we stayed in lindos gardens for a week at the end of september and we couldnt have found a better base to explore the area.we went self catering as we didnt want to restrict ourselves to the resort meals as we wanted to test as many lindos restaurants possible!we were in block g and had the most gorgeous view of the acropolis. the walk up was steep but as someone else mentioned a lift took you halfway there. the studio was a great size and spotless with lots of storage space and a good big bath/shower. the staff were lovely and all made the effort to greet us when they spotted us dragging our feet up and down the slopes to the room. the main pool was lovely as were the other two but we spent only a few hours at them as we based ourselves in either st pauls bay beach or lay out on the rocks (was nicer than it sounds!) at main beach. during the walk into lindos each morning (was between a 5 or 10 min walk depending on how energetic we were!) it was very funny to see the goats crossing the road, holding the cars up. just be aware that you will hear roosters and donkeys morning, noon and night here. there is a supermarket about 3 minutes away that we stocked up on water and fruit at. lindos town is lovely, make sure you go the back streets as they are gorgeous, especially around the amphitheatre area and on the way to st pauls bay.i cant recommend st pauls bay enough but get there early to get a sun lounger.
i was aware that air conditioning was extra as i've found this the norm in package holidays i've gone on in spain and italy so assumed it would be same in greece.what we did instead was hire a fan in a corner shop in lindos (beside mystery of light jewellers). it cost €15 for the week with a €20 deposit) and it did the job.
we didnt go to any of the resort entertainment nights but thats just because we wanted to make the most of lindos town each night. we went to the bar for happy hour and that was about it and found the staff very pleasant. make sure you go on boat tours where possible around lindos and go to the acropolis. its weird seeing a donkey terminal in the town and it was obvious to see that they dont have the same weight restrictions for donkey passengers in greece as they have in ireland/uk (8 stone max rider).
if you get a chance go to byzantinos restaurant in lindos, it was our favourite by far out of the numerous ones we tried. i loved lindos and loved lindos gardens as it was a well kept resort with friendly staff and close but not too close to lindos so you could escape the madness of all the noise/people. i'm definitely going back and will make it 2 weeks the next time!

Room Tip: if you love the views go as high as possible in block g upwards. if you have dodgy knees stick to a...

I wasn't expecting much from the hotel as the reviews were not great... I was so surprised, lovely place, great views and friendly staff!

Make sure you don't mind a long walk up hill back from town but after a couple of drinks it's much easier! Cardiac hill...

Lindos Gardens are an excellent base for a holiday in Lindos.
The apartments have everything you need apart from free air conditioning!! I was shocked that we had to pay extra for this. I have been to Crete, Zante and Greek mainland for holidays and have never had to pay extra for air con. Really think this needs to be looked at.
Apart from that the apartments are great
There is an infinity pool at the top of the complex with sun loungers. It's a lovely peaceful area and the views are spectacular. However the sun loungers are not!! Really feel that there should be comfy mattresses on the loungers as there are at the main pool.
The main pool is lovely with plenty of comfy sun loungers. There is a fountain which is lit up at night time and is really pretty.
It is only a 10 minute walk to Lindos village where there are many bars and restaurants. However it is very hilly but a taxi back is only 4 Euros.
If you have never been to Rhodes before I suggest you hire a car for at least a week. It's very safe to drive there and the roads are good plus you get to see Rhodes in its entirety.
Lindos looks to be the best resort on the island so of you choose Lindos Gardens you will not be disappointed.

Room Tip: We were in too. 29 and the views were lovely and the turtles were very near our room.

Well we just returned from two weeks in Lindos Gardens. First visit to Rhodes and we were very impressed. Lindos Gardens' staff were very friendly upon arrival, we were given the highest studio (1L) which we had requested and the view was amazing. The hill was very steep but the effort was worth it and there was a lift which we used, thankfully. Loved everything about Lindos Gardens complex, the pools were lovely. The sun beds around the main pool were particularly lovely as they had cushions and so were very comfortable. The beds by the infinity pools didn't which was a shame.

The accommodation itself was great, nice and big with plenty of storage for your clothes. Unfortunately there was no shower curtain, but you do get used to it, the shower itself was great and we never lost any power, which is generally a foregone conclusion in Greece.

The other gripe would be that there was no secure area for suitcases, they were just left in a passageway.

The staff were lovely, although Harry from the restaurant was a bit grumpy at times!

I would recommend Lindos Gardens and a particular thank you to Bethany the Thomson rep. She was lovely

We went back to Lindos for the 2nd year, as we loved it so much in 2012! This time we stayed at the Lindos Gardens, which was a good move :)
It was immaculate; we got there late evening, and was welcomed by lovely staff, who informed us that we could still get a meal in the restaurant if we wanted to. We looked through from reception and could see a beautiful pool.. with a swim up bar... and it was all lit up with water fountains..certainly put us in holiday mode. The Restaurant and lounge/bar areas were very modern with contemporary style furniture which was very comfy and inviting.
Our room was 22F which was up the top of a pretty steep hill..we chose this, as the views were spectacular and also it was lovely and peaceful. On arrival, a Golf buggy type vehicle and a member of staff took us up there with our cases. There is a lift to take you part of the way!
If mobility is a problem, then I would advise to ask for ground floor apartments. The room was nicer than any we had stayed in in Greece. The room could take up to 3 people. 2 beds pushed together for double and one single. The double wardrobes had loads of hangers (nice touch) Bathroom with bath/shower ..good power from shower. Balcony with amazing views! Maid service every day..kept very clean. Happy hour 1830-2030..useful :) Greek night, great fun..and a music night with Costa (love that man) ..Karaoke, (if you like that sort of thing)
Harry, in the Restaurant was a lovely man, who was very friendly and helpful always .All staff were a pleasure to deal with always. There is nothing negative to report which makes a nice change! We wouldn't hesitate in recommending this hotel...I could waffle on, there is so much more to say..but don't want to bore you..try for yourself :)

Room Tip: As mentioned...you will need to ask for ground floor rooms if mobility or fitness is a problem.

Pool & Surrounding area spotless - 5*
Bar and food - 4* but is pricey for drinks when not happy hour, food & ice cream much cheaper elsewhere
Staff - 5* very friendly
Rooms/bathroom - 3* what you expect in Greece - Nice enough room but bathroom not great!
Cleanliness in rooms - 3* - while they were clean at the start the cleaners didn't do much once you were there for 2 weeks - very basic clean, collected rubbish daily, towels hit & miss, no surfaces cleaned.
70 euros each week for air conditioning - too pricey for me! would be better off if this was originally added to the price and you didn't know about it!
30 euros for the safe in your room for a fortnight
I don't want to sound off too much because this is a lovely price and a great central place to get a good feel of Lindos.
However, for the less able it is a big trek up and down the hill each day into the village.

Room Tip: I think the newer rooms were further up the hill
