Fantastic location for Lindos town. Bus stops to Pefkos or Rhodes. Beautiful views. The owner Antonio has worked his socks off for ten years to make this a relaxing, clean and ambivient enviroment to pass on the riegns to his son next year...Rafael.
As ever on this Island, everyone is so attuned to your needs and comfort.
Seriously...Book and enjoy. You wont find better!
Thankyou!

My girlfriend and I have just come back from Lindos where we stayed at this hotel, and I would honestly say that this exceptional hotel was exactly what we were looking for; and any previous negative comments about Antonio (the owner) are pretty pathetic.

The hotel has large rooms with everything we needed. You don't generally spend a lot of time in your bedroom on a sunshine holiday anyway, so the facilities available were more than sufficient. Every room has a view of the pool and a balcony, which we very much enjoyed sitting out on of a warm evening playing cards and drinking a few beers!

It is located in a quiet area surrounded by picturesque mountains, and you are literally a 5 minute walk from the absolutely beautiful town of Lindos, and 2 minutes from 2 supermarkets. The atmosphere around the hotel is very friendly and because this is a small complex, everybody tends to say hello to each other and there is a warm vibe around the hotel. The pool is perfect! Great size, great temperature with plenty of sunbeds surrounding it. Pool bar/snack bar serves good and very reasonably priced food and drink, and the small team of staff are very friendly.

As for comments about Antonio being rude and a "jobs worth"... don't even take notice of them. He is a quiet man but was always happy to help and we had a few nice chats with him... really nice guy and has clearly put a lot of work into the place. As for him sitting by the pool bar all day not doing anything... so what?? When you're on holiday why would you possibly care about how much work Antonio is doing in his spare time? How could that possibly affect your holiday? So ignore those petty and childish comments, as everything at Rafael made for an incredible young couples holiday and I cannot wait to go back there again next year!

P.S Take some mosquito repellent!

We stumbled across this place quite by accident as a last minute holiday three years ago and couldn't beleive our luck by the end of the holiday. We returned last year and were there again at the start of June.
Antonio the owner is a really nice guy, if you want to have a chat he is always available. It's exactly how most of the reviews say - very peaceful, with plenty of space around the pool and a beautiful well maintained garden. The only disturbance you will get is one of the local cats meowing for a little food and Donkeys braying! If you are anything like us then you will be spending half of your holiday feeding them......
The town has great food try Dionysis and you must go to Maria's for a homely authentic Greek feel.
We would advise to walk home after eating as you will be that full and the 20 minute walk including the slog up the hill will make you sleep a little easier.
The pool is open from 9am to 6.30 which is fair enough as this is for the benefit of all the guests!
If you appreciate simple rooms cleaned daily and a quiet setting with a hillside backdrop featuring wild goats then Rafael is for you and you will not be dissapointed.
Air Con is available on arrival for a fee (around 60-80 euros) but we didn't need it in June. However the previous two years we were there in August and it's a must

We stayed here at Rafeal Studios for 2 weeks its great.
The peace and quiet is lovely all you can hear are the donkeys and crickets.
Rafeal Studios are clean and welcoming just what you want for a nice chilled hol.
My hubby said to mention that the pool is oblong rather than weird shapes better for those who take swimming serious, its also a very clean pool too.

ratings I will definitely be coming back......................................

I stayed here from 23rd May for 2 weeks. with my husband. It is so quiet here( except for the donkeys and the cats)completely stress free. If you want entertaining and evenings at the bar dont come here, its just not that kind of place. The rooms are quite large and clean, the beds not too bad for holiday beds lol.if I had any complaint (which I dont) it would have been helpful to have a tin opener. However we just asked antonio and he opened the tin for us... so much for being unhelpful.I saw some one had mentioned the rule about no swimming before 9am , this was because people might have still been sleeping and also the chemicals were still being added to the water. Antonio is there if you need him and if you initiate conversation he was always happy to chat but otherwise he just leaves you to get on with your holiday. All in all this is a really lovely place for a relaxing holiday. Its a 2 min walk to nearest supermarket and 15-20 min stroll DOWN to Lindos town for shopping eating and drinking coming back up might take a bit longer (lol) Go and thoroughly enjoy.

Room Tip: All rooms face the pool and are on 3 floors .2nd or 3rd floors have a better view of the Acropolis.

Me, my other half and 2 friends stayed at the Rafael Studios in Lindos from 23rd May - 30th May 2012 and we all had a fantastic stay. I disagree with the reviews regarding Antonio, the owner. When we arrived he was very welcoming and showed us all to our rooms. He was always helpful and cheerful at the bar and nothing was too much trouble.

The Apartments are situated at the top of Krana, in a peaceful location with fantastic views down towards Lindos. There are 2 supermarkets only 5 mins walk away. The apartments all sleep 2 and have everything you would need for a self catering stay. We only used these facilities for breakfast as we prefer to eat out on holiday to try the various restaurants. The pool area is very nice and you never had problems with sunbeds. There was always plenty available. The whole apartment complex was clean and well maintained.

Down into Lindos is only a 20 minute walk, which didn't bother us. I don't think I've ever been to a resort where the standard of food in the restaurants has been so high. Our favour restaurant was Acropolis Roof Garden. We ate here 3 times over the course of the week. There are plenty of pubs to stop and have a drink in with music playing into the early hours of the morning. The village of Lindos is beautiful and you can spend hours wandering around the little cobbled streets.

We used both the main beach and the beach at St. Pauls Bay. The beaches are very clean and the water is crystal clear. St. Paul's bay is lovely and the small sheltered cove is excellent for swimming.

A day trip to Rhodes Town is a must for a wander round the old town and harbour. We jumped on the local bus from outside Krana supermarket, which only cost 5 euro each way.

We all had a fantastic stay in the Rafael Studios and I would definitely return here when I visit Lindos and Rhodes again.

p.s. I will add photos of the apartments once I have downloaded them from my camera!!

This accommodation could be great-it's in a lovely quiet location only 10 mins easy walk to Lindos. The rooms are basic but large. Nice pool.

However the owner Antonio is very rude and unwelcoming. We arrived in pouring rain and he clearly has no people skills. He complained that he didn't even know we were coming as if it that was our fault (he hadn't received the information from easyjet holidays which wasn't our fault). He treated us as though we were criminals even though we had paid in full already. He then reluctantly left it to someone else (?his son) to lead us to our room.

The next day my friend used the pool at 8.30am and he shouted 'NO NO' and screamed that he couldn't use the pool until 9am. Seemingly he is a stickler for his own random rules-there was no difference to the pool in that half hour and he was sat by the pool the whole time so clearly he's a jobs worth. The pool may only be used between 9am and 6pm for no reason in particular. As a previous reviewer said Antonio is sat watching TV by the pool from about 8am until 9pm and is never friendly. I feel sorry for the lad who works for him who seems nice enough.

So my advice is pay a bit more and go somewhere where you actually feel welcome. Don't waste your money. Should this property change hands it would be a great budget apartment. It's a shame because everyone else we met who worked in Lindos was very friendly.
