The yellow sand, is different from the rest of Rhodos beaches. You can't reach it by car! Its a walk from about 20 minutes from the big parking above. Once down, clear water and a nice quiet beach.

We went to the far right side of the beach where the trip boats come in rather than the main beach as it has some great restaurants to eat at especially the white beach shabby beach chic looking one in the middle, which also has really comfortable sunbeds. We spent the afternoon there and they brought us drinks and nibbles as requested and very reasonably priced - all very relaxing and pretty :)

What a view and clear water, did not even care of the 4 Euro for each sunbed, and that the toilet was unusable.

We went to Lindos twice even though it was an hours bus ride from our hotel. The first day was spent walking to the acropolis (€6 per adult) and then back down to the village (my daughter went via donkey (€6) and is still talking about it now). We walked around the shops and had lunch before going down to St John's bay which is a lovely spot to have a swim and relax in the water on the stones. There was a small cafe down near to the water that seemed to hire out sun loungers. This made us decide to return with our swimming stuff the following day.

On the second day we decided to walk down the road to the long beach first to see what it was like. This was very early in the season and there were no places open on the beach yet and the beach was pretty much deserted. There was a bit of litter on this beach so we decided to walk along to the smaller beach. This was another story, the sand was soft and clean and it was ideal for building sand castles or swimming in the bay. Very good for kids as it was shallow for a short while and did not suddenly drop off like many beaches around here.

There is also a good selection of bars near this beach and a shower to get cleaned up. From here there is a short walk up hill to the main village and its many winding streets and shops.

I would recommend a visit here anytime! It has the rare combination of beauty, history/culture, shops and nice beaches.

Best on Rhodes. Warm, clear and clean. Golden sand and no big waves. Parking right next to beach and very shallow even for toddlers.....
