“Romantic wedding and honeymoon at Memories”
Reviewed 13 September 2009

We were married at Lindos Memories. Lindos Weddings organised it and it was absolutely beautiful. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful too. We stayed there for the wedding night and night after in a deluxe sea view room and we think that choosing this place for our wedding and to stay for the 2 nights were some of the best decisions. It was perfect and a very romantic setting. Waking up there the morning after the wedding to a huge breakfast delivered to our door which we ate on our balcony overlooking the sea and pool was amazing. The hotel was quiet and peaceful. We also did 'trash the dress' on our last morning which was so much fun - getting the sea and pool at lindos memories for photos - especially jumping in the pool in our wedding outfits!

My seventh trip to Lindos Memories in four years, speaks for itself. Such a warm welcome every time. The staff and service just keep getting better.
The hotel itself is immaculate, cleaned night and day and presented to an impeccable standard.
The rooms are light and airy, all with sea view and balcony. They are clean, well decorated and kept in excellent order.
Outside, the pool is lovely, with a small pool for the little ones and the main pool boasts a quiet corner with jacuzzi jets which are just fantastic!
You can have lunch in the Taverna which serves everything from Greek Salad to Gyros.
Breakfast is always excellent with a huge choice of hot or continental food in the buffet.
The location is perfect, a great little beach out front, lovely for swimming or snorkling and perfect for the kids to explore the rock pools, all this set under the dramatic backdrop of the Navarone cliffs.
Lindos, with it's impressive amphitheatre and cobbled car-free streets is just a short taxi ride away and great for picking up a couple of souvenirs to take home.
Rhodes Town, (about 45 mins by car) is an excellent day out. Its' ancient stone walls and traditonal Greek market are a must.
Back at Memories and prepare yourself for a feast of a dinner in the restaurant, with a choice of soup, starters, salad, main course and desert every night you might want to make use of the gymnasium to work off a few pounds.
The hotel has just started doing massages which I think is a great idea. The massage menu is almost as extensive as the dinner one and you can chose to take your massage outside in a beachside Gazebo or downstairs near the gym.
The hotel bar is a great place to relax in the evening, don't go home without trying one of their fantastic cocktails.
Live Greek music is played nightly and on Thursday's you can look forward to a real treat. Greek night brings the Taverna to life - traditonal Greek food is served al fresco and everyone is encouraged to join in the Greek dancing! Tuesday's is international cabaret night, again the food is cooked and served outside and you can enjoy the international dancing display, great for the little ones!
Sure we'll be back again next year!
Thanks to all at Lindos Memories for making our stay so special!

Stayed here for 2 weeks in early August. Checked in swifly and shown to a standard room (booked with Thomas Cook). Room was good standard and very clean, we had mini bar, tv and good sized balcony.

We were HB (breakfast & diner) .Made breakfast about 4 times in 2 weeks due to late nights in the towns Lindos and Pefkos! Food in the morning was as expected with a choice of hot and cold food in a buffet style. Drinks were served at our table and a good selection of hot drinks were available.

We ate evening meal in the hotel probably about 4 times. Even though this was part of our package and we had paid for it, I'm afraid the food wasn't really what we had in mind. Don't get me wrong the menu was always 4 course and each course had the choice of 2 dishes but for us some of the courses were a little fussy or the options weren't to our liking. So we decided to make our evenings more special by dining outside the hotel. I don't think you'd starve as the portions are large and I'm sure they could adapt the set menu if you asked

We realised during our second week that we could trade evening meal to a lunch voucher to be used at the snack bar - reception organised this. Good job really as we felt the snack bar was very expensive. The food here was good and plenty of choice. Staff were very friendly but I'd say not enough people were serving and you could easily sit for 15 mins waiting to be served.

The beach was slightly disappoining as it is rough shingles rather than sand. You get used to it though and the sea was just great to swim in. Snorkling from the beach was great and we could spend hours in the sea.

The hotel is inbetween Pefkos and Lindos so really is the perfect setting for a quiet holiday. Always plenty of loungers round pool and beach to go round. The hotel provides towels for the pool and beach and we only managed to get towels on 2 days out of 13. We asked numerous times when the towels were due but they never arrived. Good job we took our own as back up.

Didn't get to sample much of the evening entertainment but every night a man did sing to the restaurant from the pool area and I believe a few cabaret nights were held each week. We were subjected to 1 cabaret night as we wanted to try the food but we didn't stay long as the sight of 3 half naked girls dancing to Robbie Williams scared us not to mention put us off our food. Saying that the other guests seemed to enjoy.

Building work is going on right next door and our room was facing the new build. In the 2 weeks we were at the hotel we were amazed by how much the building had taken shape and it looked almost finished. This will be another hotel and looks like it will be worth a visit. We didn't hear much noise from the building site as our doors were always closed. On the occasions we sat on the balcony, we did hear diggers etc but we soon forgot about it

Overall, a good hotel for a beach/pool holiday

I enjoyed a wonderful week here with my wife and two teenage daughters in July. The hotels location is excellent, right on the beach a surrounded by mountains that were used in the film ‘The Guns of Navarone’

All the rooms are very good, clean, and modern with splendid sea view and cleaned to a high standard daily.

The real special quality of this hotel though is the staff, especially Anna on reception who is extremely accommodating and pleasant and Pannos the Restaurant Manager who is so entertaining he outshines the cabaret.

Food is good, excellent choice for Breakfast and Dinner; I would recommend the half board option as it present excellent value for money with plenty of choice.

The only disappointment with this hotel are some of the guests, although we met some very likable people on this holiday, I don’t know if its because this is quite an exclusive place to stay, but it does attract certain individuals who I think believe ‘Desperate Housewives’ is a documentary! Can be very entertaining watching some of their antics though.

A great place to stay and I will defiantly be returning.

My parents discovered this hotel the first year it was built, and loved it so much they went back later on that season, and have returned every year since. I have been for the past 4 years, and love the relaxed yet luxurious feel of the place. Having been so often, we now know all of the staff and receive such a big welcome every year that it has become a bit of a home away from home.

The setting itself is perfect - being just out of the town means it is very peaceful and relaxing. Having it's own private beach is a bonus too. As it is such a small hotel, you are always guaranteed space around the pool/ sun loungers etc.

The staff are really friendly and can't do enough for you, from the porters to the catering staff. The service is excellent.

Rooms are cleaned every day and every one we have stayed in has had great views.

The restaurant food is excellent, with a huge range of breakfast foods. We usually go half board as the evening meals are on a par with any restaurant - there usually 3 choices for each course every night, and full waiter service.

Overall, a brilliant hotel, which is excellently run. Perfect for a totally relaxing sunshine break.

Lindos Memories is really more of a value luxury hotel than a true luxury hotel. Does that make any sense? For the price it is a great place to stay and there are no serious flaws, but it is lacking in several respects. Some positives and negatives follow to illustrate.

POSITIVES (overall worth a stay):

* Clean rooms with modern bathrooms. The beroom decor is not as tacky (in my opinion) as it appears on the website. For example, our bedding was all white rather than the blue patterened stuff shown on the website. Furniture was in good taste, but I'm not sure what is with the huge wall mirror though.

* Nice big pool with deep end and interesting shape. The water was very cool in temperature, but it was welcome after lounging in the heat.

* Nice beach. The sand is fine and the water is clear and shallow with some interesting rocky reef-like areas and fish. There were beach chairs and umbrellas set up for guests of the hotel, and the beach was private.

* Breakfast was good. They had a lot of options and most everything was tasty.

* BBQ night was fun. The food this night was buffet style which allowed us to try a lot of different dishes and eat more of what was good. The Greek dancers were also entertaining (though I've seen better in the U.S.) and the kids at the resort really had a fun time dancing.

* Other amenities on site were good. There is a small gym with new equipment, a game room with pool table and air hockey, a convienence store, and a nice bar.

NEGATIVES (shortcomings):

* The location was just OK. The beautiful sea view and rocky bluffs are somewhat offset by the construction of another hotel next door and the desert-like entrance to the hotel.

* Other than BBQ night, the musical entertainment was laughable and too loud to be escaped. I was so happy when the "talent" sang Greek songs because at least then I could not tell just how badly the song was being butchered.

* Other than breakfast and BBQ night, the food was pretty awful. Lunch food was nearly unbearable. Stay away from anything other than the gyro and souvlaki. Lindos has a lot of other options for dinner, though you must drive there (or take a long walk).

* Towels for the pool were never available when people started going there in the morning. One time, the towels were delivered late as usual and damp. It was obvious they had just been washed and were not fully dry.

* We were greeted with a fruit plate which was nice. We were also given a warm bottle of white wine which was not so nice.

We had a very pleasant three day stay at this luxury class hotel just recently. The hotel has all the amenities one comes to expect from such a hotel. The premises and rooms where kept in excellent condition and the only slight discontent we had was that the "look" of the hotel is a bit generic for our taste. On the plus side, the staff is very attentive and friendly. The hotel has its own (quiet & beautiful) beach, pools, a restaurant, bar, convenience store, etc., which makes it self-contained/self-sufficient. As for personal preference, I wish the hotel would have been closer (say, walking-distance) to Lindos town - I guess the benefit of its distance is that it is quiet, and Lindos town can still be easily reached by taxi cab. Definitely a nice spot to relax at the beach and have all sorts of high-end "creature comforts" in easy reach.
