Stiff climb to the top, but you can get a donkey. Worth the view at the top of st pauls bay and as far as you can see.

The acropolis of Rhodes in some parts more resembles a construction site at the moment than an archaeological monument, but it remains astonishing, from the unique ship carving at its foot to the spectacular views over St. Paul's Bay, the ancient theater, and the tetrastoon. Many of the buildings are almost entirely rebuilt, first by the Italians, now by the Greek state with money from the EU, an approach to the presentation of ancient sites that will not be to everyone's taste.

Lindos is a great place to visit and you can't visit Lindos without seeing the acropolis. It gives you a nice view of the area and some history, even though it was "improved" by the Italians in the last century. The donkey ride is interesting, too.

Lindos, great ruins, long climb to the top. Do the climb in the morning because of the heat. Bring water with you. Spend the rest of the day on the beach.

Don't miss it, great view, awesome in my opinion.
Would be a shame if you miss this attraction in such a small place like rhodes island - worth the drive.
