“Fanatatic hotel for your wedding”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 July 2010

We have just returned from 2 weeks at this hotel where we got married. What can I say, we didn't want to come home. I've never been too such a nice hotel. All the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. We only have one problem; we had booked as a group being as it was for our wedding and requested our rooms be next to each other. However two rooms were put in a completely different building. So we complained to the reception and after 2 nights they managed to move one of the rooms closer and they even upgraded them into a Junior suite. Otherwise we couldn't fault the service we received. We spent a lot of our holiday just chilling around the pool, and the staff at the Amphibion pool bar were absolutely great. Pani (the main guy incharge) was so friendly and entertaining. He really did make our time one we won't forget. So thank you Pani. We would also like to say a special thanks to Nicola (the wedding co-ordinator) and Christine (Thomas cook wedding rep) - they did so much to help and without them we would have been lost. We got married infront of the hotels a la carte restaurant (Asterias) which was an absolutely beautiful setting. Then we had an hours boat cruise to Lindos (which was great and I would definately recommend) and held our wedding reception at Mythos restaurant in Lindos. All in all, this hotel supassed our expectations and made our special day truly unforgetable. We can't wait to return next year!

We stayed at the hotel Atrium Palace in Kalathos Rhodes in June 2010. What can i say from the time we arrived at the hotel reception we were greated by the reception staff who were kind and helpful. We got married at St Pauls bay Lindos so our stay at the hotel was also our honeymoon. We were greated by a bottle of wine with fruit and flowers and were ever so lucky to get upgraded to the double with private pool. The food was amazing from local greek specialities to your full english breakfast and if there was a night you did not fancy a single thing the head chef was willing to make things at your full request. My most thanks go to Nicola the wedding planner at the hotel she was one of the most amazing people i have ever come across she gave myself and my husband the most amazing day ever!!!!!! She is a great asset to the hotel and i wish her the very best in everything that she does. Everyone who attended the wedding had the most amazing, enjoyable time. From start to finish she listend fully to my requests and made my dreams come true (she even added a few lovelly surprises to my long endless list). The champagne reception and the evening reception with the greek buffet meal what can i say the staff were the best. The sevice this hotel provides is second to none they definatly deserve the 5* rating they hold and i wish every single staff member from manager to cleaning staff the very very best. I look forward to meeting you all again next year for our 1st year anniversary.

The now wife & I chose this location for our recent wedding. The hotel is fantastic as were the staff, and fully what you would expect of a 5* place in Greece. Grounds & facilities were very impressive. We went on a HB basis - breakfeasts were splendid. Then we chose from either having a lunch or evening meal. Choice was impressive, but with the demands of mass catering, lost that little bit of freshness & quality. Would recommend going on a B&B basis, so that you can then have the choice of where you eat your lunch or evening meal, whether it be at the hotel, a couple of restaurants nearby, or into Lindos.
Yes, it is a little isolated, but there is everything that you need close by, and with the ease of taxis/buses/car hire, the whole island is easily accessible.
We married in the hotel grounds at the A la Carte restaurant "le Astrerias" - we tested the food out on a couple of nights prior to the wedding and this and the service was of the highest standard and would compete with like premises in London/New York etc etc.
Both Nicola (hotel weddding coordinator) and Christine (Thomas Cook wedding rep) went beyond what you would expect of their services to make our day the most wonderful day ever. Every query that you would ever have about getting married abroad was dealt with without any trouble and they both ensured all the vital things (flowers/decorations/music/cake/photos etc etc etc) were sorted without the need for us to worry - we just sat back and chilled by the pools in the beautiful grounds! Wedding food was just amazing.
Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff that we dealt with. and all were very cheerful & polite.
We will be back!!

We spent our holiday in Atrium Palace at Kalathos Beach, Lindos.
We had a very good holiday, it's very clean, the personnel is very available and kind, the seaside is perfect.
The only weak spot is the food, that is nothing special, but maybe we are too much exigent being Italian, however in front of the hotel there is a very good and cheap restaurant.

I travelled to this hotel with my mother for a relaxing week in the sun. We arrived and were upgraded to a room with a pool shared by three other rooms - Excellent!
The only downside to our room was the beds!! They were so hard they gave both my mother and I terrible nights sleep all week. A real shame as we really needed the rest! We did mention this the morning of our last day and was told they would change the mattresses - but it was to late - our fault!!
We stayed B&B - the breakfast was vast - with every type of food for every taste imaginable. We soon learnt where to sit at breakfast to ensure the coffee was continually topped up - service in the restaurant is variable, but pleasant all round.
We were told by our tour operator that there would be plenty of places to eat at night - this is not the case and if you want a holiday where you can stroll along to bars/restaurants at night this is not the hotel for you - its in the middle of no-where and as others have quoted the taxi to Lindos is 14Euros out and 9Euros back. Therefore we ate at the restaurant in the Hotel most nights, which was 16 Euros for unlimited buffet - again vast and every choice catered for.
We spent our days relaxing by the pool and there were always plenty of beds and towels available. The pool areas are spotlessly clean and tidy and the gardens well kept.
The beach was a big disappointment - very stony and shaley so we didn't go there at all. We didn't go on holiday for entertainment but there was a kid's disco at 9pm every night and some sort of entertainment every night - Il Divo tribute and the most shocking Tina Turner tribute I've ever seen!!
All in all I liked this hotel. It was more than we expected and we had a lovely time - however getting into my bed when we got home was total bliss!!!!

Although this hotel was just outside the tourist mecca of Lindos, don't let that put you off starying there. There is nothing between the hotel it's self and the vast pebble beach of Kalathos, it has all you would need for a relaxing holiday, lawns, pools, bars, restaurants, and if you are inclined, activities during the day and entertainment in the evening. Compared to the surrounding standard fare of virtually all Greek islands this really is a little gem of Luxuary. The "best of the rest" including Lindos, just dosen't compare. We travelled without children but there were some little ones there and all seemed to be having a lovely time in the child friendly largest pool, there are also "dry" play areas with swings, climbing frames etc.
The food in all the restaurants was excellent, from A'la Carte overlooking the lawns and beach to the poolside cafe, every meal we had was better that expected and comparable in price (but superior in quality) to all the restaruants within walking distance of the hotel, with one exception, Konstantin's cafe and restaurant, it had a huge choice of excellent dishes, well prepared, good quality and attentive staff. The only reason to venture outside the hotel for food at all.
The included breakfast was good if not predictable. Always lots of fresh and dried fruit, hot and cold meats and freshly cooked omelettes, salads and more. But it rarely changed, although i would be hard pushed to suggest anything they didn't have!!
One point, just as personal preference, the bed in our room (184) was Really Hard!. My husband didn't see this as a problem but I folded up the extra blankets under the bottom sheet on my side just to add a bit of padding. The maid continued to make the bed up in this way (she may have seen this before!) every morning, so problem solved.
If you are looking for a bit of quality and you were looking to stay in Lindos, then give this hotel your consideration because there is nothing of this calibre in the area.
