year so knew there would be some sort of noise..... Noise was an understatement...... It was horrific !!! We were allocated room 8 which opened out onto the road and had the use of a shared terrace above us. The location was Ideal and a lovely view of the acropolis and amphitheatre but this is where it all ends.......

The bedroom door opened immediately onto the road so you had the full force of the noise coming through the room plus there were no shutters on the windows to buffer the noise either.... The cars, motorbikes and refuse lorries were all directly outside the bedroom door and I know it's no fault of the studios but the inconsiderate people in the room above moving their furniture around at 03.30-4.00 am each morning was terrible.... The noise resembled the loudest thunderstorm claps imaginable......

The room itself was very spacious but after 9 days I still had the cigarette burned sheet on my bed and towels changed just once..... The bathroom stank due to lack of ventilation.

We asked for the air conditioning to be switched on when we arrived which our travel company arranged -however it was like walking from the heat outside into a sauna..... The air conditioning was controlled by the electrics which only came on with entry into the studios so we accepted this reason for a bit of heat plus there was a big hot water heater tank in the bathroom which we believed contributed to the heat of the room......

In the early hours of the morning we woke up breathless with the heat and thought we had perhaps had the settings wrong..... After day 2 we were still boiling hot and complained about the heat to the maid as we had paid €100 for what we believed to be a faulty unit. The maid said she would get it fixed for us..... We came back early evening to find the unit had been selotaped as the swing feature (vent that circulates the air) wasn't working.... We gave them the benefit of the doubt as although it was roasting hot in the room there was a noticeable difference between outside and inside after 10 hours of the unit being on..... NOT INSTANTLY like everywhere else where we have stayed.......

We were naturally agitated with no sleep and after 8 nights of hell and getting more annoyed with us knowing we had been robbed of air conditioning we went to see our resort representative who promised to look into the situation. When we got back to our room the owner had supplied us with a fan which was cooler but in our eyes confirmed there was a fault with the unit.... The company we booked through came out to see us and agreed that there was a problem and contacted the owner of the property...... We were kept updated by our representative and on day 9 confirmed that the unit was faulty and was going to be replaced 2 to 3 days before we we were due to travel home..... They offered us a €50 refund and said they would switch the unit off ........ The red mist descended as although it was obviously not working, there was a slight breeze from it.....we could not believe that they were still charging us for something they confirmed was broke but were switching it off! We demanded a full refund or be moved as we didn't have what we paid for.... The owners attitude was absolutely disgusting; she left us a note to say they had fixed it but would get it checked again..... When our rep went back to the owner with our suggestions on how we could relieve the situation they would not budge. They refused any refund and said the machine would be disconnected as they were giving us €50 back which equated to the 2nd week of our stay without air conditioning which wasn't a refund at all...

Whilst some people may not pay for the air conditioning, please be aware...... You won't be able to open the window as it opens onto the street that people can look in and worst of all, you will be prone to the possibility of the stray cats coming in which scavenge around the village bin depot which is directly opposite the apartments.

We were lucky to have travelled with an outstanding company who went the extra mile in giving us another property with air conditioning which exceeded all our expectations. They saved our holiday from disaster and it wasn't Cosmos who we travelled with. Their clients appeared to be given the better rooms away from the road - 8,9 & 10.

If you are in room 8 and reading this, a new air conditioning unit was apparently being installed on Monday 14th July...... We got the feeling that they want to line their pockets and not provide the clients with the services they advertise......

We definitely will not be returning to Kyriakos any time in the future!

Room Tip: Avoid rooms 8 & 9..... exceptionally NOISY.... And VERY VERY HOT..... Owner reckons it's because of being under the sun terrace. -more like faulty air conditioning unit!!!!

At 6 3 I was unable to stand upright in the bedroom unless I wanted to bang my head onthe ceiling beams. There was no bed just a mattress on the floor!!Had to wait a day to get the aircon switched on. Asked to use the room past midday checkout due to late flight home was refused and my baggage and possessions were left outside the room. When i got home i discovered we were missing a considerable number of toiletries and a pair of sandals. The owner and maid were very rude. Don't bother!!!

Just returned from another trip to Lindos. Having stayed in 5 star hotels and in the village, village life wins hands down. It was with some fear that we arrived, having read such mixed reviews. If you want a synthetic high end accommodation, go pay over the odds and stay in big hotels that actually aren`t even in Lindos ( plus you`ll be paying for a taxi every night to eat in the many brilliant restaurants). Kyriakos are situated just up from the road leading down to St Paul`s Bay but within easy reach of Pallas and the main beach. You are right opposite the Amphitheatre. We stayed in room 9 and watching the kids of the village play while enjoying a sundowner on the terrace was a great way to end a lazy day before heading out for the evening. Yes there is noise that starts early in the morning but why would you want to lie in when there`s a bakery tempting you to a pastry and coffee for breakfast? The rooms are basic but hey you only use it for a base. You really only need a bed, a shower/bath and somewhere to make a brew. This place has all these and is clean. Would I stay there again? Most definitely.
