I never normally visit the same hotel twice, but I had to with this hotel! Its so traditional and Greek which is rare these days as most hotels cater for the English too much with bingo and quizzes and karaoke nights...Its set about 20 minutes out of the main town of Lindos, which I think is a perfect walking distance and means the hotel is quiet with no noise from the main town. The breakfast is the same each day but there is a fantastic selection of fresh food, whether you want cereal, pastries, cooked breakfast, bread, ham and cheese, fruit, greek yoghurt... it has the whole lot! My partner and I only ate at the hotel once for our evening meal on the bbq night and this was fantastic, again a great selection of meat and salads all cook outside for you to watch which was nice. We ate in Lindos as the rooftop restaurants are breath taking and didn't want to miss out on these fantastic meals each evening. The pool bar is great and has a good selection of lunchtime snacks, ice creams and drinks and is run by 2 girls. It can get busy around 2pm as all the food is freshly made and this is a lot of work for the girls on there own so there might be a wait for your dinner! The pool bar food is charged to your room, I would recommend paying this off at reception each morning as it may come as a bit of a shock on the last day! We clocked up about 50 euro a day on food drink and ice cream! The rooms are spotless clean and very basic, but just what we needed. The maids come in every day to clean the rooms. Air conditioning is included in the price which is a god send! The pool is beautiful and kept extremely clean, as are all the gardens. This hotel is aimed at couples which means lying round the pool there are no screaming kids jumping in its the most peaceful hotel I've ever visited! I would definitely visit for a third time as I think ill find another hotel that will top this!! Thank you once again for another fantastic holiday!

Room Tip: We had 412 both times we stayed as we requested it!

We stayed at this lovely hotel in early August. We had never been to Rhodes before and decided to stay in Lindos.
The hotel was spotlessly clean. Our room was at the back of the hotel and we had a view of the mountain, we would have prefered to have a sea view but we spent little time there anyway it wasn't a problem to us. Air con was free... it is a must as temperatures when we stayed were in the 40s. All staff were very friendly and welcoming . Food was delicious there was a varied menu which was different every day.
Lindos centre was a 15 minute walk from the hotel and we had no problem with this. The town was a maze of winding streets lined with shops ...very pretty, however we did manage to get lost a couple of times!
There is a bus that picks up right outside the hotel and goes to Rhodes town which was well worth a visit. Also the bus went in the opposite direction to Pefkos only a 10 minute ride away. We loved Pefkos beach and the snorkling was brilliant too.
We had a lovely break and chilled out completely.
If you have booked this hotel you are in for a treat and will not be disappointed. Happy Holiday!!!

Have just returned from a beautiful wedding in Lindos where we stayed for 14 nights at the Lindos Sun Hotel. The hotel was very comfortable and relaxed, rooms basic but airy and light. Air con is included in the price of the hotel so no surprises when you arrive. The surrounding gardens are lovely and typically Greek, if you favour marble floors and large areas this is not for you, for those who prefer a smaller, prettier and altogether more personal accommodation this is what you will find. The downside of this lovely hotel is that it is approximately 25 minutes walk to the shops in Lindos Town. Not a long walk but tiresome in the heat or if you just want to nip out for something as there are no other shops or tavernas close by. Food was very tasty and quite varied, my only negative comment is that I would prefer to see all dishes covered with a lid, only the main dishes were covered like this, the others were just partially covered. Cannot fault the staff at all, lovely girls who were all willing to help make your holiday special. You will not be disappointed.

My wife and I stayed here for two weeks in 2012 Sept. thro. to Oct.We were with two friends who had been to Greece before. The hotel is family run.Very well run. ALL the staff were happy to talk and listen to us. The hotel was spotless.the food 1st class. We stayed full board and all the meals were very good with a wide choice. the rooms were basic but very clean.and were cleaned everyday. The new pool and bar were a delight to use and the surrounding area was clean and peaceful. The young owner was a lovely lady was very helpful and was able to answer all our queries and arrange car hire.A Must when you stay in Lindos. There are so many great places to visit. You will love it. Bon-Voage. J.J.

My wife and I have just came home from a weeks stay at The Lindos Sun .... And already we wish we were going back ! Its a lovely hotel with a relaxed and chilled out atmosphere , and the perfect place to lay back read a book or two and recharge your batteries . The rooms are basic but don't let that put you off , they are spotlessly clean , you don't need anymore than whats provided and you certainly don't need a tv in your room , just the aircon ! The food is very good , breakfast and evening meals are varied and very tasty , you can either eat in the dining room or outside on the terrace . The staff are all very helpful and always have a smile for you ( little things cost nothing ) and make you feel very welcome . Lindos sun is located about a mile from Lindos town and its a good walk up the hill to get there , if you do it during the day beware of the heat , its roasting hot so a bottle of water and high factor is required ! The town itself is beautiful , a myriad of little streets lined with shops bars and restaurants , take a walk up the acropolis the views are amazing and its well worth the effort ! My wife and I had room 321 , with a very nice sea view , and stayed on a half board basis , the holiday was booked through monarch , no problems there either . Finally ... would we go back ? yes without a doubt , we met a nice couple from Liverpool , Pete and Jackie , and they thought the same as us , this place is a gem ! If you are thinking about booking this hotel , do it , you will not be disappointed ..... but watch the sun ! during the day its in the 40s and at night it was still 36 .... when its was dark ! so be careful ! all in all a great holiday , a great hotel and a beautiful town , Lindos is a must !

Just spent second week of August 2013 at the Lindos Sun, It is about a mile from Lindos town, which is a beautiful place, a pleasent walk if not a bit tiring in the heat, a taxi back from the town is about 6 Euros. The hotel itself is a gem, really pleasent, polite and cheerful staff, the pool is brilliant, no problems with sunbeds or area as most of the Italians/French go to the beach. Not a lot for children though, so if your after quiet, relaxing this is great. The food is excellent, one bit of advice try to avoid the bedrooms above the dining room/kitchen as the noise first thing in the morning can be a bit much, I suggest rooms 321/421/320/420. Other then that a fantastic holiday and one I would truly recommend.

We spent several nights in early August 2013 Here. We were overall very happy with the hotel. It was a very nice hotel with a very traditional Greek feel to it but modern and clean at the same time.

The rooms were fairly simple but very nice. They were clean and well-kept. We had a small balcony overlooking the pool and the sea about 500 yards away.

We had breakfast and dinner included in our package and they were both good. There was a decent variety and the food was good.

The pool was very nice kept up and clean and not too busy and there was always cares for us. It had a gorgeous view of the mountains in the ocean. The only downside I would say and think it would make vast improvements would be removing the Ratty chain-link fence and replacing with something a little nicer you could see into the ocean through. I think this would be the only real negative I had about the place and the minor one at that.

The staff was fine, not overly friendly and helpful but there was no issues with them.

The location of the hotel was nice but I think without having the rental car at hand we would've been able to do far less in the area as it is a substantial walk especially in the heat into the town itself. There is a small beach located nearby but it is a substantial walk and is somewhat rocky and not the nicest beach. The beaches is in town are far nicer but again would be a bit of a walk in the heat.

Overall I was very happy with the place; the location was good, the hotel and pool were beautiful, and for the price we paid I was very satisfied with this hotel.
