“One night of bliss for our wedding night :D ”
Reviewed 16 November 2013 via mobile

Stayed here on our wedding night with my husband, we were meant to have our wedding reception in the tavern however a huge storm caused us to change venue. Arrived at 11.30pm still dressed in our wedding clothes and got shown to our room...which was upgraded to a junior suite. Complete luxury!
Beautiful suite upstairs and down, bathroom had robes and slippers and more toiletries than I could have used in a week. So clean! After a great night sleep in a wonderful bed (was so nice to sleep in a air con cool room with a duvet compared to a sheet for rest of holiday!) we were brought breakfast in bed!
Staff were lovely, we left in the morning so didn't use the facilities such as the spa or pool but our one night was lovely.
Teeny niggles - when we came in I was desperate for a bath or shower as I'd been in my dress sweating all day but there was no hot water (this was not a problem in the morning, had a lovely shower at 8am).
Also I'm glad we didn't stay here the whole holiday as it would have cost us a large chunk of our spending money on taxis to pefkos or lindos as we like to eat out each night and explore.
Would recommend for people with money to spend on taxis or those who like to stick to the hotel on holiday and not venture each day.
Thank you for a lovely wedding night :) x

Having gone to a family members wedding in lindos In August. We booked this hotel because we wanted to be away from the hotel that they were having the wedding in. This was the best choice this hotel has everything that you can as for and it has to be by far the best one that we have been to. I would recommend it to anyone. The restaurants are fantastic. I would recommend having a car due to location and if you want a fun filled day out go to the old Rhodes town there is so much to see and do there. I would defiantly go back.

My wife and I stayed at Lindos Memories between 12/10/13 - 19/10/13. We are so glad we chose this hotel as it far exceeded our expectations.

Hotel and staff
The hotel itself is made from beautiful stone and is very unique in it's layout from places we have stayed before. We were in a room above the reception (214) which meant we had a partial sea view and it was really quiet (away from the restaurant). In our view the rooms here would likely be the best rooms to have. The whole hotel is completely spotless and well looked after. Our room itself was nice, although more like 4* than 5* in terms of luxury.

The staff at this hotel are incredible. Nothing is too much trouble for them, they are always willing to help in any way you may need it and are always smiling. We wouldn't want to single people out as they were all helpful, however we must say that Maria on reception and the 2 waiters (1 male, 1 female - Forgotten how to spell their names!) at the Taverna at lunch were particularly friendly and helpful.

Food
The food at the hotel was one of the things that massively exceeded our expectations. The amount of choice at breakfast, lunch and dinner is staggering. 2 nights they had buffet only (Greek themed and Italian themed) and the other nights were 4 course A La Carte, but with buffet starter. The quality was tremendous, and it was a struggle to choose so ended up having very large starters most nights! The only slight downside is the amount of stray cats hanging around during eating times, but they just walked around and didn't cause any trouble.

The entertainment at dinner was nice and relaxing, although 4 of the 7 nights it was the same guy singing and playing guitar. We didn't mind though as it added to the chlled atmosphere.

Beach and sea
The hotel is right on it's own private beach. It also has a large pool, but as the beach is right next to it, we only used this once. The sun loungers were never particularly busy and we always sat where we wanted to on the edge by the water. The beach was mainly sandy although with some stones mixed in. Not a problem for walking on at all, although there were some bigger stones when getting into the water. The water is so crystal clear though that it's not hard to avoid these. In fact the water is that clear, you can see the sea floor when out swimming past your depth. It wasn't bad for snorkelling, we saw probably between 8-12 different types of fish, plus a couple of eels. We briefly saw an octopus too as some guy picked it up out of the sea!!

All in all, a beatiful beach to sepnd the week on. Super relaxing as it was quiet and no other hotels nearby (There is another hotel next door but it seemed very quiet and is far enough away to forget it is there).

Location
Lindos Memories is not actually in Lindos, it is set in the next bay along. This in our opinions was a massive plus for this hotel, as the bay it is in is far nicer than Lindos beach, and is obviously less busy. It is only a 20-25 minute walk to Lindos, with a couple of hills to face. Not a problem for most people I would have thought. We enjoyed the walk, as you had some great views and could also spot the goats climbing up the side of the mountains! (Side note: there were also some goats that occassionally came on to the deserted part of the beach by the hotel, which was quite cool to see!)

Lindos itself is a very pretty traditional greek town. Worth a wonder and a stop at some of the rooftop tavernas. We also went up to the Acropolis which has some amazing views and we would reccommend. St Pauls bay which is in between Lindos and the hotel was a beautiful bit of beach and is set within a natural cove so is great for snorkelling.

Rhodes town is around an hour bus drive. The old town is definitely worth a visit as it is beautiful to wander around. We didn't go to the new town, but from driving past it, it didn't seem much apart from lots of shops.

Summary
So all in all, we would highly reccommend staying at Lindos Memories. We came away very relaxed and would happily return again.

Room Tip: Rooms above the reception are quieter and have a partial sea view

We were in Lindos for a family wedding, the members of which were spread over different hotels and apartments and, although this hotel isn't a 5 star, we felt we'd got the best of the bunch. The setting is idyllic, being set on the beach in a sheltered bay, with goats wandering about on the surrounding scrub land. In October, the sea was warmer than the pool and the general temperature was excellent.

The hotel is very clean, good air conditioning but I could never get hot water for a bath or a good hair wash. The other annoyance was that wifi is only available in reception.

I rather liked my room on hindsight although it was just to the left of reception and, I suspect, the bottom of the rung. We got the sunset and could see who was coming and going. We were in it only to sleep.

The staff, especially in the Taverna, were very understanding of our loud and thirsty family who arrived en masse at any given moment.

The downside is that Greek taxis are expensive* and for a week, we spent more than 100 Euros going back and forth from Lindos. The one bus we went for didn't turn up and we had to hail a taxi.

The food in the entire area wasn't that great and I was disappointed. I have fond memories of Cretan food from almost 30 years ago; huge plates of snails in a strong sauce eaten with the bent tines of a fork, meat stew in terracotta bowls cooked on melon seed pasta........ Pastitsio, what happened to pastitsio?

Lindos is a lovely village.

*Seems that taxi licenses in Greece are very expensive and they also have to make their money in just the 6 months of the tourist season.

A beautiful place, nice, custom. Maria at the reception with your kindness and cordiality, as all those who work there, did we go a few amazing days. Private beach and lounge chairs, dinner with live music made that night are unique and special.
Food amazing, fresh and varied.
Room a dream, with view to the sea and the Sunrise which could be seen from the balcony.
Recommended 100%

We stayed here in October this year. its brilliant, does exactly what it says on the tin. lovely hotel, nice and quiet, relaxed atmosphere and ideal if you want to just get away from things and chill out. The food is excellent both at the restaurant and the pool tavern. All the staff were really nice, pleasant and helpful. The whole place is kept really well, clean and the pool area was pristine. The beach area is also very nice and there are more than enough sun loungers for the quantity of guests both on the beach and around the pool. We stayed half board which was great and purchased food at the tavern at lunch time which wasn't over priced, which was a real surprise. Lindos town, which is really nice is only 20mins walk and the hotel is positioned in a nice bay away from the town. There is another hotel next door but that is it. The beach and coast is very rocky so brilliant for snorkelling. overall, great, would certainly go back.
PS. in Lindos town we ate at a cosy little traditional Greek tavern called Maria's, can recommend this.

Room Tip: would recommend a first floor room. the views are obviously better as some the ground floor rooms fa...

I´ve spent 11 days on this amazing hotel, and all I can say to everyone there is: thank you!
The location is absolutely perfect, if you´re looking for a quiet place away from everything but close (a 20 minutes walk) from the lovely village of Lindos. Although the beach is small, the water is warm, and the sea looks like a huge aquarium full of tiny colorful fishes, swimming on blue turquoise and green emerald waters. Rooms are simple and quiet, and one feels cleanness in the air. Meals are pretty good as well, although at night, and if you chose half board, the only buffet you get is salad, anyway you have 3 main dishes, soup and dessert you can always repeat! Employees are absolutely spotless: always there for you, nice, interactive (but not boring), and efficient.
At the reception you´ll find Maria, a beautifully big eyed receptionist that welcomes you warmly and makes you feel like you´re at home.
Don´t miss Lindos that, after Rhodes city, is one the island´s main attractions. The village is absolutely immaculate regarding street cleanness (although there´s donkeys everywhere carrying tourists from and to the magnificent Acropolis) and house conservation. What´s also amazing is there, there are no modern buildings/hotels which helps to preserve the landscape and specially both Lindos beautiful bays (the main one St.Paul´s). Don´t also miss a visit to Rodos city, where you´ll find the biggest, and best well preserved, medieval city in Europe!
Have Fun!
