“You can get lost”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 May 2014

Walking the small winding streets of Lindos is an adventure. You are never quite sure where you are, but always find another great building, shop, bar, restaurant, or other incredible experience. The people of Lindos are welcoming.

“Immerse Yourself in the Back Streets of Time”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 May 2014

A beautiful white sugar cube village sitting below the impressive acopolis. It offers two town beaches as well as St Paul's bay beaches. Tavernas are rich and plentiful many offering great rooftop views around the village and looking up to the acropolis which is illuminated at night. Do take in the tavernas and bars that were former captain's houses as these are magnificent, many still living history museums. The wonderful pebbled mosaic "hochlaki" floors abound around the whole village. Some are ancient eg the church of the assumption of our lady and those in the capains' houses. Others are modern but are done in keeping with the village as a whole. Don't leave Lindos without visiting this aforementioned church.

“Wonderful place to stay”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 May 2014

Lovely little town with narrow winding 'roads' that labyrinth around pure white homes and businesses throughout the town. Easy to get turned around but fun exploring your way around. Many shops and restaurants catering to the tourists. There is a real sense of community in Lindos.

“Lindos, most beautiful place on earth!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 May 2014

If you do nothing else before you die you must visit Lindos it it is breathtakingly beautiful. Do not be deterred by the walk down the hill from the bus stop, it is not as bad as you think and nor is the walk up the hill to the acropolis and castle. Have a drink in the village before you start your ascent and take some water. The street to take is called Acropolis and is simple enough to find. Before you know it you are half way there. Where else can you see a classical acropolis and a castle in the same place and with the added bonus the best views imaginable. Do not forget you camera and spare batteries! The best six euro entry fee ever spent. On the way back down you can explore so e of the many shops and restaurants. The houses are whitewashed and the lIttle narrow streets reminiscent of Mykonos. St Paul's Bay is also easy to find and very beautiful I can see why people choose to marry there. In all the best day out ever. Easily accessible via public bus from Rhodes bus station for 5 euro each way with regular buses.

“A day trip from a cruise barely does this justice!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 May 2014

As I wandered picture perfect whiter than white Lindos on our morning tour from our cruise ship, all I could think about was how great it would have been to be there at night in season for some local food and music. The advantage of the timing, however, was that the locals had plenty of time to show how friendly they were and how lovely it would be to spend more time. The houses have lovely interior courtyards -- try to see one!
