“A good hotel to stay at”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 June 2014

Just returned from a week at the Lindos Gardens for our silver wedding. The hotel was spotless and much better that the "basic" we were told to expect. The rooms are large and well fitted out and immaculately clean. The staff were great and so helpful, special mention to Cloud who ran the top pool bar, great fun. The food we had was good as was the service by the ladies. Jack behind the main bar in the evenings was a character. Only drawback was the extras you had to pay for (safe, internet, A.C) but I know the tour companies screw the prices of the rooms right down so they have to make a profit somehow to maintain the excellent standard. I will return to this excellent hotel in this lovely spot of Greece

Room Tip: Go for a room up the top of the complex for the best views

We stayed here for 1 week mid June and loved it. We had room 24E, a studio which sleeps up to 3 and is located in the top part of the property close to the infinity pool. The studio itself is furnished to a higher standard than your average Greek self catering and the view from our balcony was fantastic, we looked straight on to the acropolis which was just super to sit there at night and have a few drinks.
We tended to use the infinity pool as it was a small, quieter pool with the bar looked after by the super Claude who's service was fantastic. We did eat onsite once for lunch, the gyros plate was nice but the burger had a strange taste to it and so we didn't eat in again. Drinks were average in price, a small bottle of beer was €2.50, €3.50-4 for a large beer, €7 approx for a cocktail - the mojito was not good as it seemed to have squash in it but the peach cocktail was lovely.

Location wise as others have said the property is very much set on a hill which just help to burn off those holiday calories! As we were at the top of the property it was about a 10 minute walk to the bus stops, Ice bar and Lindian Passage restaurants. A further 5 minutes took you to the main square - all of these are down hill and so we took a taxi back every evening which cost no more than €5 from the square up to the hotel.

We loved Lindos and the Lindos Gardens is a nice place to stay for a better than your average Greek self catering, we can't wait to return!

weve just returned from a week here, first holidays ever in 26 years without the kids. ive been here and has improved, the rooms still the same as they were 8 years ago, it was fine for us but as a self catering establishment u could not self cater in the kitchen provided for a famly. The staff are all wonderful and very helpfuil, anthea was a sweet heart and jack very funny. if i had to say anything negative , i think they sould havea different evening menu from day menu. Must say was lovely to go somewhere where there was adequate sunbeds which makes a nice change..

deffo be returning

We stayed for two weeks from June 11th. Our apartment was in the upper block and a steep walk after hot days. The apartment is very basic with the kitchen situated beside the bathroom ( not very hygienic ). Air conditioning charge is well over priced at 98 euros for two weeks ( but you will need it ). Also they charge 30 euros for a safety deposit box which is very expensive. They try to save on electricity when you have booked the air conditioning by handing out leaflets instructing you to only run the unit for ten minutes with all doors closed to avoid icing up the machine. This is nonsense, you can use air conditioning for any length of time. Our unit leaked water on the first run and seeped down through two electric switches and an electric light ( which should not have been under the unit in the first place. The maintenance people unblocked a clogged pipe outside after instructions from myself as they seemed at a loss to solve the problem. We woke on two mornings without water and electricity. Reception said it was not their problem but community repair work. Why a complex as large as this has no back up generator I do not know. They also instruct you not to use plug in mosquito deterrents as they cause fires. Again this is ridiculous and only a ruse to cut down on the use of electricity. There are good points at this complex. The main pool area is quite nice with a swim up pool bar but it is only 1.1 m deep which is about waist high and great for paddlers not strong swimmers. The Infinity pool which is situated on the top block and high up the cliff is deep enough and does have great views of the bay and the nearby Acropolis but this pool area is very small and cluttered. The sun beds at the main pool are wooden trolleys on wheels with comfortable mattress and great to sunbathe on. The bar offers ''Happy Hour'' from 6.30pm to 8.30pm every night and is hosted by the friendly barman Jack and his equally nice assistant. The cleaners do not clean the apartment floors and no cleaning equipment is available for you to do it yourself. They come almost everyday and empty the small squatty bins. Towels are changed every three days. They leave the new towels on your beds ( bed linen changed every four days ) in ornamental shapes. The time it takes to do this would clean at least 4 floor areas. The complex is close to the long walk down to the main beach and lovely Lindos village. The walk back up is hard on a very hot day and the local taxis speed up and down the road with no respect for pedestrians. The staff at the complex work long hours and do try their best in the line of friendliness but the management here could try a little harder to develop more customer satisfaction. The beds in the apartment are extremely hard and make sleeping difficult.

Room Tip: Get a room close to the main pool area.

This was our 3rd visit to Lindos Gardens and we were disappointed with the standard of the rooms and cleanliness compared to previous years. The reception, pool and bar areas are very good but the apartments inside are looking very dated. Expensive air con, broken toilet and table which we fixed ourselves. No hairdryers so ladies please remember to take your own as it was difficult to borrow one from reception. Staff are very friendly and helpful and the location is good but don't expect a high standard. Lindos is a fabulous town to explore, so eat out, enjoy the beaches and make the most of the island.

Just returned from 2 weeks at this hotel and had a fantastic time. .Lindos is a beautiful place with all the rooftop restaurants and bars. This hotel was very good, the main pool was nice and big and the service is good. Up at the infinity pool which is great,is where you will find Cloud..his service is nothing short of 7 stars and will do anything for you..a really nice guy that always had time for a chat and very funny at the same time.
We were in block C which is perfectly central to the main pool and the infinty pool.
Never ate in the restaurant as theres so many great places to eat in Lindos.
Only bad points is that they charge a fortune for air con (€49 per week) no free wifi again (€25 per week per device) and no tv in the room which is minor.
Beds are comfy and regularly cleaned. Overall a great time.. and I would go back here..Yamas !!
