Another lovely week at the Lambis.. The rooms are cleaned every day, supplying fresh linen and towels. The views are to die for! The garden is something else! The gardener is always around tending to there beautiful gardens. Everything is looked after and it shows. The pool is very clean and spending a day or two next to it is very relaxing. The food is great and well priced.
There are lots of sun beds and plenty to go around. Try a Alpha beer from a frozen beer glass its GREAT!
This was our second stay here after it was suggested to us by family and friends last year. ChristIna behind the bar will bend over backwards to cater for you. Her English is great and will tell you all of the best places to visit in Rhodes.

We will no doubt be returning to the Lambis next year. I think we have caught the Bug!

After reading many good reviews on Trip Advisor decided to give this reasonably priced package holiday staying at Lambis a try. The hotel was fairly quiet as out of school holidays (end of Sept when we went) only couples and families with small children.

The Lambis has a nice quiet pool area with plenty of sun beds, small bar, pool tables & outside eating area if don't want to go into town and play area for kids (although all concrete no grass). The rooms were good size - we managed to get a 4 person room (2 single beds & sofa-bed) on our deal for just 2 of us, so plenty of space - also had adequate kitchenette (2 rings, toaster, fridge & all plates/pans/cutlery) & bathroom with bath & shower). Was TV in room but only 1 english speaking channel, showing news on a loop - no problem if going out every night but if stuck in with a small child take other entertainment.

Rooms were entered to empty bins most days and sometimes beds made or clean towels left but couldnt work out when this would happen - seemed a bit random. Also were told if room available could keep it on until 7pm day of departure for 20 Euros but none available - so we had to pack everything up for checkout at midday, leave suitcases in bar area, then wash/change in pool toilets after day on beach as no room with shower available.
On whole though rooms were kept clean & tidy and any problems sorted straight away.

Lambis is short walk from nearest supermarket which seemed to have most things. It is also not far from bus station, which not only has local buses going everywhere for reasonable fare but also where most coaches for excursions leave from. There is also free bus from this station that takes you both to Lindos square & beach and return.

Lambis is on top road of Lindos - both the beaches & town are at the bottom - so expect a walk up and down steep hill to get anywhere. You can however get the free bus, taxi or donkey if really can't be bothered to walk and we saw plenty of people in wheelchairs/mobility scooters so not impossible to get around. By the end of the week however i was fed up of climbing up and down the hill to get anywhere and vowed if i came back to stay in one of the apartments in lindos town.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for somewhere maybe bit quieter than hotel down the road Lindos View, which seemed bit rowdier. No Kareoke, theme nights or loud music by the pool at Lambis. It is however a free pool, which means people from apartments nearby can use pool if they buy drinks etc.

Enjoyed it for a week but that was long enough - only problem was the balcony always seemed to be in the shade, afternoon sun was best out the back of the apartments - seems like rooms were built wrong way round.

We visited these self-catering studios through Kosmar in May 2008 and found the whole experience to be brilliant. We'd never been to Lindos before and chose these apartments on the basis of the good previous reviews on this site, which were all really good.

I'd have to say that we'd have trouble faulting the apartments or the resort, both were fab. We prefer self-catering as it gives you a bit more freedom to do what you want, there is a bar by the pool if you want a drink or snack and a local shop which is a bit closer than Lindos centre. It is true that it's a bit of a walk into town, although no more than ten minutes (but obviously not so good if you have trouble walking).

The apartments were spotless, with modern, clean, fresh decor and large rooms. The only thing I would say is that the drain got blocked a couple of times I was in the bath and the bathroom got flooded, so drain the bath slowly! A shower curtain also only appeared a second week into our stay bizarrely so we had a pretty wet bathroom in the meantime but I think they've put these in all the rooms now.

We went for the second and third week in May and for the first week, although it was lovely and hot during the day, it was quite chilly and windy at night and we were glad for the jackets we'd worn for the plane. It was also quite quiet for the first week as the season hadn't really started, so we'd recommend going after the second week of May.

All in all, the apartments were really good value for money, they were basic but really clean and the cleaner comes in regularly. It also had a double bed which was nice as in a lot of places in Greece you only get two singles pushed together. It was really quiet as was set back from town and the immediate surrounding areas around the apartments were lovely too, somebody obviously takes great pride in gardening!

Lindos itself was also really lovely. We visited all three beaches, the smallest of which we didn't return to as it was quite a way down and there seemed to be gypsies or something camping in the surrounding area! The other two were fantastic though, with good snorkelling and beach bars, although we were paying about ten euros a day on sunbeds so we did spend a few days by the pool, which was always quite quiet and the pool is nice.

Our favourite restaurants were Dionyssos, Brocollini (a really good Italian which is a bit out of the main streets but worth it with lovely views) and Stephanie's to name a few. We ate out every night but one and everywhere was nice. We tend to go for local cuisine, there was really good fresh fish and local dishes, and the usual English dishes if you wanted that.

All in all, it was a really good holiday, and we will definitely be going back at some point. I'd recommend it to anyone.

My husband and I stayed at the Lambis for a week in mid July after booking a last minute deal through First Choice. We are 25 and 26 and found Lindos to be perfect for us. We like a dance and a few drinks at night but nothing too clubby and Lindos was the ideal location.

The Lambis apartments were amazing. Very spacious and clean, the bathroom has a huge mirror the size of the wall but watch out for the extra long shower curtain! We had a few slips and tumbles as the bath is quite narrow but amazing that we had a bath in the first place haha! There is adequate self catering equpment and a great big dressing table and mirror and a TV with a few English channels. Also, the balconies are large and so lovely to sit and look at the view whilst having a few drinks before going out. There are LOTS of cats that come to say hello and we didn't mind that and gave them all names. Our fave was James haha! The cats at hotels are usually well fed but around Lindos there are so many strays. Not nice for people who don't like cats but I loved saying hello to them all! Anyway, the gardens are beautiful and well kept and the pool is lovely and plenty of sunbeds. Other peoples reviews have commented on the barman at night and I have to say that he drove us a bit mad with his unhelpfulness and constant shouting! He kind of grunts instead of talking it was quite odd but thats only our opinion. The rest of the staff were lovely and there is a great bbq they put on on a Sunday which is great value for money. The food by the pool is also fab and good value.

As Lambis is on Krana Hill out of Lindos there is a 10 min (depending on fitness) walk down to the village but the walk is sooo lovely. The hill on the way into the village is quite steep but you can get a taxi back no probs for 4 euros. The restaurants are ALL FANTASTIC but Stefany's was our favourite. Another great great place is Medeast which is on the hill on the way in. There's just too many places to choose from! The rooftop terraces are just out of this world. We met a few people on holiday and tended to go to these bars the most: The Courtyard Bar, Yannis Bar, Ikon Bar , Antika and Lindos By Night. We also went to The Rainbird Cafe for post beach cocktails and the view was prob the best we saw and the bar is also very very pretty! All of Lindos and it's little cobbled alleyways is really pretty and the people are lovely. The ONLY negative thing I would say is that it is quite expensive and not just with the euro. But it was worth it cos we had an awesome holiday and would def go back.

Oh one more thing is car hire. We hired an open top 4x4 from Rodos Car Hire for 60 euros and was so much fun. Their service was superb and the cheapest we could find.

Sorry this is very long I just loved it so much. Feel free to ask any questions!

We booked a week at Lambis Studios based on the quality of the reviews here. (There are also the Lambis Apartments in the village of Lindos....don't get these confused...they are totally different.) We were not disappointed with the Lambis Studios. The apartments are indeed of superb quality, spacious, with lots of useful little extras (all utensils, kettle, toaster, tea towel, sponge, washing up liquid, hair dryer, etc.) The pool is clean and large, the poolside bar and eating area is fine. You really could not expect more from a self catering apartment. The gardens surrounding the studios are beautifully tended, and provide a very exotic setting. Be in no doubt, this is VERY good value at the price we paid (£370 from East Midlands (UK) to Rhodes, including transfers) from First Choice in high season 2008.
We have no regrets as we used Lambis Studios as a base to explore other parts of Rhodes with a hire car for the week. However, we might have felt it was a bit too desolate and far away if we hadn't had the car. If you want to hire, use Rodos Car Hire: An air-conned Fiat Panda delivered to the Studios is 175 euros for 5 days. The rep, of course, will charge more. Rodos has an office in the village. Just ask people for directions.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, but our recommendation also includes a few notes below which might help you decide whether this is for you or not.
Firstly, the location of the studios, which are NOT in Lindos village.
Lindos village itself is in a hollow, sandwiched below a high mountain on the coast side, which is topped by the famous Acropolis, and on the other side, the cliff, the coast road, and then in a large horseshoe shape, is the hotels and apartment resort itself, surrounded almost completely by high barren rocky hillsides. The Lambis Studios are right at the back of this 'horseshoe shaped' resort, ie furthest from the village. Due to recent extensions of the studios, very few of the apartments actually have a view of the famous acropolis now.
ALL the hotels and apartments in the resort are recently built from modern white painted concrete, with scrubland in between. You are NOT in prettty Lindos village, and it is a TREK to get there, whether in the cool of the evening or, god forbid you don't try it like we did, in the heat of the midday sun. Just don't!
There are Mercedes taxis in the village which will get you back to the apartment for 4 euros, but you have to be fit to walk it except at night. If you visit Lindos village, you will find it is all narrow pedestrianised alleyways, very quaint, lots of places for a drink, a good meal, or souvenirs. If you're not silly with your money, you will find a good value meal at many of the restaurants. After about 10pm the village becomes lit up (club-like), with lots of bars turning up the music varying from trad Greek to Rave. So, best time for a quiet drink: 4pm to 7pm, best time to eat: 7pm to 10pm, best time to keep drinking but not to take granny: 10ish onwards.
The quickest and shortest way to the village is: leave the apartments and walk along the road to the right. At the end of the road, you will meet the coast road. Walk to your left, along the coast road footpath, going in front of the Lindos View Hotel, until you reach the 2 big car parks adjacent to the Flora Supermarket. (10 mins so far) The staff here are helpful and friendly, and are open from early morning til late. Carefully cross the road to the car park/coach park where people leave their vehicles before walking down the steep hill into Lindos. (about another 10 mins).
The second thing is noise.
At night, some of the hotels hold a Karaoke competition a couple of times each week, or turn their music up. It's not really bad, but due to the crescent shape of the surrounding hils, the noise reverberates around the hillsides, and unless you are out (!) or shut your windows, this WILL keep you awake. And it seems as though each bar turns up its own music to drown out the other 2 or 3. Likewise, noise from families (just normal kiddie noise, plus the occasional revellers) does tend to carry. For the first 2 nights we had the patio door open, and had a peaceful night after midnight, but on the 3rd night we had to pay for the aircon unit just so that we could shut the windows to shut out the noise and get some sleep as the karaoke at another hotel was still going after 3am. The aircon is 10euros per night, or 50 for the week, so you might as well do it straight away.
The guests we came across were considerate and were, like us, after a quiet, pleasant holiday, and it was a very pleasant atmosphere. Christiana, behind the bar during the mornings and most of the afternoon, was very helpful, especially pointing us in the direction of the Car Hire company.
If you do hire a car, then try eating out in Pefkos, Lardos vllage, and further afield inland, Psinthos. Go into the mountains for a trip to see village life, and try the smaller bays for a different beach day. I won't tell you of our wonderful find, cos I want to keep it to myself, but if you're of a mind to search, you will find some lovely beaches.
As regards First Choice, the flight was redirected to Thompsons at East Midlands, so FC were of no help. And they charged me £30 to pick my own tickets up at the airport when their desk was closed and they weren't even there to give me them. Shocking. The coach transfers in Rhodes were fast and comfortable. We did not go on any excursions with First Choice as they were far too expensive compared to local prices. Flights were fine.
Recommended, and an excellent holiday all in, but do bear in mind the above notes if you considering booking.

I have just arrived back from 2 weeks stay in the Lambis Apartments above Lindos. Just to let you know I have been to many locations in Greece and I found Lambis rooms very spacious and clean. The cleaning staff and gardener were very helpful. The overall facilty I found poor, the walk up to the appatrments was hard work the hill leading from Lindos to the facility was about a 1/10 graduate and was hard work, to cap it you have a 100yard climb to your room up a steep slope and then stairs up to your apartment it kills you.
The one bar staff in the day was freindly enough but the 1 bar staff in the evening was a joke. Coming from Alabania he seemed to be a Random Number Generator for the bar bills, making sure you pay for his drinks and ice creams he helped himself to. Then there is the aspect of Health and Saftey around the pool NO DIVING it says watch out for the flying kids then, and no support from the bar staff, There are many poeple staying in this facilty and the place gets locked up at night and the one member of staff goes home, so who do you call if you have an emergency the rep, sorry you cant they lock the phone away. We were there and there was an upset tenageer staying with her mum the friends we had there sorted it all out all the bar person could do is serve her free drinks and supply her cigerattes. Overall I think this accomadation is to far aware from the main resort and its a 20 minute walk down to the beach and 1 hour walk back up a montain sorry I meant hill. The manager of this resort is rude and likes collecting money at 2 in the morning he will no talk to you when he does arrive and is not willing to deal with any requests. They charge you 100 euros for air conditioning that you use for 3-4hrs a day. We had an horrendous flight home at 6.55 in the morning we were asked to leave our rooms at 12 am the previous day it was alwful waiting until 3.30 the mext morning to be picked up. Lindos is a lovely place spoilt by a rude bar person and arrogant manager. I feel its worth a day trip 2 weeks there is hard work.
