“Amazing wedding and fantastic holiday”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 June 2014

We recently returned from the Atrium palace. We have so many positive things to say about this beautiful hotel. We decided to have our wedding at the Atrium palace after exchanging emails with the fantastic Agata Slowik (the wedding & sales executive at Atrium) 2 years before. Agata made our day stress free and well organised, she decorated the venue to our requirements and it looked absolutely fantastic. She was always available to talk to us and remained at the wedding right up until midnight to ensure that we were happy with everything. My bridesmaids and I had our make up and hair done in the spa and the ladies there were lovely and whenever we saw them after the wedding they would always stop to talk to us.

The ceremony took place in the grounds of the hotel at the front of Asterias restaurant, we then had the reception at Asterias and had wonderful food, the staff there were friendly and nothing was a problem, all of our guests enjoyed the food, drinks and wedding cake.

We had a sea view room, which was lovely and we were very happy with it. Agata then very kindly upgraded us to a villa with a private pool, this made our stay even more enjoyable and relaxing.

The hotel itself is also fantastic with the most polite, attentive and friendly staff. Manolis (our evening waiter), barman at the pool bar, reception staff, George (bell boy). There are too many to mention. The hotel is clean and beautiful, with lovely pools, plants and flowers. The food is plentiful and delicious and we never had a bad meal. We ate out a couple of times at Milos and Movida (just across the road from the hotel)

We visited Lindos a few times, to meet up with family and friends and to visit the town hall. A taxi from the hotel cost 14 Euros and 9 Euros from Lindos square back to the hotel.

On our last night we ate at Asterias and had another outstanding meal, it was a perfect end to a memorable holiday that we will never forget.

Thank you to all of the staff that made our stay and wedding so magical and memorable.

I stayed at The Atrium Palace in early July and it was truly a wonderful stay! The hotel itself is very beautiful (I can see why people have their weddings here). The room was great; clean, very spacious and had it's own pool, which was amazing. The food was lovely, lots of choice and if you choose to sit outside whilst dining, you can enjoy the view of the 2 beautiful pool areas (especially when the sun is setting). The staff were always very friendly and helpful. It's very close to Lindos, which is a beautiful place to visit, lots of restaurants, bars and a beautiful beach if you fancy a change of scenery.
All in all, a fantastic hotel and one I would definitely recommend!

I stayed in this hotel with my two friends, we had a beautiful room with our own private pool and was welcomed with the friendly reception staff and champagne and fruit. The room was clean and spacious, the reception staff were always exceptionally friendly and helpful, one night we came in and got a lift to our room in the golf buggy! All of the staff were friendly and had advice on where to go and sights to see.
The pools were very relaxing, we especially loved the infinity pool! It's a clean, friendly hotel for couples, families and young people! Overall we had a brilliant time and would definitely recommend this hotel!

OK, so I am going to start with the positives. This hotel has the best restaurant and front desk staff that I have ever encountered in all my travels and I travel a lot for business and vacations. Savvas and his team in the restaurant are a credit to this hotel - Pari and Maria always greeted us with a smile and were extremely attentive, we looked forward to our chats with them throughout the day. Savvas, the restaurant manager is beyond professional, the passion he has for his work is obvious for anyone to see and he is such an asset to the Atrium Palace. I cannot understand the poor reviews on the quality of the food, in our opinion it was fantastic, there was simply nothing to fault, we looked forward to every meal, which is high praise as when you are normally on an inclusive package you tend to gravitate towards "buffet hell" by around day 4 - this did not happen as the quality and variety was simply outstanding - it was the best food and service we have ever had on holiday. So onto the front desk staff...we requested a change of rooms on day 3, this was resolved within 20 minutes and we were moved to a family suite with no additional charge, again, the service we received was beyond our expectations. Everyone we encountered was super professional, from the bellboy to the hotel manager, all were outstanding in their approach. So now onto the less positive points.. the hotel is very dated and urgently needs a renovation. The rooms are tatty and very dark, particularly the ones outside of the main building. The public areas also need a facelift as they too are dated and are not in keeping with a 5 star rating. The rooms in the main building are very light and airy but are also reminiscent of a hotel room you would expect to see in the early 1980's. The cleaning staff also need to up their game as our floor was not cleaned for two days running and there was piles of dust in our wardrobes for our entire stay. In addition, I would suggest that the children's entertainment ceases at 9pm rather than 10pm, its really irritating to have to listen to children's songs in the main bar whilst sipping on a Pina Colada. So it has been hard to rate this hotel as the service, food and the staff are way beyond excellent, they are a true asset to the Atrium hotel group and I cannot praise them highly enough. However it's all about the entire experience and the excellence we observed in other areas does not follow through to the accommodation. I would rate this hotel 3 star in terms of accommodation/aesthetic appeal but 6 stars in terms of service, staff and food. I do hope that the Atrium group invest money in this hotel and do the necessary renovations as they have such a great team of staff it would be a shame to let them down on things that could so easily be resolved. The staff, food and service would definitely tempt me back but unfortunately the general hotel/accommodation would keep me away.

Room Tip: Try to get a room in the main building.

Just returned after 10 days at the Atrium Palace. We were a large family party there for my daughters wedding, which went very well. The hotel was very good, we had a variety of rooms ranging from the basic to villas and all were fine. The restaurant served a good variety of food so there should be something to suit everyone. The staff were very good, helpful and friendly. Particular thanks to restaurant manager (who does a great traditional Greek dance) and our dinner waiter Konstantinos Stainert who looked after our group very well. The bar staff and waiters also looked after us very well while we watched the evening entertainment which varied in quality, but was mostly enjoyable.

We were fortunate with the weather and the fact that the hotel was far from full, there was always plenty of room around the pool, but that might be different at peak times.

Not much to see around the hotel so we hired a car for a couple of days to enjoy the island, lots of nice places to see.

We booked all inclusive with Thomas Cook (I haven't got anything good to say about their performance) but that's not the fault of the hotel.

Two things to be wary of. The all inclusive package ends at midnight. I found that out when we arrived after midnight due to Thomas Cooks flight delay and had to spend 30 euros for a round of drinks for a thirsty and tired group of people. Not a good start.

The other thing to note is that ice cream for the kids isn't included. That one really annoyed me as we had four under 7s in our party. Apparently ice cream is only included between 5 & 6 pm and at meal times as a sweet. That is not good enough and they need to change that. I tried to get the Thomas Cook rep (who I finally tracked down after 3 days) to sort that out but that was a waste of time.

Just returned back from a few day away at the Atrium. Arrived late the first night, too late for food, even though they offered room service between 2300-0700, the kitchen was closed. We booked a sea view room but by the morning we'd unpacked to see this isn't what we got. The room was nice, small but always very clean and restocked everyday. Only main issue that when we asked of an iron, we were turned down & told again this wasn't available.
The hotel & staff on the other hand was lovely, staff could do enough for you, we had buffet breakfast every morning, and there was plenty of things to chose from, and enjoyable.
Most evenings we ventured out and found some fantastic restaurants with amazing food & service. The bar in the evening has a great atmosphere & superb staff, especially Litsa who looked after us very well.
The reception staff were fantastic and every helpful with all questions & directions..Chantale couldn't have done any more for us.
I would recommend this hotel over & over again. And will be returning to more Greek Islands because of how well we were treated the whole time.
