We have just returned from our week long visit to Lindos Gardens. We stayed in a studio for 2/3 people, which featured 3 single beds (would have preferred a double but understand they get better use with singles), a small kitchenette (not great assortment of pots/pans/utensils if u wanted to do actual cooking) and a large terrace/balcony. Room size was very generous, kept reasonably clean (although one day, randomly, no one came to clean our room) but linen and towels were a bit old. Although they provide toilet roll and towels there is no hand soap, which was a bit strange.

As it was a heat wave and August the air-con in the room was a must, we paid 70euro for a week. We also chose to pay for the safety deposit box (pretty small, so wouldn't fit laptop or ipad in it) for 15euro and 5euro for the wifi (they don't mention there is a charge for this on their website, but it is just a one-off charge).

All the staff were friendly, helpful and pleasingly not very pushy (i.e. not trying to sell you drinks or food constantly). This reflected the attitude of most of the Greek people we encountered; hospitable and proud. We felt very welcome and at home in the hotel and in Lindos generally - it is a beautiful little village and having seen a lot of the rest of Rhodes whilst we were there, I'd say it was the best place to be based for a holiday.

The hotel complex is pretty good, both the main pool and the infinity pool are great. The 'mini market' isn't very well stocked, so we just went to the shop at the bottom of the road (2 mins walk) which has everything you could need at reasonable prices. There is wifi at the hotel which is fine by the pool, but wasn't very good in the room (we stayed in E block). Accessing the hotel from Lindos should not put you off, it is a 15 min walk maximum from the hotel into Lindos main square, although it is uphill on the way back.

Check in/out went smoothly, it is worth noting that you can pay for a late checkout (i.e. later than 12noon) for 4euro per hour. We thought this was reasonable and necessary due to the crazy flight times which operate in/out of Rhodes.

We only booked this holiday a couple of weeks in advance through Olympic holidays and felt we got a great deal. We also went on a few excursions through Olympic (Rhodes Express 21euro pp, Simply Symi 49euro pp, Island Tour 49euro pp) which I would recommend.

Overall, Lindos Gardens exceeded my expectations and ensured we had a fantastic holiday in beautiful Rhodes.

Visited with 4 friends in 2 apartments early July. We were on the lower level by the main pool. The apartments are basic but clean with small kitchenette and shower room. Shower has the typical Greek style curtain. Only slight issue was the fridge which had seen better days, the shelves were rusty. Out apartment (for 2) had 4 single beds, so could have easily accommodated 4 adults. In July air conditioning was a must and was70 euros a week. The lower apartments have easy access but there are apartments quite a way up the hill so if this is an issue need to ensure you are allocated lower level.

We used the lower pool area everyday and this was excellent. Lovely large pool with swim up bar, lots of space, shade under trees and nice views. No great issue with sunbed availability. Went to the top pool 1 day and surroundings not quite as nice but quieter and lovely views.

Bar is nice and happy hour (18:30 - 20:30) is good. Staff are friendly and did serve until 03:00 if people around. We went into town every night and always had a friendly greeting when we returned. Food during the day not cheap and breakfast a disappointment when compared with places like Mario's in town. The 3 x breakfasts deal for 20 euros is limited choice. Some of the meal deals in the evening looked like better value although we always ate in town.

Restaurants in Lindos generally very good. Favourite was Mythos, always made to feel welcome by George and lots of drink on the house. Next door is Lindos by Night Bar which is very good. Also Mon night bbq at Skala on the beach is good value and great setting. Would walk into town each night and taxi back for 4 euros.

Supermarket at the bus station about 5 mins from the hotel is good as is the pool bar next door for bar snacks.

Room Tip: Check the level you want to be on.

We just got back from a lovely week at Lindos Gardens and have only one complaint, we were not allowed to use lilo's or rubber rings in the pools,I can understand not being allowed in the infinity pool but not in main pool.
They allowed ball games which took up more room in the pool than any lilo.
Please re think this rule,as my two teenage girls were very dissapointed .
The staff are lovely and very helpful, and our towels were never removed, the rule is not to save them, this ment that we were never without a sunbed, lovely.
Thanks again for great week.

We. Travelled as a family grandma, daughters and grandchildren
Location really nice however we had room 3L right at the very top, my mum is disabled and I had a buggy this was difficult (the broucher does state not for people with walking diffulcties we wish we said something as my mum stayed in her room alot unable to face the hill)

The pools are lovely but deep so not good for my 2 yr old there are small children's pools but she wanted to be in the big pool, the infinity pool we visited once!!! never to return not the place for kids obviously very quiet and staff watching you at all time stopping us from drinking our own drinks (water we had bought from the shop and frooze not what you want when self catering bearing in mind we ate drank most days prior to this within the complex grounds)

The majority of the staff very friendly reception and owner lovely however the pool bartender rude to my kids and not very friendly to us a shame really

Lindos itself very lovely a donkey trip a must (be aware very high, take a camera) the quaint shops amazing. We hired a car had an amazing time visiting the whole of the island the bottom of the island beautiful very cool an excellent breeze and beach!!

Overall lovely just wish we were lower down lesson learnt from now on and very very hot!!

My partner had booked this hotel for our one year anniversary. ( he did well!)
when we arrived we felt the staff were all so friendly and welcoming and very helpful with a great sense of humor! :)
great location where the hotel is which is near the beaches and town centre.
The rooms was nice and spacious and we had a beautiful view of the Acropolis.
one thing tho about our room, we had 2 singles beds put together to make a double bed which was not very comfy for us both. and we had requested a double bed :(

we will be re-visiting again!!! :D

Just returned from our second visit to Lindos Gardens (Aug 2011, Aug 2012). We enjoyed Lindos so much last year, that we returned again this year.. something I've not done before, but the holiday was perfect for some essential R&R.

Lindos town is very quaint and has lots of character.. it's a labyrinth of cobbled streets filled with restaurants, bars and shops. Eating out was very reasonable.. we payed on average between 50-60 euro for the 3 of us having starters, mains and wine. The majority of the restaurants have roof top taverna's.. with the Acropolis as a back drop and the cool breeze it's the perfect setting to indulge on your favourite Greek cuisine. One place you HAVE to visit is Gel-Blu... the ice cream is amazing! and it's decorated in the traditional blue and white - you feel like your on the Mamma Mia set!

We were pleasantly surprised this year with the new pool at Lindos Gardens! Although your no longer allowed to use lilo's :0( the added swim up pool bar was great! The pool area is definitely a great feature and also the location of the evening entertainment - we stayed for the Karaoke, which was fun. The bar is on the more expensive side, but happy hour did help with this. The staff are really friendly.. we got help with our luggage on arrival and everyone was very pleasant throughout out stay - particularly Martin, Julie and Jack. The rooms are on the basic side, but are cleaned regularly - bins changed daily, and we had new towels and beds changed.

Although this year we simply stayed pool side all week!! We did explore more of the island last year... one thing we did find is that the beach at Lindos was quite busy and wasn't particularly clean. Instead we caught the bus to the near by resort of Pefkos - the beach here was much quieter and cleaner! A donkey ride up to the Acropolis is worth it for the views :0) The Waterpark is great fun too!

We booked with Olympic holidays about 3-4 weeks before departure and got a great deal!!
