My wife and I stayed here for two weeks end of June/July. The hotel is clean and very nicely set out however the gardens could do with a little more upkeep. It wasn't till our last day that the grass was cut. We had a lovely room witha magnificent view over the sea however I wasn't too keen on the fact that our glass fronted balcony looked straight over rooms with private pool and the large gentleman next door who delighted in naked swims. I ceratinly wouldn't want to pay extra for a private pool to be stared at by someone sat on the balcony above. That said however, the pool areas and decking are great, we used the smaller pool everyday by the beach which was very quiet and the staff at the beach bar, Captain George and his wife (good luck with the pregnancy in that heat!!) Thethspina, (Canadian/Greek) and the beach girl Spohia were fantastic and very helpful. We always shared a lunch as portions cab be quite large. The beach itself was also very quiet and made up of pebbles and sand so you do need beach shoes to venture into the sea as the walk out is very rocky, but once out put the mask on as there are alot of fish to watch.
The restaurant was ok, the food was edible but in some cases not always warm, we did eat out three times in nearny Lindos. The staff here can be quite slow at times in clearing plates and then on other accasions grab your plate before your partner has finished eating.
We noted a lot of comments about prices of drinks, 0.4lt of draught local beer was 4.5 euros, a large glass of local wine, 6 euros and a G and T was 7 euros. These are comparable with where we live in England, gone are the days of cheap booze on a Euro holiday, even duty free is expensive nowadays.
We used to get the bus every night from outside the hotel on the main road, 8pm prompt, 3.2 euros for both of us and 6 euro taxi ride back. Nice to have a walk round Lindos, a couple of drinks and then bed. Lindos is a 25 minute walk away and in the heat out there you are sweating ny the time you get there. There is no where to walk by the hotel.
We didn't use any facilies so can't comment on those but all in all a good time was had and we would go back.

Room Tip: Get a sea view, it's fantastic

We stayed a week and overall had a good stay in our oceanview suite with private pool.

However a few points to consider
- the WiFi is really bad, and with a cumbersome log in procedure every 2min if you can connect at all
- the inclusive dinner buffet is less than inspiring. Spend the money in Lindos instead
- the wine list is nothing for customers of 5star hotels. Three different lists, one for each restaurant, and you cannot get wine from other than the list for each soecific restaurant. Oh and except for champage it is all greek wine. The sommelier is not very knowledgable
- the service level is something that completely fails. No language skills, no want to please customers...and bring a boat load of patience, you will need it

The hotels has a nice atmosphere, but compared to our expectations (being very frequent travellers) it falls flat

We stayed for 4 nites in this hotel, got a room at the end of corridor on 2nd floor, which is not a really nice view ( just the roof view of other building). The hotel design is good, but they dont maintain up to the high level. Breakfast is average, all the same everyday. The facilities such as gym, you have to pay for it, very small/tiny room with limited equipment ( ridiculous) .Some staff doesnt know how to serve customers, like waitress in the olivino restaurant always looks grumpY ( again, its average food). We wont be back to this place in the future.

Room Tip: dont choose any rooms on the same floor with reception

My wife and I visited Aquagrand mid june for our second visit in 3 years. Without any doubt, this is our favourite hotel and holiday destination. The hotel is very beautiful and if you are looking for a chilled, relaxed holiday then this is the place for you. The beach is wonderful and the view is incredible - if there is one place that I would like to go to right now it would be the jetty on the Aquagrand beach - I could sit there and watch the sea views for days!
The hotel is amazing but for this review I would like to focus on the hotel staff - absolutely brilliant service received on this holiday. It was our wedding anniversary whilst we were on holiday and the staff could not have done more to make that a memorable occassion.
Special mention to Oksana who arranged for flowers to be delivered to my wife, arranged for anniversary meal to be had on the beach in a specially decorated cabana. It was just perfect.
Aphrodite who works in the restuarant, she was really a great host and always looked out for my wife and I.
Captain George who looked after us on our anniversary meal was excellent. Great recommendations provided for food and drink and very professional and ultimately made sure that we had a memorable meal. I also think a great waiter/host is to judge his customers and George did that perfectly. We had some very friendly chat and he was just a very nice guy.
Finally to the owner (Maria I believe), she has a wonderful hotel and goes out her way to make sure that the guests have a wonderful holiday. Her eye for detail is incredible and she was also very friendly when we saw her at breakfast each morning. Also, thank you for the gift you gave us as an anniversary present.
In conclusion, wonderful hotel with incredible service. This is my favourite holiday destination and hope to return next summer. Thank you to all at Aquagrand.

Here now. Concur with all the glowing reports re hotel and facilities. Really good, drinks pricy & location a little remote.

Miserable surly blonde staff member in the poolside bar/restaurant does not speak English well, but her bad tempered impatience lets down her colleagues with her moody and irritated attitude.

Young girl and lady who speaks english well both very sweet & helpful.

Will return, however hope this aspect improved.

As a huge fan of Greece who has holidayed in the islands for more than 25 years, I have become a vocal defender of the 'rustic charm' and 'authenticity' that typically characterises Greek accommodation. AquaGrand is a complete departure from the traditional however... in a good way! The hotel is beautifully designed, stylishly furnished and expertly maintained. If anything, the website slightly undersells the experience - it's even better than it looks.
Its position makes for stunning sea views; the colour of the water is exquisite. We stayed the first week in July and the weather was excellent - every day was hot, clear and breezy. There is a large, central pool with a sunbathing deck which we tended to avoid since it felt a little enclosed. There is a second, smaller pool adjacent to the beach. The beach itself is largely shingle and the shallow water extremely rocky, so while we sunbathed on the beach, we dipped in and out of the nearby pool.
Each evening we went in to Lindos, which we found to be a perfect sized village for a week's entertainment. Ambrosia is by far the best restaurant for dinner. We used the hotel restaurants for lunch; the food at both Sensia Beach Bar and Olivino was very good. We also visited Zen Bar for drinks several times, which has a fantastic large balcony overlooking the grounds and sea.
Our room was lovely and spacious, with a glorious balcony and huge pillow top bed. The daily cleaning service was thorough and on arrival the room contained a few nice touches, such as complementary slippers and gowns, fruit, wine and water.
So many aspects of this hotel are truly excellent. However the one area that we were disappointed by is the standard of service - generally it falls short and doesn't befit the overall experience of the hotel. Some staff members seemed vacant and overwhelmed by simple requests, while others were actually just rude and unhelpful. There are marked exceptions; the lady who runs Zen Bar and the blonde lady at Sensia are delightful, friendly and professional.
I wholly recommend AquaGrand for anyone seeking a week's relaxation in Rhodes. I hope that like me you're pleasantly surprised.

Room Tip: We requested a sea facing room on booking and this was fulfilled.

The hotel is FABULOUS!
The arrival to the hotel is so pretty, walking into the entrance where the staff are awaiting your arrival who were extemley efficient, with smiles and helpfulness beyond expectations.
The room was spacious and over looking the jammy guest who had their own private pool, but dont worry as there are two beautiful pools to choose from or your own private beach (shingle, not sand, you may want sea shoes)... No need to rise early to get those towels on the loungers, plenty to go around.
We went half board, the staff were fantastic and the food was up to a high standard, to which all I can say is that the sweet stand was...tasty!! Enjoy your stay, we had a great, relaxing time and would go back within a flash, knowing that it is a place to unwind and be spoilt.
Personal gratitudes to Panos (Matre Dei, and very proud of his position) who was friendly and funny, making sure we were very well looked after, aswell as his cousin Mickis (waiter) who also got use to our little preferences (1% milk, which would be at our table before having to ask) these are all the little things that make it tht bit more special. Not forgetting Costas (Zen Bar) very quiet friendly well mannered man, unfortunatley we cannot name all members of staff, but they are ALL a credit to AquaGRAND. Thank you for our holiday.

Room Tip: The room we stayed in was overlooking the private pool, but to be fair i dont believe there is a bet...
