Booked a one night stay here at the last minute. On the surface everything is great, but when we scratched the surface a bit we weren't so impressed. Our room was very clean and quite comfortable. Our first room was right next to the elevator shaft and was very noisy so we moved to another room which was very quiet. The buffet dinner was quite disappointing. There's a great range of food but the quality of it wasn't great. The swimming pool is lovely, but there aren't very many sun loungers around the pool. The beach is right in front of the hotel which is great, and there are loads of sun loungers there. The spa and indoor pool look really nice, and my husband was excited about using the sauna. However, he was told there would be an additional 10euro charge to do so, so he decided against it. The staff did not seem very well trained - there wasn't a very pleasant vibe from them, and simple things that we asked about were treated like a big deal.

On the whole, I was happy with the hotel for 1 night, but think that if I'd stayed for much longer I would have been quite disappointed.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the elevator shaft.

lovely hotel shame about the location. Nothing to do and nowhere to go. Lindos is a walk away but very dangerous. Buses only go to Llndos or Rhodes. There is only one Taverna and one supermarket so there is no choice for an alternative. Staff were scarce, you had to find someone if you wanted another cup of coffee at breakfast although they were very friendly. Food was not befitting a 5 * hotel and was very repeditive and luke warm most of the time.

Room Tip: rooms at the front of the hotel get the sun pm

We were quite impressed with this hotel. We were greeted by a friendly receptionist who informed us of what we needed to know.

On getting to our room we had problems with the lights not working but this was soon rectified by a member of staff with no problems.

We did not pay for an upgrade to a seaview but the view we had of the mountains was alright and not unpleasent. The actual room itself was spacious with a TV, mini bar and balcony. Mini bar was quite expensive in comparison to the shop so beware. The room was cleaned everyday. The safe was 20 euro for 1 week, we did not need the aircon due to time of year so do not know how much that cost.

The selection at breakfast was great and a chef was on standby to make omeletes with your choosen filling. There was everything from cereal, fruit, continental and full cooked breakfasts with unlimited juices, tea and coffees. At an extra cost you could also have breakfast in bed.

During the day the hotel was fairly quiet. There were sun loungers around the pool and plenty on the beach. I did not venture into the water as it was too cold (wimp really) but my partner did and was not all that impressed with the snorkeling. But if your into your swimming you could get a good 2000 - 3000m swim along the beach and if your into triathlons even a run after giving you a good session. Lunch was at the adjacent restaurant but this was at an extra cost. Very nice though.. No entertainment throughout the day which is perfect if you want to relax and not have energetic people dashing round trying to get you involved in everything.

The selection of food in the evening was fairly large, catering for all tastes. Drinks were at an extra cost but if you did not drink all your wine/water at that sitting then you were able to take it the following evening.

There was some light musical entertainment in the evenings mostly easy listening, not head banging, was pleasent to listen to or sing along to. The hotel had a few events on during certain nights at extra cost we did not chose to join in with these but were informed that they were quite enjoyable.

We generally sat at the pool bar at night, drinks were reasonable but as a Thomas Cook guest we had a discount which made quite a difference.

Ok now the down side although the hotel was great the location was not too good. If you like walking then you have the opportunity to do plenty. Lindos is a good 2.5 - 3.5km away, there are regular buses or taxis. To walk it takes about 45 - 55min, I walk slow. You have to walk on the road and can be a bit dangerous so you need to be wary of the traffic. We hired a car for 3 days which is ample time to get you round the island and is recommended.

To sum up our holiday, the hotel was lovely the location was not ideal. Would we visit again? Probably not due to its location but we would stay at another mareblue hotel.

Just back from 4 days at this hotel on HB basis.
Hotel is lovely, decoration nice, very clean rooms modern and very clean and staff were very courteous the whole stay.
Food - there was lots of choice available at every meal, we swapped dinner for lunch a couple of days and this was great as the lunch restaurant is on the beach so made a nice change, the greek salad and calamari are amazing!
Location - very quiet location with shingle stony beach - a few minutes walk to the right and sand is much better, a few minutes walk to the left and you can lie on the rocks and fantastic snorkelling to be done!
Lots of older guests in the hotel - many from Germany. As not much to do in the evenings suits the elder clientele but we were hoping for even some piano or light entertainment.
Lindos is about 8-10 mins in taxi and cost 14euro there and 8 back - however there is quite a bit of free parking on outskirts so if you hire car this is cheaper.

In Lindos the acropolyse restaurant food is amazing and very reasonable - also the English bar PALS is great fun for nights out

All in all a lovely hotel but having been on AI trips to the island i would have to say the HB option is expensive as no drinks are included with lunch or dinner and a vodka and coke at the bar was 4.50 euro - and only 2.50 in Lindos.

After reading all reviews me and my huband have decided to go to Lindos for our honeymoon; Lindos Bay was a perfect choice! its a beautiful hotel located outside Lindos village. The hotel is ideal for couples and people who wants to relax. There isnt much of entertainment so If you a re looking for a crazy weekend you would need to find another hotel. The food was excellent, great choice every day. It is a half board hotel so breakfats and dinner is included, you can also swap dinner for lunch if you are out in the evening. If you want to go to Lindos then you can take a bus from outside the hotel or you can take a taxi (it costs £12 euros to get to and £8 to get back to hotel). Lindos itself is amazing! beautfil village with lots of shops, markets and evening entertainment. There is lots of english pubs and bars which we were avoiding but you can find greek tavernas on every corner.
