“Lovely Holiday”
Reviewed 1 August 2013

We stayed here the last week in July and the setting is very picturesque with the cliffs nearby and beachfront location.
The hotel is very clean, great pool and lovely private beach (pebble).
We stayed half board and we were very impressed with the food except the Italian buffet night.
Staff is wonderful – friendly, welcoming and attentive.
We travelled as a couple and whilst the holiday was relaxing, there were some loud children bombing into the pool and generally being a bit boisterous but it wasn’t too much of an issue and you if you have kids yourself (we do not), you are probably used to the noise!
Nice mix of people at the hotel – we met Italians, French, Austrians, Germans, English, etc.
The negatives about the holiday would be that the rooms are not of a 5* standard. Whilst they are clean, they are small and not very well equipped (no luggage stands or kettle/coffee making facilities or wifi (only in reception). Bathrooms are also small and a bit tatty. And side view of the sea was not great. However, the beds were comfortable and the aircon worked a treat!
All in all, would recommend the hotel. We had a great time and Rhodes is beautiful.

Room Tip: The shop sells water much cheaper than the Taverna. You can switch your dinner to lunch twice (do...

We based our decision on Trip and the Pegase book from our belgian travel agent.
We hired a car for the full duration of the trip (2 weeks) so we arrived at the hotel by our own means. Easy to find and big parking space is available. The room was available immediately and after some trouble with the airco remotes everything was fine.
Room was large, storage was too little. Bathroom was tiny and taking a shower in the bath took a few days before you could balance and not fall out the tub. That could be improved.

Food/restaurant.
First of all I would like to congratulate the restaurant staff. They are very professional, always friendly and helpful and when there is a problem it gets solved immediately. Never encountered such a high quality service in a hotel restaurant.

Breakfast; ok, wide selection. Every day about the same. You can get eggs and pancakes made to order. Coffee is a problem. Since the coming of the espresso machines we are no longer used to drinking percolated coffee. Another detail: the bacon is there every day, and every day it is cooked instead of crisply baked.

Lunch: you can get lunch at the pool bar. Everything is made to order. HUGE portions. Very good quality.

Dinner: This is where we were disappointed. We selected this hotel specially because there is no buffet for the main course. You can choose between 3 dishes every day and 2 soups. Serving portions are small. We had the impression that nothing was made to order. Every dish we got was set-up so it could be made "en-masse" in the kitchen.
This means that all meats, fish and pastas have been slowly cooked to death. Do not expect many grilled meats/fish because this cannot be made this way. We got 1 dish in 2 weeks. Quite disappointed in that...
Wine list is excellent but expensive (expect x3 to x4 what you pay in supermarket).
At nigh there is always live music and to our surprise it was very nice.
We disliked the greek and italian buffet nights the most. Seating outside is fantastic during the greek buffet.

Beach: excellent location, almost private, magnificent water colour. Many chairs but in the high season you need to get there early or the are all booked... Snorkelling is the best we had in Europe so far. So make sure to bring your gear.

Fitness: it's there bit that is al there is to it. 1 treadmill, 1 rowing machine (old) and 1 set of weights. Not even a bench so you can actually use the weights.

Internet: free in the lobby, in the room you need to pay. The first week the internet was down 5 days out of seven. Even the paid internet was down. Not good. Fortunately the hotel next door has free internet and if you're lucky with the room location you can get it from there

We visited in July..for a week. Hotel is beautiful with a lovely private, quite beach..feels very private. Also, the pool area is very nice.. the taverna is there for nice lunch meals.

The location is excellent as its surrounded by hills/ mountains.. and 2mins taxi into Lindos centre. There are also local buses that run at different intervals throughout the day.

The service is outstanding.. well managed- from reception staff to waiters and care takers.

The only downsidw for me are the rooms. They are very basic, not if a 5* standard. Also the sofa bed looks more like a cheap hospital bed, certainly not of a 5* hotel. The view from the side sea view rooms is a bit dull, you have to lean over the balcony to see a bit if the sea.

Overall, it was an enjoyable stay, however rooms needs a bit of modern furnitioning. I would recomend it for everyone, however maybe not for families with young children

we stayed here as a family with our 18 yr old daughter from July 6th - July 20th and absolutely loved it!! We found it a bit quiet at first but once we got used to the pace and the heat we had the best holiday ever. The place is nice and intimate and impeccably clean with a super pool area and delightful private beach right on the doorstep, the food was decent without being Gordon Ramsey quality but the most outstanding thing about this hotel is its staff....I have never met a happier, pleasant, hard working bunch than here...from the Manager Sotiris down they were exceptional, the restaurant manager Georgios was superb, cheeky chappy Loukas brilliant, Panos a true professional and Elena always there with a pleasant smile. The bar staff Stergos and Katerina were also exceptional and made our stay truly memorable. If there were any negatives that was purely down to our own preferences...we would have preferred a bit more life at night, there was a singer most evenings singing the same songs and he always finished at 10.30pm, but thanks to Stergos and Loukas we ventured out to Lindos and Pefkos later on and sampled the many bars and live music spots in both towns. We met some lovely people and feel we have made friends for life with some of them...in fact both my wife and daughter were in tears when we had to leave....there is no doubt we will come back here again!!

Room Tip: Try and get a room on the first floor as the views are much better

My girlfriend and I booked this hotel in July for 1 week, we based the decision on the good reviews on this site and on the pictures submitted by the members. Getting to the hotel was a bit of a trek but it was worth the effort as the location is nice and relaxing.

The staff are amazing and extremely helpful and smiley, we were on half-board and we were quite impressed with the quality and the variety of the buffet. The pool was clean and tranquil but the star attraction was the beach which we enjoyed tremendously.

There is a shop on the premises that sells snacks and alcohol and other trinkets, my advice is to buy a case of bottled water rather than individual ones as it works out better.

Our only gripes were with the free wireless internet which was not reliable and also the limited choice of TV channels available.

Overall, we had a lovely time and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to escape the rat race.

P.S. a special thank you goes out to Maria who was extremely helpful and made our stay a more comfortable one.

Room Tip: Go for rooms on the first floor as the ground floor ones are a bit claustrophobic.

This hotel is an excellent and quiet place to refill the body's and mental resources. The food and service was excellent. The pool area and beach were large and equiped enough with beds so that everybody could find his favourite place to enjoy the sun. For everybody I would suggest this Hotel.

Room Tip: •"Higher floors have less A/C unit noise"

We stayed 3rd - 10th July, The hotel is lovely, the staff were excellent and the food was great and the location couldn't have been better. We booked this hotel after reading the reviews and we weren't disappointed. while we were there is was our wedding anniversary and my birthday, my husband arranged flowers which were delivered to the room, they were beautiful and in the evening I was presented with a lovely birthday cake by the hotel. The hotel having only 70 rooms is far more personable then other hotels the staff could not do enough to make our stay perfect. We arrived late 10.30 ish and were given a glass of champagne, as we had missed dinner a plate of cold meats, fruit and wine were brought to our room, we were also given a voucher to use in the tavern. We booked a standard room, which was lovely, bathroom a bit small but had shower over bath and fresh towels daily and was spotlessly clean as was the rest of the hotel. We also had a side view seaview room, where we used to watch the goats from the balcony in the morning and then in the evening watch them climbing back up the hills. The hotel is a bit remote but if you want somewhere away from it all with a great location and views then Lindos Memories is perfect. You can walk in to Lindos which takes about 25 minuets or get the bus or get a taxi, we walked and got the bus back. There were always plenty of loungers with thick mattresses, round the pool and on the beach with fresh towels supplied daily. This hotel is one of the best we have stayed in and will certainly return. I would agree with all the comments Mrs Jennings have said.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on an upper floor overlooking the hills.
